what SDCC exclusives hit retail?

A variation for the most part has hit retail

Ages of Thunder Thor was released at retail
Ult WWII Cap was released at retail

fallowing that trend we could see the exclusive at retail with some sort of variation.

I guess it's possible, but with the Sentinel and Galactus, that's really a low percentage of (all Con) exclusives that have become available at retail.

Snailbot 06-05-2012 10:38 PM

Also, these figures are way too wanted to not be offered elsewhere. It seems bad business to not want to make that money.

wolverine2281 06-05-2012 10:41 PM

to be honest I think only hardcore collectors really want that set. I don't think the general public or kiddies know who these guys are and that's why they're usually better suited for comic cons. I mean look how well GotG did :/

True but what 3 pack is really aimed at kids? Around here they go for 24.99 and a lot of parents aren't going to spend that kind of money on a toy that their kid will forget about in two weeks. I still think we will see a retail variant, but that's me being hopeful =3.

wolverine2281 06-05-2012 10:51 PM

3 packs are a better value. $25 for 3 figures as opposed to $10 each (actually I think the 3 packs were $20-$22 around here). Fantastic Four, Avengers, New Avenger, X-Force! I would think kids would go for those

fallen69lee04 06-05-2012 10:51 PM

pff i wish it hit retail, even if it did itll be expensive, only hasbro will have it for around 29.99 but thats just me i could be wrong.

True again, but even at a better value, times are tough for a lot of families. Many would say you can have a 9.99 one, but not the 24.99 one, reguardless of value.

I guess so. either way every single 3 pack shelfwarmed around here. MoE would do just the same. Which is fine by me so I could pick them up on clearance :) And if times were tough I would say to my kid Hell No you can't have a $10 toy! But she's only 3 ;)

Tiberius 06-05-2012 10:59 PM

Hahahaha the 3 packs here FLEW. Strange. Almost all single carded figures peg warm for a very...very long time..

WalkingDeadpool 06-05-2012 10:59 PM

The only one I didn't see shelf war was the Avenger's Classic 3 pack.

I was gonna say that too, yeah I only saw the Avengers around for a little while less than the others. But LMK if you need any of the others! I'm sure I can still find them around here. Singles are still peg-warming around here as I assume is the same for the rest of the States (from what I've read)

Thanks. I just used Dr. Strange Lower body and the accessories off modern Namor fig. Minor problems supergluing his small wings on his ankles tho but it came out nice.

Tiberius 06-05-2012 11:26 PM

You know, I would APPRECIATE if Hasbro would make a MU Old Man Logan.

wolverine2281 06-05-2012 11:28 PM

it's not bad, but not as polished as you get when doing the body swap with the Dr.Strange legs and new Namor upper body. Plus, those old guardian legs suck

1andonly5711 06-06-2012 06:46 AM
