This also reminds me of all of the MU I don't have. Quote:

There are still 50 lurkers! If you guys are interested in Marvel 3.75" MU, join up! We need some more members here.
Also, thanks for the Peter Parker pics everyone! I think the Squadron Sinister 2 pack head would be perfect if it weren't for the stern face. I'd go with it if it were neutral. |
Do you guys have any NYCC predictions? It's at the beginning of October so I think we might see an MCU Strange or the ANAD version with an axe.
I also think Gwenpool is likely due to her recent jump in popularity. EDIT: I mean Spider-Gwen. |
Could somebody post pics of the MU Family Dollar variants? The only one I found was Thor.

So looking at the same 51 Legends 6 inch figures that have been peg rotting for over 2 months at my Wal Mart, I noticed the different labels Cap, Spidey, and Avengers so essentially three different lines sharing UPC codes and was reminded of something mentioned here. If there was ever a time to try a seperate line of 4 inch figures again it's the Spider Man movie. I'd love a movie Spider-Man and Vulture and then 3-4 comic characters.

That is the one really big thing that Hasbro has got right that Mattel did not. They both had the core line ( MU and DCIH ) but Hasbro did movie lines for Thor and Iron Man, in particular, that were 100% MU compatible. Mattel did an example of a critical fail that is dictionary example worthy.

Also, that Champion of the Universe in the background is killing me. I need that figure so bad. |

The whole body is series one Spiderman, and the lower arms and legs are showdown spidey. -The ankles were modified to have more articulation -The thighs were modified to have thigh swivels -The fingers had articulation added so he can have fists, open hands or thwipy hands -A neck joint was added -Magnets in the feet were added for sticking to metal objects -The mask was crafted from scratch at my request so he could have a mask to hold for posing/pictures while unmasked. It was made by Noodlechow and is quite possibly one of the finest MU scale Spider-Man's in existence. And I'm honored to have it on my shelf. http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/...ps76ae534c.jpg http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/...ps43e9450a.jpg http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/...ps76633e72.jpg http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/...psgub5dxek.jpg http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/...pslvpp44ab.jpg http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/...ps2ssfn67u.jpg http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/...psdnvx32vg.jpg |

That is, without a shadow of a doubt, the best 3.75" Spider-Man in existence, one of the best Marvel 3.75" customs in existence, and maybe, one of the best 3.75" customs ever. Thanks a bunch for sharing! |

I'm not as active on this forum as I once was, but I've methodicaly built one of the largest collections of quality MU customs around. These are just a very small sampling of the highlights http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/...psl29husv4.jpg http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/...ps7rvatqxt.jpg http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/...pswq0gz9rj.jpg http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/...pso26oh1qq.jpg http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/...ps4cnghcbs.jpg http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/...psknr1cuqv.jpg http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/...ps0aazz9u9.jpg http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/...ps4oogiywr.jpg http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/...psbuew3zgl.jpg http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/...psba368c8d.jpg |

I honestly don't feel it will ever go back to the glory days under Hasbro. They are obviously focused on 6 inch, Dwight Stall says real collectors don't collect 3 3/4, and so unless they fire him or he leaves of his own accord, it's not going to happen. Guys like Shartimus Prime who have a loud voice in the reviewing game are not fans of 3 3/4. The only hope is that some other company takes a chance on 3 3/4 Marvel figures, because Hasbro has no interest in it anymore. |
