Kevin saved me making one myself, I have so many half finished projects on the go that finding a decent base and then the time to work on anything is impossible right now, I have so many unpainted heads primed and ready to go

I got it for under £20 total from a US seller, still expensive for one figure but I only do it for ones Ive been after for a while and have had trouble finding. |
I may be mistaken, but I'm sure that Forbidden Planet always gets some SDCC Figs everyyear so it could be a good way to get your Hank Pym set?
|
Ah, goodness. I've paid much more than £20 for some figures - both TIH movie Hulks cost me about £30 each.
I should really stop buying figures at such an expense. |
Anti venom has been the most expensive single figure at £35, I have paid £20 on the odd occasion for 1 or 2 single figures but Im always happy to wait for a better deal or buy in bulk so I can average it out.
|
I wish I could boast that.... I have paid through the nose for some!
Galactus, Taco Truck set, SHS Beast, most of the Wrecking Crew were £25 or so, TaskMaster, Enchantress, Firestar, SHIELD & HYDRA goons, transparent Carnage, Astral Dr. Strange, my custom Arnim Zola wound up costing quite a bit after buying all the parts.... |
Found the Ant-Man Marvel Legends in my local Disney Store today for £22.95. No Ant-Man but all the others were there. They all looked fantastic. If I had enough, I would have got them all in one go but I only had enough for one. Went with Grim Reaper. Loving the crazy face!

Alternatively, if they looked like MI they'd be $8.... ;)
Or they would just call them Mashers!!! Ha, thought of that one twenty minutes later so I had to go back and edit! |

Alright lads, come vote on the MU contest thread - there's 4 entries, every vote counts!
|
....voted.
a lot of people spend some time making this stuff, and someone is giving away a lot goodies. I figured it is our duty to spend 5 minutes to show some love to those that did the customs and to Ky for putting it together. |

See? The rules for one seem to vanish for the other - that's why I call bull. But hey, we know I'm wrong because a guy who has said several times *in front of people* that he doesn't care about the Infinite line and thinks 4 inch is for kids and that 6 inch is the collectors line said so, so we should believe him. Look at it this way; if people quit Infinite for Legends because the value and quality isn't there - he wins, because Infinite stops selling and Legends sell more. But if people keep buying Infinite, he proves cheaper figures make money and uses their wide profit margin to subsidise improvements in Legends. Heads Legends win; tails Infinite loses. *None of the above was aimed at you A Friend - just a general rant summing up my feelings*. |
I'm with you!!!! It is all A Friends fault! Let's get him!
|
My thoughts exactly, Lionheart. You would see a huge drop in quality across the board for all their toy lines; but lo and behold, Legends are saturated all over retail with more waves than ever. Vonner left, so did the heart and soul of MU in my opinion (cause and effect). Some of the new figures I am very excited for, like Spiderman Noir, simply because of the excellent articulation it comes with using an old buck. The rest will probably be cherry picked, only to fill the vacancy of the characters I don't have in my collection.
But hey plastic costs a lot, so let's make more and more Mashers!! It's magic plastic that costs less...k. Or 2.5 with vehicles that heroes ride but not really. More good ideas, right? Really seeing them "try" to save money on production costs, all the while churning out nonsense products that have no relevance (why would war machine ride a motorcycle?) makes me question thier intentions. Yes yes, the kid argument. Well when I was a kid, I personally liked Batman in the standard colors but instead I got to choose him in every color of the rainbow except the real color scheme because toymakers just didn't get it. These guys just don't get it; I smell ego more than I see a problem with "costs" from these guys. |
