...anyway, to make this more relevant. Have any sites other than BBTS and Dorkside started listing the X-Wave yet? |

That's jus' nasty, bruh...you know that farts are actual fecal particulate-matter, right? That's why if you go for the gusto in a fart, you'll actually see a skid mark in your briefs... Note: people that fart in other people's faces should get KTFO. Second - Yeah, maybe you're right. My statements may have been a tad hyperbolic... Allow me to rephrase: those figs are "complete garbage." Fixed ;) Addendum: all because I'm a Legends fan doesn't mean I'm a "blind" Legends fan. Contrary to popular notions, being a fan of something doesn't preclude critical assessment. I grew up loving Star Wars, but I could tell you 30 secs out of the theater that the prequels sucked. I have friends I still give a hard time for trying to defend those flics... Third - (and in summation) I own the two pack Winter Soldier (Widow/Bucky), and despite the much maligned ball hips, it's still considerably superior to that junk Hasbro put out...there is no ambiguity in my stance on MCU figs, they ain't my thing. That said, I have acknowledged that, on average, MCU figs receive greater TLC than their canon counterparts. That being the case, WTF happened to that Falcon fig? Head sculpt - design execution - uninspired paint...just not very appealing. And for you, someone irritated by "glossy," that figs head looked so lotion'ed up that he may bathe (look, I'm a Brit - grammar joke) in Vaseline to keep a sheen like that... |

I bought it today, well probably give it a read tonight. As for stores that are good and which suck, i believe it depends what area you live in. I normally find MAJORITY of my legends at wal-marts. Taegets are real suck ass down here in florida, and don't even get me started with how much TRU stores are constantly disappointing me. I try to avoid going there if i can. Walmarts however are plentiful... |

No one place gets the job done. @TBM 1st. i read your first point about 6 times...and laughed every single time.... 2nd. maybe falcon had one of them mammas that greased his face up before he went outside everyday..so it's what he's used to..product of his environment and such... |

@Tim
lol @Nite I know. I neglected to add "recent." Typo...but I suppose you've been waiting on that one making it even harder to "resist." Being a human, you'll find many opportunities in the future to correct me, so keep close watch! ;) on a serious note...the Man Thing vs Swamp Thing shit wasn't an intended slight of you, just something I noticed. I think we all know that amassed comic knowledge is virtually useless anywhere else but here...and even here, it rarely amounts to a hill of beans. "Lad?" huh, I don't think I've ever referred to anyone here in terms that are infantilizing (i.e. lad, boy, child, son etc) I generally consider it to be disrespectful...based on your comments about comics, music, movies, and 'toons I think I have you edged on years, "kid!" (new things!) ;);) @Dark LOL |

Not really, because IIRC, the stores themselves are buying the right to sell the exclusive. So if anything, they're making more money. I could be mistaken on my facts there, though, so if anyone in the know could correct me, please do. About Store Exclusives, it depends on the Manufacturer/Retailer relationship. About 18 years ago I worked for a catalog/dotcom as a Buyer. When I negotiated the Trinity exclusive, the vendor gave us 1 price and the minimum amount needed to order. When we did an exclusive with another company, it cost us a lot more because of tooling and a few other things. Costs can be driven down if new tooling is reduced and depending on how many they buy. The more you buy the price goes down. The was a third exclusive where I had my counterpart at the company go back to the sculptor and ask if he had a different head for the figure as it was going to be primarily a repaint. My counterpart didn't believe the sculptor had done a 2nd head because they did not request it. He agreed to call the sculptor. 10 minutes later he called me back and asked how did I know and emailed me the picture. I told him, I had a feeling the sculptor did the head as requested by the company and then made a head that he thought the character deserved. Only a minor cost increase of about $1 or so. |
