Marvel Minimates TRU series 14 at both the Durham and Cary stores. Marvel Minimates and Walking Dead Minimates at Ultimate Comics in Chapel Hill.

I'm not sure how long they've been out, but I noticed the new Prometheus figures at the TRU in Cary today. Star Wars figures are buy 1 get 1 free apparently.

c2close 10-23-2012 12:21 AM

fellow nc, let us know if the mp-10 re-issue from toys r us has been ordered or in shelf. really appreciate it. thanku

mj3141x 10-24-2012 02:37 PM

Saw the new TRU exclusive Star Wars Speeder Bike with Scout Trooper at TRU in Cary. Glad we have yet another version of that. But it does come with a cool display stand.

pacozord 10-26-2012 07:57 AM

c2close, just checked TRU in Durham Friday night. No MP-10 but I did see Thundercracker Masterpiece. And the Sandstorm & Laserbeak from the Generations Asian series.

pacozord 10-26-2012 07:58 AM

Whoops, that was Thursday night. Not a time travel trip into the future.

Whoohoo! You guys probably already know this but the new Toys R Us at Triangle Town Center is open! The official opening date is November 4 but they are open now and they had tooons of stuff tonight. I picked up a complete set of the "Asia exclusive" Transformers Generations figures (minus the Voyager class figures which they said weren't hitting yet) and some pretty good Star Wars figures (vintage Death Squad Commander, Expanded Universe and vintage-style Clone Wars). They also had several pegs of decent 30th Anniversary G.I. Joes (Airtight, Lifeline, SciFi and a horde of Zombie-Vipers, amongst others). They also had tons of Marvel stuff and everything else. My only real tip is to also check the very back wall behind the musical instruments. For some reason they have a lot of the adult collectibles back there instead of on the main action figure aisles (like Prometheus, Mego-style monsters, video game-based figures like Mortal Kombat, etc.)

AND! They had two of the Masterpiece Optimus Prime's!

The new Ollie's is also open on Capital Blvd! They had a ton of stuff too, but really just more of what the Cary Ollie's has had all this time. (But they did have a ton of the Young Justice Superboy clone chamber box set which I haven't seen yet.)

Ollies and TRU in NRaleigh!! life has returned to us!

Hey, is the Toy Show next week-end the BIG one in GSO(Greensboro)?

mj3141x 10-27-2012 12:40 PM

I was at the TRU in Cary today and it looks like they restocked overnight. They had the Voyager class "Asia exclusive" Transformers out (Hot Spot, Megatron and Powerdive) and a lot more Star Wars figures out for the buy-one-get-one-free promotion. They also had a big Lego event going on with a free Monster Fighters giveaway pack.

As far as I know the Greensboro show is the third weekend in November (the 17th and 18th). Not sure what's going on next weekend unless maybe you're talking about the Hickory show. That's October 27.

I stopped by TRU today. I managed to finally get the Star Wars Mandalorian Transport, which was packed with a Jedi Starfighter. Unfortunately the EU Vintage figs and GI Joe Zombie Vipers were cleaned out. I also forgot to check out the adult-figures in the back, which is a shame as I would have loved to take a look at the Prometheus guys. I'll have to remember to look when I go back next week. (it's weird saying that, but it will be nice to be able to hit TRU weekly)

Yeah, my bad. That's how fast this month has blown by :) I was going off of dates from a postcard I had from the Raleigh show, but I just found out last night that yes, apparently they've moved the Greensboro show up to this weekend.

pacozord 10-29-2012 07:01 AM

I think the Greensboro toy show was moved to this weekend as Durham's NC Comicon is on Nov. 17-18. Wish I could make it to the toy show this weekend!

Thanks for all of the info! I saw some Masterpiece Optimus Primes in Concord Mills TRU this weekend, and some other Generations figures there and at Greensboro TRU. G'boro also had the Legion Motorbreath (Nemesis Prime) & Thundercracker Generations figures.

pacozord 10-30-2012 07:05 AM

Found the Beast / Kraven / BetaRayBill Marvel Universe wave at Target at Southpoint!

nccollector 11-01-2012 10:35 AM

Went up to TRU in Cary and found a Dark Knight Rises Ra’s Al Ghul figure on the pegs. I broke down and got the John Blake fig off EBay and was thinking about get this one too. Glad I kept putting it off, checked the prices and got this for about a 1/3 of what it’s going for on EBay.

nccollector 11-04-2012 05:30 AM

Went by the new TRU at Triangle Town Center. WOW, it was the Grand Opening, crowded like Christmas. Didn't spot anything out of the ordinary. Did stop by the Walmart at Brier Creek and picked up the diecast Hornet by JADA from Halo.

c2close 11-04-2012 08:16 PM

TMNT Classics On TRU Cary.

pacozord 11-05-2012 08:40 PM

TRU in Durham has 2 MP Optimus Prime, in the endcap.

pacozord 11-07-2012 01:06 PM

Walmart at Brier Creek has one Dreadwing Voyager. Whew! $22 for a Voyager class is still a bit steep.

Anyone go to the Greensboro toy show last weekend? Any finds?
