Lol,not really the best option, but it is an option I guess.
Just look up that description on eBay,and you'll find that head from starwars geek. I don't remember what his eBay name is,but it's different. The discription is the same. I resized the bootleg select Mark 43 Robert Downey Jr head to both Marvel Legends&Marvel Universe scale. This head: http://i1254.photobucket.com/albums/...4CA63C252E.jpg Here it is reduced to 3.75" http://i1254.photobucket.com/albums/...E33664BB5A.jpg The 6" version will be a Vortious item, and the 3.75" version my wife will end up selling on eBay in limited numbers. I gave her around a dozen copies a week or so ago,and she's fixin to list them with more The Walking Dead shrinks. I'm the guy who made TWD shrinks that come&ago on eBay...she sells them when I make spares with extra plastic from pours for personal items or commission work. |

Why do cast pieces have to have such a specific search if you want to find them? Is it a legal thing, or what?
|
Probably. Names are patented.

Have you ever tried shrinking a hot toys sculpt down to 375 scale?

Cost is a HUGE factor! Some stuff is just not possible. You have to think about how thick an item is already, and what you'd be left with after reduction in size, plus remember hot toys uses soft goods for the clothing that won't cast... Whatever thickness you start with, that item(s) will be that many times thinner to get to 1:18 or 1:12. Parts become paper thin, eventually you start to fight parts opening up all together.
If anyone has cracked open even a 6" figure you'll see they're already not that much thicker then a 3.75" gijoe. some parts are thinner then most 3.75" figures depending on the sculpt too. A good example is Marvel Legends SDCC Shanna. http://i1254.photobucket.com/albums/...4BA7FCF7E0.jpg After shrinking the correctly scaled torso is as thin as or thinner then paper across the belly, waste pivot bar recess, and in the small of the back, thinner even then most mold flash! You can see light through the original 6" torso!! Shrinking it makes it 60-70% thinner as well as smaller. A belt or holster would be pretty much impossible. Reduced that much there's nothing left that wouldn't just come apart just demolding it. In this mock up pic using scrap casts(this one had a bubble in the left cheek) you can see the modeler's clay I put inside the lower torso halves to set the gijoe T-bar right through the plastic! It's that thin!! http://i1254.photobucket.com/albums/...3099958962.jpg Quote:

Looking at the shrunk female figure has confirmed what I've always thought of mu scaled female figures that have a swim suit/ body suit type outfit like Electra. And that is it the bikini area if not the whole suit should be sculpted to a certain degree if not it just looks like bad body paint

I need some help. I don't really follow the comics to closely. Most of my figures are kept in small teams. I'm looking for team ideas so not everybody is in an x- man or avenger team. Also need some villain team up ideas.
