On the subject of vehicles, does anyone know a good substitute for Dreadknight's Hellhorse at the 6" scale? Once I have more display room, I'd love to get something to sit Bram on and make his lance look less unwieldy. Even if it's not the Hellhorse itself.

Your options are limited in 1:12 (1:6 offerings are far more plentiful):

Access Denied

Fist of the Northstar figs are roughly 1:12

Access Denied

Figma's horses are boring...

Access Denied

Final Fantasy horses are a bit doofus...like the game. HAHAHA! I mean it...

You'll have to affix wings to any of the options to complete the look.

EDIT: you are better off grabbing an atomic steed, he also rode those in the comics...

What about motuc arrow or swiftwind? Those could, in thoery, work with some painting and armor?

Yeah, that's the one. It originally sold for $170.

I think Amazon had it on sale at one time for 100ish too...

You are absolutely right and they might make for the most economical choices (still pricey though). That was my vague recollection, but it remained a "tip-of-the-tongue" (TOT) phenomenon. She-ra ain't exactly on my radar. lol ;)

And even once I did bite that bullet, I only went with it for a couple of years at most (read about 15-20 smaller/mid-sized vehicles, and three or four larger ones.) If you don't have the space for it, it's not a question of desire it's a question of practicality. And I'm sure Hasbro knows this and that's why you don't see so many vehicles outside of Star Wars.

I actually made a deadpool cycle, or Motorpool, from one of the tmnt2 movie raph bikes and as soon as i can get new paints and some decals made deadpool will have a sweet corvette ride, or carpool. They're in scale and can fit most standard sized legends. ;)

Arrow , even at local scalper shops, isnt above 30-45 ish range so its not as much of a nutpunch but thats just local. It could vary from place tp place.

I just saw one for that much on eBay....hate the color scheme. I might have grabbed it otherwise. I can't paint, making small issues like that a significant barrier...

Maybe you could paint dread knight pink and white.....call him dateknight. Haha

TheBlueMarvel 04-11-2017 12:06 PM

@Nite

That made me laugh pretty hard!

- An undersized Iron Monger from the 2008 Iron Man line
- Walmart Avengers Loki
- Ultron BAF

I believe they also did a (similarly undersized) Abomination for The Incredible Hulk.

Toy Biz Ringwraith steed could be a good base for Dreadknight's steed.

I think it could possibly be due to Marvel's one-and-done technique with the villains of their movies. None really stay around. They pretty much all die or fizzle out by the end of their respective films. Not really an incentive to spend lots of money crafting a figure for a character who's a corpse/or worse at the end of the movie.

This is the very reason that Hasbro gave when asked at a past SDCC about MCU Ronan and Quicksilver. Stall said that if they came back someway in the films that would give them the opportunity for figures.

On the subject of Dreadknight, do you think he is even worth trying to sell off anymore?

I wondered if there might have been some licensing thing with Quicksilver since he got very little in the way of merchandise for the movie, but that makes sense. He was the only Avenger not to get a Funko either, if I remember.

For crying out loud the only way to get Ultron, the titular villain of his movie, was as a BAF in a wave that featured no characters from said movie. At least we're getting a Vulture, oh wait his wings are the BAF element

Spider-Man villains will always be the exception to the rule.

Personally, BAFs from movie waves don't always fit the theme of the wave anyway, so I think why not Build-A-Accessory every now and again to get around budget constraints and make some of these movie toys better?

The Incredible Hulk movie line wasn't 6" scale, the figures were just 6" tall. I had to look on eBay to be sure but Hasbro released a Blonsky figure that was 4" tall.

There are rumours that Hela is going to be a multi-film villain, so with luck that might tip Hasbro over into making a figure of her.

I hope that's true to a degree. She has a lot of presence, it might be nice to see her around for at least another movie. It would probably be reasonable to see her in Infinity War if she is indeed the Death of this universe that Thanos is trying to woo.

I guess. But Loki has definitely been around, and we've only gotten one figure of him and he was an exclusive.

Found the whole wave after work a couple of weeks ago at Walgreens with a discount. It was a good day.
