Omg Cull Obsidian are going to be in Infinity War? Absolute yes to all five of them, but mostly Corvus and Promixa. Their designs were the most visually interesting IMO.
It's not a huge stretch to get a Corvus from a Moribus and maybe a Proxmia would at least give us Attuma's helmet spear thingies....yeah I'm just dying get an Attuma..anyways.... Great news all around on that. In unrelated news did my normal northern Nashville run last night, TRU, 2 Targets 2 Walmarts...mostly dry of new stuff. Plenty of old stuff. I DID see a Shocker and a Spider-Man UK though which was the 2nd and 3rd figures from that wave I've seen on shelf, just already have a Shocker and didn't want Spider-Man UK. |

Picked up the old Loki and Dr. Doom from the ToyBiz line today. I'm really impressed with Loki. ToyBiz definitely had Hasbro beat on paint work. I can't think of too many ToyBiz figures I have that didn't have super detailed paint.

Finally ran into Cyclops at Walgreens yesterday and picked up him thanks to my damn completionist tendencies. I won't harp on the the negatives of the figure...overall it's a good use of the Bucky Cap mold that could have used a little bit better execution in the long run, but is still able to strike some good poses. Now to figure out the best way to hot glue these damn bands into place...
http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...408_194514.jpg http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...408_195126.jpg This also means I completed Warlock...which I really have no opinion of thanks to my dislike of the character. But still...different stokes for different folks I guess. I still think the wave could have benefited with a better choice of BAF character. |
^ Nice shots.

http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...9185671127.jpg This is from a restoration project that I did last year. It was done on an SDCC Psylocke figure that was essentially reduced to fodder thanks to the previous owner doing a poor job in attempting to customize it. He ended up wiping off all of the paint on the original head in his attempts (which I was unable to salvage) and the knee joint was torn. I replaced the knee and left hand (which had also been broken off at the peg) and used Silk's head for a replacement. I didn't need to do any dremel work on Silk's head, and while the head fit a little loose, I was able to alleviate this by adding two or three tiny pieces of paper towel on the inside of the head. It doesn't fall off, and retains it's full articulation to boot. As for using the old Elektra/Black Widow body, I'm sure that Psylocke if and when she is eventually released will be on one of the current female legend bodies, most likely the Silk/Barton frame, which is the most current body mold for Legends females. Hopefully though, they will be able to tweak the hips a bit though, as the articulation there is a bit limited, especially when you compare it to Mockingbird, who was able to do full splits... |
^ That's awesome. And yah, I meant the peg hole is too big for the neck peg, so you can't just do a pure headswap... you have to have the head sort of just sit on the neck and can't really articulate it... I think I was watching Shartimus Prime's review of Silk when he tried the headswap at the end.
And IMO Hasbro has gotten so good at female headsculpts even compared to only a few years ago that I think maybe I won't even need to try and get a Silk beforehand... I think any new Psylocke headsculpt will be on point... maybe. I'll probably still try and get Silk though... just in case. LOL. |
To my fellow Brits. The Invisible Woman has started to show up in the UK.
My LCS tweet me about it on Friday, but they run out before I could take breath. I ordered one from Kapow thou. Should get it by Friday latest. Happy hunting! |
Ladies and gents, I got the current 'X-Men' wave blues:(..none in my local area...have not gotten a figure in over a month, got the shakes, man...Think going to go to LCBS and find something 'Marvel' related for my fix, ha...Most of the Walmart, Walgreens, and Targets have had the GOTG 2 Wave, but no X-Men...Might have to break down and order these figures online...Switching subjects, Hasbro please make another Psylocke, and make a X-Men 'Blackbird' for 6 inch figures...I think they can do, and it would sell out quick!

I wonder if they'll be doing a new classic Thor later this year.
|
Speaking of Thor....here's hoping the Ragnarok figure comes with the helmet.
