Looks like that hulk has a new head

MGTAJ 06-08-2012 06:29 AM

May buy the three of those packs, depending on cost to the UK. Weirdly, I haven't got a single Thor or Iron Man yet

Is there any difference in the Classic Avengers pack from the one we got last year? Are we getting the new sculpt red hulk single carded or just in this 3 pack? Inquireing minds want to know.

P.S I going to pretend I didn't read that they are canceling Avengers EMH. One of the best toons out there next to Young Justice.

I don't think there's a difference in the Classic Avengers set--pretty sure it's the same from last summer. I guess they're just pimping as much Avengers as they can this summer.

Nothing confirmed yet on a single packed new Rulk, but I can't imagine it won't happen. New, fresh mold,.. and it's a Hulk,.. seems inevitable that we'll see him in numerous packages down the line.

D00MTR0N 06-08-2012 07:34 AM

saw about 7 gladiator figures at target.

uberlad 06-08-2012 07:58 AM

I missed all of the excitement yesterday! My only comment that I'll share (because it's hilarious) is:

Save the drama for your momma, but please, don't forgo the comma. Boo negativity. Yay punctuation!

Also, I'm glad to see the 4/$20 is back. This summer is shaping up to be an expensive one. I've been biding my time army building Red Ninjas and MIB figures, and even those are expensive.

Plus, I have a feeling that MU is going to hit at about a one wave a month; then factor in two packs, three packs, and exclusives. I need another summer job, pronto!

usagent27 06-08-2012 08:00 AM

Since there has been no new MU or ML I started collecting minimates to pass the time

uberlad 06-08-2012 08:01 AM

Since the Rhodey IM2 figure is all over the interwebs, what are the odds that we see the Rober Downey Junior sculpt show up soon? I can't imagine them making one and not the other. Or maybe they're saving it for an Avengers movie exclusive for the DVD release. That would be awesome.

That sounds dangerous! There are too many of those darn buggers. They make all the best characters, too. If only MU had that kind of selection. And then, if only LM would sell them all 4/20!

shortysben 06-08-2012 08:03 AM

Yeah, I am expecting probably close to 300$ in figures over the summer, only because I am taking into account not being able to find the new figures, might go to ebay, or through my LCS 12$ a piece...

Plus hopefully 40-60$ for the MOE set, and another 60$ for the Masterworks (usually easiest to get on HTS after the show...and I hope it has free shipping again!).

But I have already saved enough for the new MU, and my trip to baltimore Comic con this year, so I am all set...

Considered this as well, but like ML I am just too behind the curve, catching up now would be enjoyable...but EXPENSIVE...

I feel ya on this one, bud. Because of the lull I now have a substantial IM collection (lol), which went against my word of only collecting one version of a character. Now I got extra Hulk's, Thor's, Wolvie's, etc ... and the cherry on top? I just "had to have" the WM 6" Avengers ... and here I thought I'd never collect the dolls. Smh.

I only need 6" Hawkeye to complete my set and I'm willing to pay proper and/or trade some Marvel 3.75" particulars to appease my craving.

If any Arker can help out, I am your huckleberry.

usagent27 06-08-2012 08:54 AM

I have passed on the new thanks pack at least 4 times now because the paint job sucked. So I got into minimates while I wait. They are fun an addicting. I prolly dropped 200 yesterday on my massive haul

Maybe get some of those long clear drink stirrers I see at the supermarket and make blasts for Iron Man and whoever- they look strong enough to serve as flight stands- just make the blast hold up the figure and secure it to the ground with a base of some kind and Quakehold..

Its not too tough to do. I just used those twist ties and coat over it with hot glue. Use tamiya clear paint. I got a laundry list of accessories I want to make (cyclops, dr strange, enchantress, iron man, sinister, etc etc). Flames for johnny storm would be boss. I made some for ghost rider.

I finished up making my psychic accessory for my professor x. The thing about telepaths is coming up with a way to showcase their powers.

Those drink stirs do work great for blast effects on iron man. I got the idea from jin daoyome. Great idea to use em as flight stands or put them on iron man's feet. Here is what I did.

And yes, that venom custom is just oozing with all kinds of awesomeness.

Yup, although the shipping methods with that chinese seller are weak, I'm happy to grab these from him without getting those extra figures I already have. Thanks again to the arker who have us the heads up. Memory is bad but I think it was shockwave or fallen.

Very dangerous. Although I did see a 4 pack that came with 4 versions of venom. I wasn't that one.

These new team packs in the Philippines will cost around 1.8kPhp..which is roughly around $42 [with the current peso to dollar conversion]..

The Classic Avengers Team Pack has been already released before..maybe they are just milking the Avengers hype..not sure if there's something new..

The cancelled War Machine Rhodey has also been making its way here, being sold in hobby stores...I am still undecided whether to get one or not..

looks like its based on the movie avengers..plus falcon (maybe cause of the rumors he's gunna be in Cap 2), but that also means no Pym, Wasp, Ms. Marvel or Vision either.

IronAvenger 06-08-2012 10:02 AM
