Too much of the same stuff being put out, with Hasbro often requiring us to pick up stuff we already spent hard earned money on, just to get what we really want. The **** that they just pulled with the Black Series Vader and Leia recently (by re-releasing them with improved sculpts, and in the case of Vader, with a cardboard stand that was apparently worth 20 bucks) was messed up and this Vulture two pack shipping with a lesser version of a figure we received last year is ridiculous. Add in all of the Spider-Men that I could give two ****s about (like Spider-Punk or another Spider-Woman,) an entire possible wave for Deadpool that feels unnecessary and also has several repeat characters that just received new figures, the heavy and un-needed push on Starlords, and it's no wonder that I'm finding myself feeling burnt out by the line. At this rate, this will most likely be my final year collecting these, because I'm becoming tired of wasting the money to keep up and complete the BAFs...

I'm feeling that too and I don't even collect that many legend figures myself...And yeah being a completist would def burn you out. Glad I've slowly getting out of that phase myself right now.

2) You know what character those waves and that set did have? Wolverine, one of the four (not three) we mentioned as being the ones having to always be included in a wave. Our point still stands.

Don't forget Cyclops, he would be the second X character that would be just as popular to throw in there...

It's same as East Coast. Florida to Maine.

I wanted moon knight to be better. I will probably pass. I like that Tombstone though. That headskulpt is great. May be good for a future body mold as I don't care much for his.

MeLikeJinx 04-19-2017 11:09 PM

Looks like that entire Spidey wave is a pass for me... thankfully.

Hey guys.... Got a question. Making a custom for my 3.75" collection. I need advice on head to use. Hopefully it will fit the neck post somewhat easily, be a readily available figure not rare and expensive, and a close enough match with minimal paint....

The above are references.
1. the character is BAD GOLIATH
2. the base figure is ML 6" BULLDOZER
3. the reference artwork

Thanks for the advice in advance.

You don't want Mysterio?

Captain Nash 04-20-2017 07:26 AM

Speaking of the spider-man wave, considering my interest in it is so low...I'm hoping the BAF is not Dr. Octopus or Kingpin. If it is, I may have to take the effort to get the pieces....hopefully it will be something I have no interest in though.

you could just get it from dorkside, they usually sell the BAF figures completed.

i'm honestly not sure why no one likes the upcoming spidey wave or the one scheduled after it... im more then likely going to be buying both by the case. i guess i'm more of a fan boy then most of you about these characters.

granted i have no real interest in the movie vulture, nor homemade costume spidey but the rest are perfect for my spider shelf and spidey villans shelf.

That's probably what I'm going to do if it's one of those two. I can't think of any other Spider-related characters that could be a BAF I'd want that badly.

and hey, that's great you're a spider-man fan. More power to you to like what you like. Conversely, yes, that's probably a reason some of us are not as into the wave as much, we're not as much spider-man fans and are feeling a bit burnt out on it. But there will be time we get the stuff we want you may not be as into, so it all works out.

Custom Domino Update
By Mint Condition Customs

Finishing up the head and adding squared off knee pads. Maybe a more accurate Belt Buckle.

The Homecoming wave is cool to me...two classic Spidey villains, a fan-requested character that hasn't received a figure since the ToyBiz days in an updated outfit, the MCU incarnation of the title character and an MCU villain (which we desperately need more of). Even the figure I'm kinda meh on (Homemade Spidey suit) is a brand new sculpt and represents a totally different look for the character.

yeah honestly, if it were just a normal Moon Knight I would be picking that up as well, but this new design sucks.

That thing is huge....I want it. We're lucky Hasbro made it in that scale.
