It definitely is. I've used it on 3 separate occasions and it's worked for me.

You just have to know what your store currently has on the pegs and then watch for any increases in the store's quantity online.

And no, I don't bother calling up the store. I just go. Working in retail myself, I try not to take up too much of the employee's time since I understand stores are often understaffed and they have a lot of work to do. Occasionally, I'll ask if they have more in the back, but only if I suspect that there's more.

This has definitely worked for me with TRU lately. Being friendly and getting recognized as a regular customer has gone a long way with getting employee help, plus it helps when the employees are great themselves.

Play Arts stands are bulky as well, but can still be made use of. My only gripe with them is that they tend to be a bit fragile and seem to break quickly. You can also pick these up individually on sites like ebay.

I never call before checking a store. In most cases, it will be a waste of time, and besides, with smaller staff and chopped hours, retail workers already have enough to do as is.

As far as employees knowing what's in stock, it largely depends on how much they care about their job, and how much of a rapport they have with you. It also will depend how much you believe them when they tell you they have no additional stock in the back, which in most cases is true, but we refuse to accept that answer at face value.

Let me phrase that..more like stands that would simulate flying or hovering. I have a few that i've been wanting to give them that flying pose. I have neca stands but they're only good to keep the impossible to stand figures standing.

Funny you should bring that up. Same thing happen a week ago with him and his buddy and me telling the guy to stop stressing. They immediately came back with a nasty response.

NECA has flight stands as well. Here is a pic from the Ark's gallery:

You have to know how to manipulate it. Go to Brickseek after you get to Target, look at what the numbers are on the site, look at what your Target has instock. Memorize it because then if your Target has 5 items instock at that time, and then the next time you look at Brickseek it says 13, you know they got a new case of something in.

I'm not the one that needs to grow up if you think it's funny to irritate other people. Like I said, you rarely post around here, so when you do make a post, you should watch what you say. You have little for people to judge you by. You're immature.

I have no idea what you're talking about, I've never interacted with you before.

Interestingly, I went on Walmart.com and I see that they are letting people like ToyWiz sell through their site for the jacked up prices. I don't get it.

I don't have any but if they work with NECA figures they should work with Legends, in theory. I was actually thinking about picking one up the other day since the new two pack Vulture will likely look better flying than grounded.

My post count has nothing to do with the fact that I did nothing to warrant your reaction. And the fact that you are crying as if I did says more about you than it does me. I was trying to help you out by saying that you have no need to stress about the wave when it will, most likely hit shelves hard soon. You are too much lol

Well its on the side where it says retailers and its got all the scalper ones and theres one that says walmart.com. If ya check the box it will eliminate all others that aren't walmart so ya only get walmart.com.

Hey now guys, just relax. After all, we all share a love for Marvel figs. Can we spread that love to each other?

Sure, but like I said to x. Nothing I said warranted his response. Not my fault he took nothing and turned it into a slight against him.

Everyone knows you have to have posted since February to be taken seriously around here. 😂

Hey guys.... Got a question. Making a custom for my 3.75" collection. I need advice on head to use. Hopefully it will fit the neck post somewhat easily, be a readily available figure not rare and expensive, and a close enough match with minimal paint....

The above are references.
1. the character is BAD GOLIATH
2. the base figure is ML 6" BULLDOZER
3. the reference artwork

Thanks for the advice in advance.

I don't think this one is going have an easy fix. After looking around it looks like any head you use is going to need some kind of painting to match the base body and possibly some modding to the ball-joint to fit.

With that in mind, I think your best shot is the Ultimate Captain America head. I think that with a coat of paint it'll best match-up with the reference art you provided.

You should re-read what you said to me, you called me a madman and were very condescending. You were acting like I'm an idiot and my methods of hunting aren't valid.

I have been putting a lot of effort into hunting— blood, sweat, and tears. I don't need someone implying my efforts suck or to stop "freaking out about this wave". That wasn't nice to say/a respectful way of saying that either.

I've yet to even see the xmen line hit a Wal-Mart. You just need to relax and use tools like brickseek or simply call instead of driving around like a madman.

Here I'll quote myself, I told you there was no need to drive around like a madman since there are tools like brickseek and the phone. Nowhere did I tell you your methods of hunting weren't valid. You obviously just want to pick a fight. There is absolutely nothing in what I said to you that you should be all up in arms over. If saying I don't understand why your freaking out about this wave with examples of why you shouldn't be isn't a nice or respectful thing to say then you must get your feeling hurt an awful lot.

I'm using NECA'S figure stand in these two shots. These are the ones I was mentioning, not the little disk ones with the foot peg that NECA also puts out.

Are those stands sold with NECA figures or Are they something you can buy by themself?

If you want multiple stands in one then the Tamashii act 4 has three armatures for holding figures and they seems to be a popular choice among collectors but I'm not 100% sure on their pricing or the best places to get 'em. With the NECA stands there is no multi pack but each base is $10 and some stores do a discount for buying more at once (buy 5 for the price of 4 kind of deals). I know that TRU sells NECA's stands and I've also seen them at Gamestop/Thinkgeek before.

NECA sells their stands separately since they know that not everybody wants them just for use with NECA figures, actually from reading some reviews they work better with stuff from Hasbro than they do with most of NECA's own figures.
