Got Hassk Thug (Varmik) on Sunday and am expecting my Takodana Encounter set this week from BBTS. My SW's 3.75 collection is coming along nicely!

Yeah, there's a Hastings about an hour away from me that I stop at when I'm visiting my folks. I bought one of those sets last year for $20 in case I never find a standard, non-screaming Hicks. I actually went there yesterday and they had three more for the same price. It's well worth $20 or $21.

I was tempted to buy the new Kenner homage style Ripley, but I have the regular movie version already so I decided to pass. It's seems like it would be a good enough substitute though if you didn't already have the movie version. The cannon she comes with looks awesome!

For the most part, eBay prices start at 40, and head upward. If they are lower than 40, the seller will often be asking for 15 to 20 dollars to ship.

I really wish I had a Hastings within sane driving distance...

I was never able to find that set around here either.

I initially thought I wouldn't get the Kenner Ripley for that same reason, the movie one is great. But then when I saw it in person the thought occurred to me that she'd look good when they get to the Kenner aliens themselves. It is still a good figure and her mostly-smart-gun is nice.

I don't really have any nostalgia for those old Kenner lines because I never had any of them when I was a kid. If i see a figure I like, I pick it up whether it's based on a movie, comic, video game or those old action figure lines. It does kind of urk me that I spent so much time trying to track down the Aliens Ripley and found the Kenner homage Ripley without even looking for it. Oh, well.

wish it had a bit more articulation for dynamic poses, but i have the marvel select loki for that

I was "lucky" insomuch that an Aussie eBayer had them for $40 AUD each (retail here is $35 AUD each) so grabbed em and saved having to run around looking for them.

Even though I have an IMAX theater nearby, just outside of Savannah, I decided to hang out with some out-of-town friends and go see Civil War in IMAX in Augusta, GA.
While there, we stopped by 2nd and Charles, where I found The Beetle; the figure at the top of my "most wanted" list of Spidey villains !
And, he was only $20, which is far cheaper than I've seen him sell for on Ebay.

Hasbro has been doing a stellar job with the Legends line lately, but outside of maybe the occasional BAF (like the Hulkbuster armor), they just don't give us the sort of solid, hulking figures that Toy Biz would often produce.

I just want a classic Beetle at some point, and maybe a Boomerang, and Hydro Man, ....hell even Rocket Racer, Shriek, and the spider Doppelganger would make me happy. I also really want Cardiac.

Hasbro has heard your pleas and will now offer a Mach V figure instead :rolleyes:

If space weren't something I was trying to crack down on conserving I'd have gotten all of the Superior Foes figures in the legends line.
