Great pic Ky.... you should do some collection pics over the holidays and share.

Found an amazing store in St. Louis Missouri today.
https://www.facebook.com/Saga-Toys-846164065419907/

And oddly enough, one of the things I noticed was 5 light green Hydra for $22. To much Christmas to spend it yet, but maybe soon.

BLARGH! Those Quinjets & Helicarriers don't count!

kylactus 12-22-2016 09:55 PM

Yeah, but for the same amount of effort as the IM3 hall of armor, they could give us a GOTG box set with star lord, gamora, drax, groot and rocket, nebula.

Those are my two favourite!!!

And yes, it is time for a GOTG box set. Fingers crossed for a Comic Con super set.

Well guys got a few bits planned the next few days so I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Hope you all have a amazing 2017

ukmu 12-24-2016 09:49 AM

Merry Christmas everyone!

MUfan97 12-24-2016 10:04 AM

Merry Christmas(or whatever you celebrate. I just find saying "Happy Holidays" to be too PC)!

I do have a question, though:

If this knowledge is known to you, how easy are you to shop for?

Like, my Mom has said many times over this season that I am the easiest to shop for, since I have a big list and am very specific with my terms(plus, my list is pretty much an Amazon shopping spree). What do your family members say about shopping for you?

I hope no one thinks this off topic but I just had to chime in here. I have actually started getting depressed this time of year because it just isn't as much fun as it used to be. ( I actually enjoy Halloween more. ) Plus my birthday falls between there. My problem is I have usually received clothing for these 2 days. I feel that there are 363 perfectly good days for that, these 2 are for fun stuff. The problem is my family just has no clue what to get me. I could say action figures but they would get the wrong ones, and explanations just go right over their heads, so, I came up with the best Christmas/birthday list ever:

1. Gift Card
2. See item 1.

Now they can get me the figures I want without having to know which ones they are. :)

CCC.

Better be specific about what KIND of gift card, though. A family member gets my family a giftcard that is basically only good for a honey ham, but nobody in my house likes honey ham.

I vote Amazon as the best giftcards to give, though. You can get some relatively decent stuff at good prices(especially right now. Seriously, 6 inch Legends as low as $6), and it never expires.

kylactus 12-24-2016 03:58 PM

I'm in the same boat as mudd, I haven't gotten something I want or need as a gift in probably 15 years. As far as seriouus collectors go it's like, if I don't have it I don't want it, (see wife mom who gets me every piece of novelty shit with spider man on it, because I "collect".) if I can't find it, your sure as hell not going to, and if I can't afford it I wouldn't feel comfortable getting it as a gift... that said if santas reading this feel free to send any hot toys you may have to: PO box 13....

ukmu 12-24-2016 04:20 PM

I am.sure I will get a STAR WARS coffee cup tomorrow. I hate coffee. The annual Marvel boxer shorts always go down a treat. I have said for YEARS... I would like "clockwork tin robots" because I'd like to have a random shelf full of old timey (reproduction is 100% fine) tin robots. Sort of a Rob Zombie has a Christmas shelf in 1963 sort of theme...

I do not own or have ever owned a clockwork tin robot. I am sure I won't get one this year. Funny, as a dad now I think back at all the horrible gifts I got my dad. I'm sure he never used that many screwdrivers!!!!

Oh well.... such is life. On a Christmas side note...anyone have a lead on an Anti-Venom?!?! I need one in the worst way. My son even asked Santa for one. I did get a Fin Fang Foom for him (me) for a steal! A small group of HUDRA guys, and a Red Hulk (as we oddly didn't have one) and that s it for Marvel toys this time.

Edit: just read the post (proofreading what's that?) and got a kick out of the HUDRA, stupid autocorrect.... So I bid you fine folk a do. Have a happy time, spread love and.as always... HAIL HUDRA

LordMudd 12-24-2016 05:17 PM

Don't know if these count, but I do have the Robbie and YM-3 1/18 scale plastic wind up robots.

If you want an OFFICIAL Hot Toy, it's better to petition Galactus over Santa. Santa will provide, of course, but he'll provide a bootleg if movies and TV are to be believed.

Hey, coffee mugs can also be used for tea or hot cocoa...Or as a general cup.

Have you ever looked into the options available for tin robots? Maybe if you drop some links on them, they'll get the message. This method is untested, though.

Hail HUDRA.

My birthday is only a few days away from Christmas, anyone in the same boat will tell you it's a lousy time for a birthday, and throw in the shortest day of the year, and longest night, it just makes it even more depressing.
Also the wife and I stopped doing presents years ago, all the wasted time and effort is better served just buying what you want. I look at Christmas gifts as more for the kids anyways, plus it's about giving, right?

Also I used a gift card I got for my bday to pick up a classic sega, used to love playing maximum carnage:

Yeah, I imagine it being kinda sucky if it's that close, but hey, maybe that means Galactus owes you double?

I see the logic of not doing presents if it's just the two of you. I would argue that presents are also good to do if you also have a good chunk of local family that can gather around. That's what my family does, and we enjoy the system.

Btw, is there a version of that Carnage without the toes? I like the design, but I find symbiote toes to just be kinda weird.
