I wish collectors could unite and just stop buying new stuff of eBay. Scalpers really take the fun out of this hobby. As long as people keep feeding there wallets they won't stop.

You could buy multiples as long as it was a secondary or third transaction. I read on a few forums people got away with ordering up to 4 before they sold out. That burns me up but nothing I can really do about it but complain to Hasbro.

We have also seen that Hasbro goes and canceled many of these duplicate orders and puts the stock back on the site to sell to other people. I remember it happened with XFAA when they put him up there and it often happens with other exclusives they sell. I remember people trying to buy extras to help out people outside of the US, like myself, getting the excess orders canceled. They will let you make an order, and then once that's been shipped/delivered you can order more if it's still in stock. If you try to make five orders in 10 minutes you can bet those people will get an e-mail that the extra orders have been canceled. Keep checking the site.

Yeah I remember that, sheesh I feel like it's gotten worse or something trying to get the so called "rare stuff" off of HTS.

It's kind of crazy how these artificial demand monsters for the dumbest things are being created recently. With me it was sneakers...growing up I could find any Air Jordans in stores and in recent years the dumbest color combinations sell for $200 at Footlocker and double that the next day on eBay. It was a great culture to be a part but when I saw how greedy people were being I stepped away and haven't looked back since.

I heard on that Marvelicious podcast how some resellers have been hoarding any and all Steelbook Bluray DVD sets that sell for $20 and they resell for $60-80. LMAO... I'd be so pissed if I collected those and out of nowhere see prices like that on eBay.

But this preorder thing is great. Everybody gets what they want.

I just saw this post and you know what help create this monster was the internet and along came Ebay...IMO. Made reaching out to people a lot more easier and marketable. That and news forum and so forth as well. Cause before then no one really knew what was "hot" unless they had inside source in getting them and what the people wanted, and how else would you be able to sell the items unless you stood on a corner slanging it:P I remember the first hot toy in my time was very first "Tickle me Elmo".

I think there are a small number or people that consider figures like this a good chunk of their "income" so they sit around waiting to pounce when stuff goes up. The same guys that are at TRU or Target or wherever at opening every morning.

Some of this is completely created by Hasbro. Us collectors see one per case Widow, can't find any, and freak. Some scalpers are clueless but most are in the know I think and just have their clueless friends or relatives keep an eye out. They know that both 6" and 3.75" folks want Mandroid. They also know that the old Black Widow isn't cheap. I honestly think many scalpers just type stuff into ebay and look at the highest prices and say "hey, that figure is a gold mine".

cidman911 04-03-2014 04:06 PM

This is 3 times today it sold out before I got to step 5. LMAO. What did I ever do to deserve this punishment?

Try a different search engine. Google, Chrome and Firefox usually work better than yahoo.

cidman911 04-03-2014 04:23 PM

Hey Raf!

Different search engine? Its on my Galaxy s4 phone browser I'm trying to process order with. I dont have access to a pc at work.

ultraman zoffy 04-03-2014 04:24 PM

Got one just now on HTS with the discount, confirmed order number and everything. With my first one from Amazon for $13 shipped and this HTS one for $17 and change shipped, I'd like to take this moment to say f*ck you very much, scalpers. =)

I've seen some at toy shows for about $80-100 but never gave them much thought/research.
https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/54...r/856/f4iz.jpg

They are one of the few figures along with the Flying Annihilus that don't look like Fantastic Four movie figures and can fit in a normal Marvel display shelf. That's one reason they're sought after, another it is an army builder and the last released wave of that movie line. Finally, there are two versions of this figure one with red light up eyes and one with yellow light up eyes. I'd have to get the batteries replaced on the doombots I have to show you the difference in pics.

But all of those factors lead this to be the stupid expensive price that it is.

ProfessorHov 04-03-2014 05:03 PM

Okay guys I found the way to get one when it says out of stock. You leave that check out page open, make a new page and refresh the hell out of it. As soon as it's in stock go back to
Your order page click place order it will go
Through this way you don't have to reput everything

cidman911 04-03-2014 05:30 PM

I'd love to see a Youtube toy review if you're up to it, Roshan.

Yeah without ebay I couldn't even get a lot of these figures as much as I hate to say it. You should always set a cap on what you are willing to pay (no more than double retail) and put that bid in at the last minute. People line up early every day at the target, TRU, and Fred Meyer here so I don't even have a shot at this stuff unless I miss work. Sure I hate scalpers but I think these things are just insanely popular too. I wasn't able to get wasp or black widow on HTS and I hope a lot of it was fellow collectors. I think widow is on the way from amazon and I ordered a case of wave 2 for wasp I just won't buy these guys on ebay at the weight in gold price.

Now I need a Coulson, HASBRO GET TO WORK! And make sure there are at least 2 per case.

Kernel 04-03-2014 06:32 PM

BW is gone again. U have like a 1 minute window tops.

cidman911 04-03-2014 06:32 PM

Do what ProfessorHov & Exodus said...if it says sold out by the time you get to step 5 DO NOT DELETE HER FROM YOUR CART. Just refresh it or another page with the figure and when its back in stock, finalize the checkout. You'll skip all the other steps others are rushing to finish and you'llbe ahead of them.

I just hope nobody here is abusing this restock and buying multiples...get what you need and move along. No need to buy 5 and make it hard for thr rest of your fellow collectors.

I don't think arkers would do that. I was able to get it for friends who were at work. I am just happy no one I know has to pay scalper prices. Happy panda dance.

drewdeluxe 04-03-2014 07:44 PM

Kinda weird I timed out and my cart emptied.. I wonder if people at HTS working late hours and gonna put it back up, or wait til tomorrow..
