I think I saw something that said the new articulated Spiderman is using the same buck as Daredevil. Does anyone know if that is the same buck as Steve Rogers? And does anyone else have an issue with the legs on that figure constantly falling off?

And yes, it's the same one as Steve Rogers. |
Had this body lying around from a custom I needed the head for a long time ago and no idea what to do with it, then I had an inspiration last night.

Where is everyone getting this stuff that Jesse Falcon is in charge of the line now btw? He doesn't even work for Hasbro. He's Director of Merchandising for Marvel Entertainment. He works with Dwight who is the Senior Design Manager for Marvel brands for Hasbro on all the products, Legends of all 3 scales and role-playing items like the Captain America 75th Anniversary Shield. |

But that thread blew legends out of the water, and on most every other toy forum out there the same is true. I'll always prefer 3 3/4 inch for a laundry list of reasons, and lots of other people are pretty passionate about it as well. Quote:
Dope figures, but fragile as hell Quote:
Honesty I was mentioning Falcons name because I saw someone else mention it and I figured they saw some info about it somewhere. I've since watched some comic con videos and it looks like Bobby Vala is now in charge of MU. He said the fans should be excited about what's coming and that articulation may be returning. A few of the NEW figures they showed (Hydra Cap and That awful looking iron man) did in fact have chest articulation. Maybe things are looking up. |
New here, but I have been on other forums for some time, particularly AFI.

What a shocker! Thank you for clarifying that. Misinformation and twisting words seems to be the norm to create mob mentalities and perpetuate hate when we should be celebrating the line, the offerings, and the many more to come still. Marvel seems very pleased with Hasbro overall, and it's likely going to keep being a decent partnership of product lines for a long time to come. It's not like Toy Biz exists anymore at all, and would we really want Mattel to make them with their V-cut leg articulation for female figures? Hasbro has given us 7 years of amazing figures, rejuvenated legends, and is still looking to give us some great 4'' figures and even expand the line with vehicles like we asked for. They lowered articulation a shade(wrist and ab crunch disappeared for awhile but are making a comeback), but they did up the amount of independent sculpts like we asked for too. Maybe we should cut them some slack instead of piling on the hate. So they can wade through various forums to try and find what we want to help them instead of checking in and feeling assaulted for trying to give us what we asked for. These are toys after all. It's not the end of the world. They do have to follow market trends and deal with retailer relationships, and run a business ya know. Give them some breathing room. This is a market where they have to balance not getting stagnant and finding a way to rejuvenate the line while still keeping sales up. They do have to factor making material that sells, but also making material that can be sold again later too. I honestly half expect a new rendition of Captain Marvel when closer to that movie's release. Probably higher articulation and maybe even a neck hinge like they had on Ironman's so she can do flight poses. Added reason to repurchase a figure you may have already bought two of. As for the complaints previously on Legends packaging for BAF limbs. Dwight is right. That one's on retailer security. The packaging 6'' legends uses now is directly because of fan demand for boxed packaging in the past for many reasons. We're literally seeing fans complain about getting stuff they asked for. So let's take a step back, take a deep breath, and try this in a kinder way to tell Hasbro how we'd like to see the line evolve within reason and the abilities within the scale. Like I'd love to see that Sister Grimm released in 4'' but I recognize the fact that the way 4'' figures are made, it couldn't be done with the arm swap method the 6'' offers. So I'd personally prefer the more modern Avengers Arena caused Witch arm design. And if they're doing vehicles soon, what vehicles would we like to see? Personally I'd absolutely love seeing the Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider car done with him included. Especially with him set to appear on Agents of SHIELD, that'd be awesome! |
