That's like what double and a half of the original sales price? Wow man, did you end up getting it or did you understandably pass on it?

Exodus 02-13-2013 02:21 PM

Just going to post this here since it's 3.75 related, but it looks like Cloak and Dagger singles which is weird...and another West Coast Avengers Team Pack? Unless the Uncanny X-Men team packs are going to have a variant which is going to suck butt. And another Jugg/Collossus? Like seriously, but this one does look a lot tougher and cooler.

Anyone else think that the black and white iron man is disgusting? I would have much rather had a marvel now version.

That's actually the Marvel Now stealth armor. Well, the paint scheme is anyway.

Symbiote 02-13-2013 04:43 PM

They should of just repainted the movie armor.

I think Hasbro discontinued comic packs in favor of team packs.

I'm not into the look of that armor, I agree the marvel now version would have been a better choice.

Yeah, it's the same here. The UK and Ireland is an afterthought to Hasbro though so it won't ever change.

Where are we seeing an additional WCA pack and a second Collosonaut?

I think the good news from Toyfair wasn't just the new waves, it's the fact that there weren't any "familiar characters in new outfit" figures. No new Spider-man or Wolverine figures announced. Some fans really want "Marvel Now" MU figures and we didn't see any announced (except Iron Man). I think that means the future of the line is healthy. Mix in "Marvel Now" repaints with members of Alpha Flight, X-Men, and the Avengers that we're missing.

Thats weird to me since the team packs hang around store shelves a lot longer than the comic pack. In my area anyhow.

At those prices, why do they even bother? Hopefully you guys can keep getting your figures from friends on sites like this one.

It is a comic armor. They'll get to Marvel Now soon.

Yeah, it looks like a mix of Marvel Now stealth and Ironman from the end of Fraction's run where Tony was forced into not wearing the suit anymore and a new Ironman showed up that no one knew. (I know who it was, trying not to spoil.)

They'll get to that armor. It's all about balance and how to make people rebuy a character they just bought. For Ironman that means hitting as many "comic appearance" or similar nodded type armors as can be.

Probably because of the backlog of packs from First Class. Those Jean and Cyclops packs are still clogging shelves. Plus they still have a handful of comic packs that haven't hit yet anyway. We'll hopefully hear more about that around SDCC. Team packs are just easier to get retailers to order right now.

sosparadox89 02-14-2013 03:29 AM

I went to WM and I seen the new Spider-Man and Iron Man toys and all I can think of is all the Blades and Visions that could have been...

Heh yeah I did that with my Thor too. I used the legs from the ToysRUs light up base Thor so the boots are darker I think. The movie Thor head was a pain to pull off. :/

BAD MOON 02-14-2013 12:50 PM

What are everybody's guesses as to the Marvel Universe SDCC Exclusive this year?

I think we may see an original X-Men boxset in their classic uniforms. To compliment the new All-New X-men series by Bendis and Immomen. Would be pretty cool.

But they had an X-Factor set last year, so it would look kind of similar I would imagine...Need something fresh and new!

Still crossing fingers here for the exclusive to be FOOM. As in Fing Fang Foom. preferably green too.

Seriously, I hope that it's something I don't want, like Fin Fang Foom or a Marvel Now product. I would be really happy for the people who want those items and I could save my money. I was lucky enough to have friend get me the Masters of Evil set from last year but before it was official, it was kind of nerve racking.

2012 wasn't a great year for 3.75" collectors. 2013? It's pretty damn crazy how much awesomeness is due out. That and the Transformers Masterpieces are coming in abundance as well (my newest addiction). Money about to get tighter.

Sadly, I heard from a few people out this way that the Foom is almost 100% no go for this year's Con. Which is too bad since I think it'd make a cool exclusive, especially with the Iron Man 3 out this year and Mandarin in it.

But then again, who knows what rumors are true or not.
