I really feel like the scalper that has 15 BW's is going to break even, minus the effort in the end. Everybody that wants one can get one, with persistance at F5 sometimes, or waking up early or whatever it is that gets them one.

I started collecting ML's when I was on my way to the drive-inn, and stopped into a discount store for snacks. The Onslaught series was there for $8 each. I only bought the Green Goblin at the time, but was back the next day and the rest is happy history. People who scalp figures are never going to get the joy in it, they have no passion, except greed.

I paid $32.99 CDN for each of my CAWS figures at my LCS and so I could build 3 Mandroids, it cost me quite a bit. The owner sends me an email when more ML's come in and asks me what I'd like to be held. As opposed to the Spidey Infinite's which for some reason I paid $26.99 for, and the variants still haven't ariived. But, I like the way it works, because ordering full cases from BBTS, driving to the border to save on shipping was only putting on kms to save $20-40, plus rising costs didn't make sense.

For me to get any figure that I actually want for my collection, I go to my LCS, retail, ebay, trading through forums just like this or hopefully finding the gem of a toy show that won't put me behind too far financially. As you guys and gals know, a hobby is a not a money maker %90 of the time, because we're not in it for the money. Being passionate about this hobby has done more for my happiness overall.

I love this stuff!

For those of you that pre-ordered GOTG figs on Amazon. Do they charge you when they ship or have they charged you yet?

My girlfriend can't find any transaction from Amazon yet so we're assuming they'll charge us in June when they ship? We barely deal with Amazon so this is new to us.

I believe Amazon always charges only once they ship for both preorders and in stock items.

Amen!

I've ALWAYS lost money or barely broke even when I sold off whatever collections I have had in the past. It was always the joy of finding these things, enjoying them in my home and the bittersweet feeling of selling them/passing them on to somebody who will give them a new home.

Whoever doesn't understand that and is in this comics and toys reseller thing for the money...sucks for them. It makes me think they must have a crappy job or no job to have to rely on marking things up double or triple price in order to pay their bills. I'd kill myself if I had to live that way. LOL

And thanks todigandbedug. Thats what I thought Amazon did. We just weren't sure. If that's the case I'm going to order Drax on top of Gamora, Rocket & Star Lord. So excited for this wave!

Falconhood 04-07-2014 02:32 AM

Thanks for the pics. Wow, yeah, I remember having the older suit one with the low cut front, but not the weird one with the open sides...did he really wear that outfit? It looks like Storm's outfit, or Saturn Girl.

warmachine6 04-07-2014 04:27 AM

people who said like the last page before, i think Hasbro are taking advantage of the captain america wave so that we can get those particular figures we may not see again. i.e red skull , hydra , aim [ironman3 could of also featured], baron zemo. So the figures we want to see might be a wave late, I mean look at the black widow figure ! should of been released with the avengers ! but nope which is good in away. so that falcon everyone is worried about we might see in avengers 3 or captain america 3 waves just gotta wait and hopefully he'll have a nice classicy modern look like Cpt.A [if you've seen the avengers 2 pics] so got to wait for basically who you saw in the previous film, and yet we got a repeat figure of the WW2 movie cpt.A.

Also can anyone let me know if Baron Zemo's chest Holster holder thingy is removable - thanks

Marvel Select is not 6" scale.

6 to 7 in scale then. I was just pointing out what it was that he thought was the picture of a "6in" scale Movie Falcon he had seen. I mostly buy Select figures that are bigger characters and use them with my Marvel Legends, so to me, most Select are in the same scale as Legends. I only have a few Select that are of non big characters and they have their own shelf.

Serious Lee 04-07-2014 12:27 PM

I think we'll get Falcon in Avengers 2 Infinite, and at the very least Cap 3 Infinite. I wonder with new characters in every movie, if Hasbro will have room to put in any of the 'lost' variants, or the Jubilee wave figures. I'm hoping we get all of them, but the longer it takes the less likely it woud seem. That being said, the Onslaught wave was supposed to have AIM soldiers as variants (...I think...), so who knows what they have planned lol. And yes I know, different companies, butHasbro should be a few steps ahead with the recent awol ML's, right?

