Recently grabbed the figures I wanted from the Sandman wave and my Spider-man collection outgrew its space in the detolf. I set this up prior to arranging them in the Batcave that I picked up for $15

Is that the newer Mattel full scale ring, or one of the old ones from Jakks Pacific? They used to make some epic playsets with ring skirts and everything before Mattel took over and scaled back the size a bit.

i'm shocked none of the X wave is available for preorder yet....

According to something BBTS posted, Hasbro and Target have an exclusive deal together so no one is allowed to put the wave up for preorder until April 15th.

I personally prefer the Universe Galactus because he is much bigger.

It's a movie...and for all we know, Vulture's wings are of alien origin and are super lightweight. Not to mention, if you want to complain about Vulture not being able to walk or fly with wings that large...Tony Stark or Rody would get NOWHERE wearing a suit of armor like that...period. They'd collapse under their own weight, or simply fall flat on his back and end up screwed like an upturned turtle.

...Uh, the Iron Man armors are powered armors, which means that they're basically wearable robots. The wearers don't bear the weight of the suit, the suit bears the weight of the protective armor and the wearer. Even if the armor was completely depowered, it would not weigh on the wearer; the armor would just sit there with the wearer contained inside safely, with no pressure on the wearer. It's not that unbelievable that we could develop armor that, similar to Iron Man armor, is very strong despite the servos and motors not only having to compensate for and overcome the weight of the armor, but also amplify the wearer's strength beyond that. The armor's ability to move about is far from the least realistic thing about those armors.

In that same respect, the Vulture's wings are attached to a harness that utilizes magnetics and it augments his physical strength as well, provided he is wearing it. (Although he has shown he is also able to levitate without it for a short period of time...) So although it looks like he's just wearing a set of footie pajamas, in concept, it's not all that different from Iron Man. Vulture's kicked cars out of his way and has picked up water tanks in the comics, so people should lay off the whole "he'd never be able to walk or fly" thing.

So can that Cyclops and Phoenix 2 pack be found yet? Or is that set for april like the other retailers?

No idea when it is showing up. It could be August before it comes out.

That sucks. I'm not sure which I want more, the regular version or the 2 pack. I like both designs, too. Either way, this would be my first Marvel Legends 6 inch figure.

I wasn't familiar with the Universe Galactus, but I just looked him up. That thing is massive and looks good. Do they all have that talking function? I'm not a big fan of gimmicks and buttons and karate chop action type stuff.

Boy Blunder 02-27-2017 11:27 AM

Checked out my local Walmart yesterday while running some errands.

After a good long while of jack crap there, they had EIGHT CASES WORTH of the Dr. Strange wave.

So I'll be heading back later this week to grab myself an Iron Fist. If they weren't all retail price, I'd snag Karl and Cape!Strange too, and finish off my Dormammu.

I might have to snag a Galactus and Apocalypse if I can find a deal online. Those guys are massive.

Galactus talks, but it doesn't negativity affect the figure.

Not trying to brag, but I have both versions of the BAF Apocalypse. It is such a cool figure!

Brag way man, that's awesome! Post a picture of both side by side if you get a chance.

Dr Kain 02-27-2017 02:08 PM

Yeah, Galactus may talk, but the feature doesn't hindle the figure at all. It's also smartly placed in teh center of his chest.

I really want a BAF Apocalypse or Sentinel, as I've been on an X-Men kick, but those are going for more than I want to spend right now.

How is the Series 7 Apocalypse? The BAF is sick, but also huge, so I figure a regular size Apocalypse would work too,

Yeah, that's the one! I really expected the price to jump hard at the end, but everyone must have forgotten about it, lol. I'll post pictures when I get it!

The only hing about en as a baf is his lower legs just seem a tad too thin for his bulk. I wish i had kept all my old toybiz bafs. I had both pocys, 6 sentinels ( that wave had great custom base figs, which is why i ended up with so many sentinels ) and two antmen ( one i painted as Blue n yellow goliath ). Someone invent a time machine so i can go back and kick my own ass before i get rid of em!

Yes, and the movie Vulture also seems to have some sort of exoskeleton, at least for his lower body (and probably some hidden support for the spine), to allow his body to support the wings.

I would tell you, but unfortunately Apocalypse is the one figure I have yet to free from his plastic prison...

Thanks for posting this! I've yet to find the GotG wave at Walgreen's. Gonna start checking out the local Walmarts now!:thumbs

They probably could have picked up a little more margin. They must have been using old prices, because I know a lot of shops comp right of Amazon and EBay. Either way, I'd rather give my business to a comic shop over Walmart or Amazon.

Yeah I think the Cyclops is the higher priced one on the secondary market it seems like...then the rest of the wave.
