Some HYDRA love that almost was. Was in final stages of production six years ago. The rug got pulled in the eleventh hour.....

Sad, as an Artic HYDRA team with some GI Joe snow vehicles would have been bad ass.

Ok makes sense now. I only ever saw the cap and red skull pack. Your picks had me thinking you pulled a raf and found some secret supply hidden deep within Hasbro and looted it like Dr.jones in a temple

I wouldn't mind it if they raided their older molds to make that Baron Strucker in the current line, tbh. I always love adding a good Nazi in the collection!

Did that sound weird?

Il Cattivo 09-03-2016 12:06 AM

I'm still waiting for a hitler figure.
come on hasbro do it!

ukmu 09-03-2016 12:22 AM

HYDRA broke away from the NAZI party because the group didn't believe in the the ideology of the Nazis. They craved tech and power, not the dogmatic views. They then further separated into the scientific branch A.I.M. and the criminal enterprise Secret Empire.

Primacron 09-03-2016 01:37 AM

Strange that it was Cap versus Strucker and Red Guardian, I would have expected Cap and Red Guardian versus Strucker.

I guess they did Red Guardian in the international patriots set, I wonder whether we'll ever see Strucker?

Actually that was going to be a 3 pack in MU. The Cap movie international set was separate and that is a different Red Guardian.

Baron Strucker has a good chance since that was an actual mock-up. Heck he was even in the most recent Avengers cartoon with a Yelena Bolova Black Widow.

Which would give them good reason to revisit those molds for a future wave release.

Hasbro isn't apt to leaving Marvel scrapped material scrapped forever, it's only a matter of finding good timing to release it later. So we could still see those released at some point like how Emma Frost was, among others. In fact, they may have a 'filler' wave ready from scrapped molds by itself. Strucker, Yelena, Skurge, and more. Though maybe not on Yelena since the original uses the old Ms. Marvel buck that was highly limited. They may opt to use the current black widow movie buck instead. Or at least replace the arms with the X-23 buck's arms to give her arm rotation with the rest using the original Black Widow mold.

Holy balls, where did you find this? They look amazing. I hope Hasbro eventually releases these figures. The only one's that I can't see being released are the figures from the CA:TFA line.

Ah yes, because they're currently in the process of giving us more articulation

Kamatayan 09-03-2016 08:48 AM

Who's the new person in charge of the Marvel 3.75" figures at Hasbro now?

Kinda are. Compare the new female mold usage to the original Ms. Marvel buck. Outside of the wrists, Carol Captain Marvel has more range of motion than Carol Ms. Marvel. Using X-23's arms would fit that same articulation trend that the newer molds use for women to give them better arm motion range. Outside of She-Hulk and Jane Foster Thor, bicep swivel is unlikely for figures of women. Elbow rotation is a middle ground that ups range of motion.

There are a lot of complaints about lack of articulation on this site, but if you really compare the original Ms. Marvel to the figures of now, even with reduced articulation we have larger range of motion from the figures of now for poses.

Dwight Stal is still the head of the Hasbro Marvel products department as far as I know. Though according to job listings someone else posted awhile back, they are looking to expand the product design team. IIRC, 4'' in particular was what the listing was for. Which suggests if they need a larger design team for products, they have a lot that needs to get designed coming up for later release. You expand a team when you need extra help because work load increases higher than normal, and if it's not a quick turnover position and hasbro is looking for longevity to who they hire, that means the work load is expected to stay at higher numbers for awhile.

Which bodes well for us 4'' collectors.

I remember people talking around SDCC season about someone new heading the 3.75" Marvel division. I remember the Marvel 3.75" designer application, though.

That was people here saying they wanted someone new, and were also saying that Jesse Falcon was taking over, which he's the Marvel side of the merchandising rights equation, not replacing Stal, he works with Hasbro as he's under Marvel's merchandising department and has been since long before the start of the MU product line back in 2009.

It was complete misinformation.

They still kind of are Nazis, I mean Red Skull makes speeches exactly like Hitler would.

Isn't A.I.M. a seperate organisation they collaborate with sometimes?

LordMudd 09-03-2016 11:54 AM

Hydra was the parent organization. A.I.M. was the science and technology branch until it broke away.

CCC.

Basilisk 09-03-2016 01:21 PM

My Future Foundation Mr Fantastic and Infinite Wasp arrived in the mail today! :D

ukmu 09-03-2016 02:03 PM

No one ever gives Secret Empire any love though... just A.I.M.

bmorr 09-03-2016 02:08 PM

Ok, discussion time!

Now that our beloved 4 inch line has gone through almost 40 waves of figures(inlcuding infinite and legends, I think its time we have another discussion/ debate on what exactly is the best wave out of all of them. My pick? Wave 19:

Il Cattivo 09-03-2016 02:29 PM

don't know if its the best but wave 13 is definitely my favorite.

I bought a second Emma Frost to turn into Polaris.

I don't know if I should find an Enchantress head or a spare Wanda head to turn into Lorna's head because sculpting the head piece may be difficult to do.

My favourite wave... perhaps, arguably THE best character selection of any wave. Many long awaited figures in one shot. Great articulation, great accessories great distribution...perfect wave in my opinion.

Get your wallet out because those two are expensive! But a great way to go if you can find one. Alternatively, you could get a cast one and have it painted. Or hire someone to sculpt a perfect one. Any f those paths will run you $25-$35....well worth it in the end to be honest if she is a highly desired character!

Loved this wave only fig I didn't want was Cyclops and I needed to get a second Valkyrie since the first ones arm snapped on me. But that head went on a gijoe body so no real loss there
