I got tickets to SDCC. What am I looking at time investment wise to get the exclusive? Am I gonna have to spend the whole day getting em?

Wow, so that Ultimate Spider-Man/Vulture 2-pack has been by far the easiest Legends thing to find in recent memory. Went to Wal-Mart early this morning, headed to the Legends section where there's dozens of Red Onslaught/Doctor Strange/Absorbing Man wave figures pegwarmig and nada. So I look around a little bit and Wal-Mart has a totally different section for the Spider-Man/Guardians figures for kids and lo and behold, several boxes of the 2 pack is sitting there on the shelf.
I know I bitched a lot earlier, but I definitely needed some form of Vulture for my collection. Even though it's not the classic version, it'll do for my collection for now. And it's actually a pretty nice figure. I like the head sculpt and the metallic greens on this figure look great. The wings unfortunately aren't articulated. They function very much like how Movie Falcon's did. Vulture has this backpack that you can take off, which reveals these two pegs that you can plug the wings into, and then you just plug in the whole assembly into his back. For some reason I was expecting the mask to just slip on over the face of the figure, but instead it's an alternate head altogether, which is fantastic. Vulture has the same problem that MCU Black Panther had in that you can't put this guy's arms straight down. Other than that, I'm pretty satisfied with this figure, though I still wouldn't say no to a classic version of the character. As for Ultimate Spider-Man....I honestly didn't take him out of the packaging yet. He's basically the one we got last year with a darker blue color (which does look fairly nice admittedly), no alternate head and less hands so meh...not sure what to do with him. |

I think after a certain point, they open up the line at the booth for everybody else, but usually by that point, all the figures that you'd want will be gone by then. When I got that Book of Vishanti set two years ago, Sunday was the easiest way to get it because that's when they just open it up to everybody, but I'm not sure how it is now. It's a colossal pain in the ass, but hey, that's SDCC for you lol. I wish I could go again this year, but unfortunately money's getting pretty tight. Maybe next year. |

@SymbiSpidey: Glad that worked out so easy for you. I hit no less than 5 different Walmarts yesterday with no luck, which is why I despise Walmart Exclusives so much. My local ones just never seem to get them in...

So there's a rumored listing of a Black Panther wave on one of the other sites (starts with F o-O)....no skus no nothing just names. I hope it's not true:
Black Panther Namor Black Bolt Black Leopard Iron Man Siberian Tiger IF this is is true....this wave is so disappointing. I hope it's just someone spouting off their own wishes because I just can't with this wave. I don't even want to see figures, I just have no interest in any of them. But sadly, some of it makes sense. Namor I can see for sure and of course Black Panther is a no brainer. Iron Man has close ties and I guess Black Bolt due to his comic Illuminati association. I have no idea who the other two are. But seriously? What about Shuri, his female bodyguards that I can't spell, Killmonger, Klaw, Kasper Cole? Gah. So much missed potential. Also no word on a BAF, but how could it be anything but Man Ape. Actually I take it back, with this wave being the rumored wave, I don't want it to be anything I want. That way I can pass on the whole thing and be happy. |

The only rumors I'm open to believing at this point are the Thor wave, and the Spidey wave. Mostly because the Thor wave has been persisting for a couple months (and Jane Thor was confirmed at ToyFair), and the Spidey wave has some SKUs. Any other wave rumors are just salt-grain-worthy.

On the other hand though...lesson learned. Until we get a SKU rumor or something official from Hasbro, it could all just be some fan's wishlist and nothing else. |

MarvelousNews has posted some in-hand photos of the upcoming Spider-Man Homecoming wave, though the photog needs to keep their flash in check :D
