In comics, the drawins arent as articulated as an actual actor so I think thats why they do more in terms of 'detail' when it comes to movie figs..

Plus, the movie lines are temporary and the company knows its going to sell so they have to put in a little more effort to make it sellable..

edit: also, in the comics, every artist draws characters differently. Look at my avatar, That colossusnaut is massive but when you read AvX, colossus is no where near that big. Comic's constant change in artist vs movie staple characters is where it seperates i guess

i have a passion i hate movie line figures

Oh shit drama on the ark. Don't rock the boat.

I'm not sure what this guy said to get everyone in a tizzy. But it seems like some don't give credence to the fact that this is a discussion board. Its not a let's droll over Hasbro and agree with everything they do thread. Some may be harsh in their criticism. But thats how they deal with disappointment.

I can relate to many grips over the line. Sometimes I post something and sometimes I don't But sometimes I figure someone will get all upset that I don't like something they do. So I don't bother.

Feedback is good and I like to think that sometimes Hasbro actually hears us.

I enjoy multiple opinions and the discussions that ensue as a result. But I don't like Arkers being ganged up on because they said something someone didn't like or agree with.

best comment on the subject in question.

I will only say this once. Trolling, baiting and/or flaming WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. I don't care who started it, I don't care if you still feel the need to make a point, I don't care what caused the friction in the first place. Consider this a final warning.

Also, as I have said repeatedly, this is a Marvel thread. It is not about Joes, WIP, or anything else. We have threads and forums for these other subjects. I understand going off-topic once in a while. But when it happens every page, sometimes for two or three pages in a row, it's too much.

More detail = less articulation. More articulation = less detail. The budget can only go so far, so the trick is to find a balance between the two.

Hi, I am a noob to this thread. I thought I would share my Appreciation for Venom. I also customized him a little... sorry if this is the wrong thread for that. I love this figure because he resembles McFarlane's artwork, and I was never fond of the Venom illustations that were sloppy looking and had Hulk like perportions.

http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/a...E/Venom1-1.jpg

Granted I had to perform surgery on his knees, paint it black, and sand down the spine to appreciate him more, but now that I did I have a near perfect Venom figure.

http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/a...E/Venom2-1.jpg

He might have got the shaft in Spider-Man 3, but not in my house.

You gave him knees? That's awesome. Only thing I hated about that figure was knees.

Edit, thought you made the first spiderman line venom actually have knees.

Movie figures aren't for everybody, certainly not for me, unless they're "comic series" versions. I loved that Iron Man and Cap had a comic series but still disappointed Thor didn't.

Right now, this thread is salivating for new MU. When July comes and a few on this board start getting their new hauls, this thread gonna go nuts!

Then the Masters of Evil 3 pack... BOOM!
