My Spider-Wave finally arrived today. I know what I'm doing with my night once the child is in bed...

No body posts any comments on my hauls anymore because it's already expected for The King to have epic hauls.

Long time lurker, just leaving these quotes here as to why all this bull started. Exodus simply compared Bumblebree and Rafael's hauls and the sh!t hit the fan.

Dude please, you've got a nice collection, you do help fellow collectors. But please don't pull this "I should get respect and treated like royalty for what I do!" routine.

It makes it seem like you do all that because you want bragging rights, not because you do all that because of the kindness of your heart and enjoy the hobby.

So please, tone it down. It's not funny, and it's not showing yourself in the kind of light that you've given off in the past. It's coming across a bit egotistical. By all means, enjoy your hard earned money, enjoy your collection, enjoy helping other collectors out, but please don't turn those acts of enjoyment into a means of saying how much better you are than everyone else. It's beneath you.

People should be free to enjoy their collections and hobbies how they like. Let's not make this a 'size matters' metaphor on egos and belittlement. Don't throw away all the good will you've generated by trying to instill monarch notions of above everyone else. Enjoy what you have, don't trivialize others.

Besides, there's only one king, and that king is Elvis, and his furry reincarnation. Hail to the pup pup!
And the only other king I recognize and bow to is Arturia.

Nah, Jack Kirby is the only true king!! ...or is it Pelé?!

BTW, there are other people on the forum who are way more annoying than a guy joking about his huge collection, like the ones constantly bitching about something, rampant negativity, & bringing subjects that shouldn't be tolerated here, such as (non-exhaustive list) : racism, sexism, politic,...

We're all here to discuss & enjoy our hobby, & that's exactly what Raf is doing, in his own exessive but "armless" way. You may not appreciate it, it's your right, then just ignore it.

Poison Shadow 07-30-2016 06:25 AM

Geez. A guy cracks a couple of harmless jokes and people can't take it. It's crazy how sensitive some people are... especially since this whole thread is an excuse to brag. Ignore 'em, Raf!

Anyhoo, I've been inactive here for months, but finally got some "new" stuff by trading. The new TMNT movie hit me with that Turtle Fever all over again, so I picked up some of the original toys:
"hard head" Donatello, w/ staff
"hard head" Leonardo
"Hard head" Michelangelo
"soft head" Rocksteady, complete
"hard head" bebop, complete
Casey Jones, complete
foot soldier w/ staff
Slash, complete w/ purple belt
Leatherhead, complete
Rat King, complete
turtle blimp, complete
party wagon, w/ passenger mirror and roof
re-release Raphael, moc
re-release Krang, moc

Unfortunately, I already have these guys set up and displayed in a corner that is particularly devoid of light. It's a work in progress. No picks at the moment.

Oh, and I had some trade credit left but cleaned the store out of Turtle toys, so I also grabbed a Figuarts Super Saiyan Awakening Goku. I figure I'll leave this one in the box, I had to sell off all of my other DBZ stuff, so he's the odd man out in my collection anyway.

Thanks my friend! That's my point...they allow all that other stuff go by and yet they go after a meaningless jokester like me. Now I wonder, maybe I am the real King since they give me this much importance! Lol

Poison...my man! Hope all is well. Yes, I do ignore them bro. I'm just waking up in my mancave! They however won't ignore me and I don't understand why!

One more time to all...if you don't like you King then leave his kingdom and BLOCK ME! But I know they won't...cause they know I'm going to show them toys that they've never seen in their lives!

How many here have budgets and how many just buy as they see.

I miss out on a lot due to small budget but I sometimes buy things when I see them even though I know I'll get the business from the Wife when I walk in the door HA!

She has come home with figures I need many times which is really cool. But sometimes I know we cant afford it but I'll grab something anyways. It's an addiction man!!!!

Lol, you don't say...what happens with me is that I start, as an example, collecting loose spiderman figs. I get most of them and then I move on to something else. It's not until I remember I was trying to complete the loose spiderman figs that I go back and continue were I left off. Right now is all ML X-Men figs.

You're better off getting Deadpool online. He's gonna be impossible to find in the wild.

Nice! I need to start getting those Hiya Aliens. They look so badass. I also need to catch up on the DC animated stuff. I've yet to see JL v TT and Killing Joke.

It's probably a licensing problem. Knowing LEGO, they would have jumped on this immediately.

The Toyark believes Raf's been consumed by his collection! What started as a hunt for toy collectibles, has expanded to a quest for world domination!

But is RAF the true "KING" of the toys?? Can he acquire the most prized collectible of all, the world!? Will the angry Toyark villagers run Raf outa town!? Will Provost approve!? Is this the end for our hero!?

Tune in tomorrow! Same TOY time, same TOY site, same TOY ARK!

Its ok to be a king and do your thing. Some people find the bow your heads offensive but yet you still insist on doing. A king don't have to announce he is one Even with all that money and great hauls you must be a sad little man. Its not about the big hauls its about the fun. Me myself I'm not impressed at all. I could care less bout some grails cause everything I get comes out the pack.

I hear ya , I always try to keep on a budget and I as well will pass on something's because I isn't in the budget at the time , though the Mrs. Will give me the little nudge to pick it up and I usually don't argue with that :) but we keep our collecting (she collects too) on a budget, or at least try to.

You know, one can think what he wants of Mattel's toys, but there's one thing you can't take from them, it's how killer they package their exclusive stuff. This one, the WW plane, the Barbie/She-Ra, The Batusi Batman from a few years back,...& many others. Really, if they could do their figures as well as the boxes, they'd still be #1!!

Once you get the Slipknot figure you can unite the seven to create Killer Croc.

If I were you, I would wait for his variant that's gonna come out once Justice League comes out, since he's the seventh member of the Justice League and all.
