ukmu 07-18-2015 11:54 AM

No spliffs tonight.

Pilkster 07-18-2015 12:19 PM

Hahaha it's a coaster for a chair or table leg. 50p from Wilkinsons

A Friend 07-18-2015 02:08 PM

Pilkster. You, sir, are awesome!

ukmu 07-18-2015 02:32 PM

It looks VERY cool buddy.... Get lots of pics of it.

Jackieboy 07-19-2015 02:18 AM

nice work on the HOA pilkster!!!
just going through the sdcc 15 reveals pics from various companies and noticed some fitting additions to the MU collectors universe that can easily pass as pantheon gods and elder gods from companies like neca and others.

Anyone seen those new THUNDERBIRDS figures? I checked out a couple at Tescos yesterday, the heads are a little cartoony but the bodies + acc might make some good custom fodder.

ukmu 07-19-2015 06:26 AM

No, I will have to check those out!

I've seen the suited fella, maybe a good generic suit body. A lot cheaper than Xavier or Destro.

ukmu 07-19-2015 12:57 PM

Are they proper 3.75" or a bit bigger like Joes and MU?

9.5cm so proper 3.75". The Hood is practically a Professor X anyway.

yeah noticed them, shame they dont have vehicles.on closer inspection it seems like the head is not on a ball joint neck!!!

Oh well that is disappointing

TheLongestDay 07-20-2015 02:51 AM

yeah I saw that, the heads can be cut off and drilled fit for use on ball joints but the leftover next stump is a tad trickier to deal with :/

The good guys all come with helmets too that are pretty cool looking and would fit most 3.75 heads.

On an unrelated note I bought one of those knock-off Ant man sets so I'll post some pics when they arrive :)

Hooray! LongestDay is our guinea pig!
Get some good shots of Yellowjacket, he's close enough to 4" and the only one we're getting in this scale.

Well someone had to bite the bullet! :D

Although if they are full of broken glass and dirty screws Im holding all of you guys responsible..........

ukmu 07-20-2015 04:06 AM

Oh.... What does the KO set look like? Either I missed it or just cant picture it!

Oh Jedi... Your packet came today. We'll sort of, got a letter saying I have to go pick it up and pay £.11 for unadded postage and a £1 administrative fee. Always go to the Post Office and don't guess postage costs. You could have easily lost your heads you waited 100 days for! I will pick them up at main branch tomorrow or possibly Wednesday, just depends.

:cry I'm sorry, I didn't know, I thought I'd worked it out fine.
At least they've turned up though, I'd written them off as lost.

im sure it would be easy enough to sculpt a neck and use a ball head tac as a base for the head, pretty sure ive seen customisers use those style tacs on figures that where missing the ball joint part of the neck
.
