I always find exclusives at TRU.

Can I go on record and say that the Spider-Man Legends symbiote Spidey sculpt is the best symbiote Spidey I've ever owned? Because it is.

Having only 15 out of the original 16 number cast is an eyesore to me that still bothers me to this day.

Besides, techno has always worked better with the Mortal Kombat crew anyway.

You're preaching to the choir, bro. I'm fairly certain that the unreleased SOTA Dee Jay is my grail. I thought that drowning the collection display in variants would help mask his absence - but I think it only served to further highlight it.

And poor Dan had both a broken hand peg, and a torn ponytail peg.

I feel your pain! I've had breakages on at least 7 of my collection. The most painful was P1 Dhalsim snapping a shoulder peg. Mika falls apart if you so much as think about picking her up (and I don't even count that as a breakage). Ibuki's crotch is loose (filthy wench), at least on most of them. I've had one fully disassemble itself. Fun.

The line was not robust. It was, however, stunning. I love the figures so much. Their individual sculpts giving character specific articulation and cracking likenesses and paintwork really helped capture the characters for me.

I think I still have a handful of duplicates, if there's any great interest..?

I'm still too new to post links, but I'll pop a couple of pics up when I'm allowed.

To keep this on topic - I used my first broken P1 Chun-Li's boots toward a Excalibur era Dazzler custom some years back. She's been a worthy enough placeholder for years - but she'll be getting ousted once I open Skating Disco Farrah in July.

I don't know why but I literally Laughed out loud on your response but Walmart Exclusives and Target Exclusives have always been easier to find then Toys r us Exclusives but that just might be me.

hasbroherofan 04-05-2017 09:06 AM

I have a hard time finding Toys R Us exclusives because it seems like the ones near me very rarely restock their Legends. I don't know why it is since the store is pretty successful and does good business, but they still have stragglers leftover from the Doctor Strange wave. When I went in a while back looking for Ms. Marvel and Green Goblin, they still had stuff from the Giant-Man wave.

Is that true? I don't know. I never go to Walmart unless there's an exclusive, and the same goes for people I know. I hate that fucking place.

Weapon X 04-05-2017 09:17 AM

I don't actually even know what the point of any exclusives is. Aren't they making less money?

Boy Blunder 04-05-2017 09:17 AM

All this talk about Walmart exclusives being easy to find and TRU exclusives being impossible, and... lemme tell ya, fam... I have seen so many photos of MCU Falcon and Winter Soldier, and I STILL think they're a friggin' myth. Walmart exclusives are the most impossible thing to find here (unless they're Skylanders or Monster High dolls for my wife's collections, and even those are hit-or-miss). Meanwhile, Target is ol' reliable, and TRU has yet to fail me, even if it's much more of an active hunt when looking for those.

But Walmart? Let's just say that I'm very apprehensive about whether or not I'll ever get my hands on that comics Black Panther.

Not really, because IIRC, the stores themselves are buying the right to sell the exclusive. So if anything, they're making more money.

I could be mistaken on my facts there, though, so if anyone in the know could correct me, please do.

I saw Falcon on the shelf at a local Walmart last night and picked him up at a reduced price. They had Winter Soldier too, but I prefer the one from the Mandroid wave. It looks like they had some old stock they were running through. I'm stoked to finally have Falcon without over paying. They actually had a couple of them.

RoboSnuf 04-05-2017 10:02 AM

Those WM exclusive Falcon and Winter Soldier were pretty easy to find here (in ASDA/Walmart) in the UK. I think I saw a WS on clearance last time I was at Walmart, for £6. I'd offer to check again when I'm next there and ship him over - but after shipping costs, you'd probably be better off just finding one more locally online.

Haha for me it's the opposite, although I never go into a Walmart to hunt any more...

I've never seen those 2 at all, but then again I barely go to Walmart to hunt now a days.

However this will help for those who were waiting or who have missed out. And I'm guessing dorkside will do individual figures as usually which will be great for those needing Cyclops and Colossus.

I do wonder as others have posted, if this will be a new thing for Legends. Between Target, Walmart, TRU, and Walgreens, and that's just in my area, you have four retailers to choose from as well as other regional ones I'm sure. If they did a staggered release to one retailer early it would help those who "have to have it now" and willing to make the effort to get out there and search for it. And those who are willing to wait (as I will be for the rest of the year I think, except for the A-Force pack), you still have your e-tailer route.

I know it's got frustrating points to it but it's also a win-win in another point of view.

Agreed, it's been hit and mess with the Etailers vs the brick n mortar stores as of late.

Just allows us to speculate on the upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom line that is rumored to be coming to Legends this year. My attempt at humor the other day using T.Hawk instead of T-Bird probably didn't help anything either.

Captain Nash 04-05-2017 12:37 PM

You want off topic wait until we start talking about the comics again. We can go on forever.

Dr Kain 04-05-2017 12:42 PM

I'll give the new X-Men comics a shot when my local library gets in the trades.

I'll have to wait until next week to pick up comics, but that's the book I'm looking forward to the most, what with the stellar team lineup and all (well, aside from Generation X, but X-Men student teams are one of my biggest jams).

I'm also hoping it leads to a newer Rachel figure in the line (though not in that costume or with that codename - she comes off looking like she belongs in the Shi'ar Imperial Guard as 'Prestige') Personally, I'd prefer her jacketed look from her time at the Jean Grey School, though I know the majority would want her in her Hound/Excalibur costume.

Haven't played it (we went XB1 over PS4, though we'll probably get it later), but I've been following the conga line of disappointments regarding that game. Kinda hilarious, especially since I'm more of a KOF guy through and through, and that release has been much less problematic.
