Honestly, I don't think the Rocket Raccoon wave BP looked bad, I kinda liked the paint shading. But this does look better.

Hnnnnngh. When is this gonna show up around here? I swear, Triv, you're the only person I've seen to actually own this baby, and damn do I want to add him to my collection.

that alternative human head for black panther should have come with legends also. the movie fig looks better than the legends and if you put that chain thing on the movie fig, it will look solid. still debating to get blk panther but with that human head, it looks good

Both of those figures are Legends. One is based on a movie look, and the other on a comics look, but both are still Marvel Legends.

Also, I don't know if they're allowed to include a headsculpt based on a specific actor outside of its original use for a movie Legends figure.

Interesting, I have never thought about this but you are probably right.

Really liking this figure's head sculpt and very clean paint apps.

JokerArkham 03-29-2017 05:01 AM

was very surprised to see the GOTG wave at my local target
Marvel legends are like gold here in australia

picked up the New Star lord on the headsculpt alone

Really? The last wave I've seen here is the All-Father wave and the MCU Hulkbuster wave, I'll have to check out my local Target soon.

I like the blue paint shading on the earlier version, but I can understand that it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea. I've had lots of luck using a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to remove paint shading that I felt was too heavy handed. I just cut a small piece of the Magic Eraser and rub off a little paint at a time. The Magic Eraser leaves a little white dust on the figure and it can get a little messy, but you can just rinse the figure off under the tap and it's just fine.

i really like this fig..
the only thing TO ME is..i think her face looks slightly older than it should.
This character has been constantly growing on me. I was actually watching the Avengers cartoon last night(sidenote: the third iteration <as far as i know> of Civil war)..and she was fighting other heroes while complimenting them and being in awe....she sucker-punched hulk..and then made some goofy face (with her 'stretchy' powers) ..i think that was the first time i ever laughed at anything on that show.

Kamala's great, but I do agree with ya, DTL. It really seems to be depending on the angle, but a few times I look at her and see more lines than I'd expect. But overall, I'm very happy with her, and can't wait to fill out the rest of the ANAD Avengers.

Or, if the world is a fair place, the new Champions.

Weapon X 03-29-2017 09:58 AM

I'm liking lately how Hasbro has been improving female figures arms. My Black Widow looks like she has anorexia or little kid arms. My Dazzler figure, however, has really natural looking arms.

Yeah man..i gave that book a fair shake (Champions)...but am not really feeling it..and i think i read like..the first 6 issues.

But i'd LOVE to have all the characters as figures..
AND I WANT VIV FIRST!!!.

I'm with you on all counts, tbh. I like the concept a lot more than the execution (at least under Mark Waid, but then again his writing doesn't do much for me in the first place - see, also, ANAD Avengers, heheh), but I would not balk at getting Viv, Totally Awesome Hulk, and Teen Cyclops (hell, let's fix the error of that previous box set and get a proper set of teen O5 X-Men, now that we have the male teen body - I'm sure some tweaks to the new Wolverine body could result in a teenage Beast). And a Gwenpool, due to association.

I hope you're not implying that's a problem! Honestly as much as I love the entire wave, I think Dazzler is the best sculpted figure by far. Possibly the best sculpt that Hasbro has done period (and that's saying a lot)

Nooooo...its makes me tingle. Loved farrah fawcett back in the day. And its funny how the sunglassless coulson head kinda slightly looks like bosley ;)

Idk what Xanadu is but she definitely has Farrah Fawcet hair. The face is a bit too old for my taste though.
