Actually bootleg or ambiguously obtained like so many China Bay products? I ask because China Bay has sold several bootleg 6 inch figures, but the bootleggers have mostly avoided 3 3/4. It would be interesting if they decided to enter the 3 3/4 world a bit more.

Autobot_Goldbug 12-16-2016 07:52 PM

no not "bootleg"

I want a decent 4 inch man in black so bad. I hope this works. I have so many uses for a man in black type. SHIELD agents being number one to more obscure uses like the the black suited Cobra agents in the first GI Joe live action movie.

Went to my local Walmart and they usually don't have anything new like they just got the force awakens black series figs the one with old han and Leia but tonight they had the latest vision wave in stock. So I picked up rage vision and gammorra.

Could be old stock the seller found after solid Vision went out of production however many years ago it was the figure came out. The Marvel Universe Deadpool figure has been bootlegged/ unofficially produced in X-Force grey and X-Men blue. I have have both and there are obvious differences between the Hasbro releases and the China Bay versions.

Ugh. Trying to gauge how tall the black series 3.75" Emperor Royal Guards are before buying them. I know the Death Troopers are 50th Joe size tall, but I think those guys are uniquely tall for SW figs. Don't really want short Royal Guards on my shelf no matter how cool they look. LOL.

I saw Falcon on Walmart.com for $7.97, so I went to my Walmart and got 1.

CCC.

I need to pick up that Rage.

Maybe the Gamora for her sword for our (perpetual unfinished) custom of her.

I ordered one of those Visions last week... should be here in about another week or so. I will let you guys know how it turns out.

No, not at all. It's the same one I've had. The other figs belong to UKMU, I'm just going to ship them to him. He requested that photo though.

I've yet to see another grail like that one.

Pretty sure it's a re release of the vintage RG. You may be able to find a review of that figure that does some sort of size comparison. I have the new one but I'm out of town. I'll try to remember and do a comparison when I get home.

MeLikeJinx 12-17-2016 09:55 PM

^ Yah, I've been watching through a bunch of video reviews on youtube, but nobody compared them to MU or Joes. Autobot Goldbug took a great side by side shot of the Death Trooper with a 50th Joe: Star Wars 3 3/4 discussion thread - Page 1886 - HissTank.com ...so I know those guys are an acceptable height to buy... if I ever find them. LOL.

But anyway I just took one of my Joes into the store and was able to compare them with the Royal Guard in the box... they are just too short for me unfortunately. I would have bought two of them to protect the Baronness on my bad guy shelf if they were only a wee bit taller.

ukmu 12-18-2016 02:26 AM

Stand them on something and their cloaks should hide it. Or alternatively, stand them up high and that way there will not be a side by side and they will not look short.

Raf... those are amazing shots! Five awesome figures in one shot. Can't wait until they join the "family" and tell the others! ;) Still building towards 50 troops, onwards and upwards.

My camera is shit for now, but will do some updated army shots after Christmas. Got the custom At him Zola finished and we are working on the vehicles this week. So, fingers crossed, the HYDRA Army should be ready for primetime viewing very soon.

Edit: Looking back on those pics, I think it's funny you didnt open them out of their baggies for the shot. :) I picture you sitting at the breakfast table just drinking milk because you cannot bring yourself to open the cereal!

Haha...Yeah, I really didn't want to open the package on which they arrived but I read your PM.

So, what I do is I buy two cereal boxes, one to eat and one MOC...Lol

Btw, is the new Moon Knight freakishly tall, or is the older Moon Knight just really short?

Yeah. The old one is definitely better in terms of costume.

Though I will admit, the new one's costume did look pretty good in that GOTG Animated Christmas clip Marvel put up a few days back. Plus, it had Dietrich Bader as Moon Knight.

In the comics it looks fine but here on the toy I really think the way they fumbled the head hurts it a lot.

Ha, he's one of my favorite Batman voices (for being a more fun Batman).

His Batman is definetly one the best in the biz. I think the first time I heard it was back when he was on he drew Carrey show.

Nah the Baroness needs Crimson Guards or her own troops.
Or some of these...

I have the female sniper that uses this body and I totally dislike the way her arms are. I can't seem to get her in a good rifle pose

It's just one from the cartoon. Relax.

Though admitably, I'm not sure if they just misnamed a clip from USM.

Jingle Bell Rock - Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Season 1, Ep. 13 - YouTube

kylactus 12-18-2016 03:42 PM

He was actually in the Spider-Man x-mas episode last night. Not to spoil the plot, but basicly spiders house sitting for dr strange, mysterio's daughter, the new mysterio breaks in to steal her fathers fish bowl, and moon knight teams up with spidey... though I have little experience with him as a character I have to say he came off as a bit crazy. Again, I'm not farmiliar with him in the comics, but in the show he's constantly talking to the moon, and the viewer is left wondering if he's insane or legit.
