Bane:

Height: 6'8
Weight: 350lbs

Crossbones:

Height: 6'4
Weight: 290lbs.

Closer than you may think Chris.

thechris 09-09-2011 08:03 PM

A little bit, I guess. Still need to do some repainting and cover the eyes up with something and then paint over with red.

I know haha he's my height. It's ok, if you can make a 6 foot actor the size of a dwarf, you can have an average sized man look huge.

That's not close at all. LOL. He's got 4 inches and 60 pounds on the guy. That's like Undertaker looking up to Andre the Giant.

4 inches when it comes to height isn't a big deal. I can understand the 60 pound difference.

Hey, care to give me a quick walkthrough on that? Are they swappable by force, or is some other tactic needed?

Actually wanna pick this Batman up now after listening to all you guys. I have the Bats from the Gotham City 5-Pack, which I'd like to use as the new head.

what u do is run some water in a cup. just let it keep going till it get as hot as it can. put the top halves of both batmans in the water while its still running and let it sit for a few. when u take one out and the heads seems soft or loose then just pull then both of and switch em. might take some force to put them on tho

Yeah and make sure you do heat up the heads. I speak from experience. My poor DCUC wave 1 Penguin was the victim, you CAN and probably WILL crack the neck area, and I don't mean just the pin that connects the head and the body, I mean the actual neck sculpt itself can crack.

i havent ran into that yet. ive heard about it tho

thechris 09-09-2011 08:36 PM

When you put the head back on, you can warm up both the ball in and the head and pop it on.

KshatriyaNZ666 09-09-2011 08:37 PM

^Nice, thanks a bunch guys! I'll probably pick up that Legacy Modern Bats tomorrow since he's still peg warmin' my local Wal-Mart's shelves. :)

So the water itself won't have any adverse long-term effects on the plastic at all??

My local comic shop has that. What are your guy's thoughts?

Um, well when you buy figures, they're coated with a grease to help keep them from sticking to the plastic blister and card, so you'll wash that off and you maaay take off a thin layer of the varnish that protects the paint but unlikely if you just dunk the heads in and hold onto the figure as in don't submerge it in water. This is why I use a heatgun but it's silly to buy one just for this purpose. Blowdryer also works. The water method works.

Looks cool but I'm a consistency nut and the Direct line usually lacks articulation big time. I saw a review on the Kingdom Come GL and I wasn't impressed that the entire body was basically a statue except for some articulation of the arms and the head turned. Even more shocked that the design accents were decals! DECALS!!! and would start to peel right out of the box.

Tiberius 09-09-2011 08:43 PM

Yea, I'm afraid he will be to big :(

Still aiming for this one if no one bids, seeing the sellers shipping to Canada is 20 bucks O.o. But if I can win the bid under 10 bucks I'll be happy.

yea now thats the one. if u can get that one cheap then u winning lol. i wanted that one way back but couldnt afford it

thechris 09-09-2011 08:57 PM

It's got a nice sculpt but was never really a fan of the suit. I like the blue and grey with the yellow symbol and the black and grey with the black symbol designs best.

iLegends73 09-09-2011 09:00 PM

but see a lil black paint and u have the black and grey version

Tiberius 09-09-2011 09:00 PM

So that settles it. Must get the DCSH one. Hope everything goes according to plan.