Maverick 04-07-2014 01:01 PM

I would think the antman movie line( if they make one) would be a great line to throw some missing figures into.

Serious Lee 04-07-2014 01:23 PM

Agreed, and if it does happen that Ant-Man Infinite is made, I hope they make it a single case with a possible surprise BAF...

Novel idea....I wonder how many case sales retailers would get if the case contained the entire sets of figures plus variants?

Nymesys Prime 04-07-2014 02:26 PM

For anyone lucky enough to order BW last week from HTS..could you tell me if it was in stock immediate or a ships on XXX date kind of order? if it was a ship on XXX date then what was the expected ship date?

Thanks

I think the AIM soldiers for the Onslaught wave were supposed to be pack-ins with minimal articulation, but that didn't cost out since they were including a BAF piece too, and most of the sculpts for that wave were brand new.

the AIM soldiers from the Onslaught wave were actually supposed to be pack ins WITH the other figures. I don't know how much better Hasbro has been with giving us "lost figures". I mean look at Gambit, Lilandra, Northstar, Aurora, Magneto, Red King, Bi Beast and all those characters who didn't win the poll.

JamesBenjamin 04-07-2014 03:49 PM

We did finally get a "movie" Red Skull with the Cap 2 line and an avengers head for Widow, so there's hope for a Falcon in the cap 3 line.

I had forgotten the exact details of those pack-ins, thanks for jogging my memory guys.

I really wanted to own that Lady Bullseye, and still do. I'm hoping that the SDCC exclusive(s), this year, and in the years to come are geared in the direction of the T-Bolts box set. Less mainstream figures and more of fan favourites ie. Polaris, Magneto, Enchantress and other constant winners of fan voted polls.

Hasbro isn't being asked to reinvent the wheel or anything, just make a few of our most desired from time to time, and stop teasing us with awesome stuff that we can't have!

Black Arbor 04-07-2014 05:47 PM

Probably been said before, but, man, they should just put out a "Bring On the Bad Guys" box set, with Radioactive Man, Batroc, Bulldozer, Moonstone and Agent Venom (I know it's Flash Thompson in the suit, but it's still Venom, so whatevs.) Personally though, were they to listen to my crazy ramblings on a toy forum, I'd rather have Tiger Shark instead of Bulldozer, for the simple fact that they done goofed up on the Wrecking Crew. I mean, they canceled Stryfe (not that I give two figs about Stryfe) 'cause the new Hyperion body worked better for him, so why not the Crew? My best analogy for it: If you make someone a pizza and mess up halfway, you don't just finish it and give it to 'em, hoping they're happy they got a pizza at all!

Kernel 04-07-2014 06:16 PM

HTS sale ends tonight. I picked up a Winter Soldier and Stealth suite Cap, I thought it was funny that they are limiting those to 1 per household too, and they won't ship till 04/28 I think it said. I try to stay away from the 6" stuff, but the movie was so awesome I think I am gonna complete my mandroid (with iron monger arms anyways). As for that guy that had like 15 BW's, I wonder how he did that? Did he buy 15 cases? Or did he just realize when they were gonna hit retail and stop at like 15 targets cuz I did not see any trace of that wave at Walmart and my local TRU said "they don't release that wave till Fall!"

I know how you feel about Lady Bullseye I would have LOVED Multiple Man and Brother Voodoo

cidman911 04-07-2014 09:59 PM

I got a Mandroid torso on Craigslist for $10 today. The post was up for like 5 minutes but luckily I was first. When I met the guy he said he had gotten like 5 other offers (some offered double money) but luckily he let me take it. So happy...now to find 2 Mandroid heads, one for this one and the one from Hasbro. Eek!

How much could I get for this rare variant, BTW?
