Thanks pilk, that means a lot coming from you! I got a good deal on that bossfight blank, it was like $13 shipped. I do wish they would get their costs down, but they really are amazing and come with 3 heads and 2 pairs of hands.

I hope to see several HYDRA army pics... c'mon guys, don't a brother down! ;) Everyone has at least one and a camera...so hook it up.

Bmorr- side by side they look the same to me. Sure when it is a picture and all blown up you can tell, but I think they are the same. Also, pretty sure the Fin Fang Foom prices are rising. Been watching and more people are keen on them. Soon they'll be gone, and back to $300+ and you will wish that you got one for $150 or less.... just saying.

Kerns- looks cool! A bit "abby" with her six or even eight pack, I know that isn't you, just pointing it out. Looks great!!!! You know you can print perfect "stripes" and apply them as decals for anyone else thinking of doing her. I also saw someone take a cheap small tiger (like a dollar store or Papo type) and cut off its tail and insert that into the "hole" that the H.A.C.K.S. come with. But I like yours a lot! #PipeCleaners And your Sable...killed it. My son has that female figure from that cheap Chap Mei military line. You are becoming a champion customizer before our eyes. We're proud and they look GREAT!

Forgive my ignorance UKMU, What does "Abby" mean? Pipe cleaners ha ha, although I am know amongst the ladies for laying pipe :D. that is just some orange bendy thing from one of my kids arts and crafts supplies. Those blanks have a ton of little details, I'm not gonna lie I had a lot of trouble painting tigra. Silver sable was a breath of fresh air to make after making tigra. I appreciate the kind words, especially from someone with your skill level!
Customizing is a crapload of fun but it can be expensive, time consuming and challenging. I have to channel my inner bob Ross and tell myself there are no mistakes, only happy accidents :) it's super hard for me, I have shaky hands like dr strange unfortunately, always have.

Great customs everyone. Really some stellar work on here lately.

Just want to clear this up:

She has a lot of abdomen muscle.

I believe they were originally used to clean smoking pipes before they became craft supplies.

Just some random pics.

Hey, you know that shield that Tornado Blade Iron man from the Avengers Assemble line has? I actually found some uses for it. If you're using a 2013 Cap shield on a figure without a gloved wrist, swap the clips(gonna require some heating on the Cap shield), and the grip is a lot more solid. I also unscrewed that Iron Man shield and combined it with some twistie ties and a Mandarin sword for a Doctor Strange effect(obviously movie inspired).

Also, I may seem ignorant here, but what's with the dog in the Iron Man display?

Too muscular abdominal muscles. Abs.... abby. Sorry, I tend to make shit up as I go and assume others understand my madness. That said, for some reason, a few certain colours of the H.A.C.K.S. female blanks look really ripped. Others not so much. It isn't a variation in body style but the just the way light bounces off it I guess. Anyway... wish we could easily get them here. It is like $23 shipping for figure. Or try to snag on from a local website that NEVER restock or buy only Brown and Beige females.

Edit: cool idea MUFAN...always nice to something done with these weird gimmicky pack ins Hasbro is so fond of.

For the win!!!!!

Dropping knowledge and throwing down amazing pics!!!! I think Iron Man Armoury counts for this weekend's army pic challenge!

Well done.

Ha. No significance. Just forgot I put him there before I took the picture.

It's the Professor X/ ROC Destro painted. All three are the same body.

This is awesome. This character is always overlooked from New Mutants #98. Always loved top-knots and immortals.

KjK 01-15-2017 09:44 AM

We had a little sun this weekend in Southern California, so I took this last year's figures outside to take some pics. There was recent talk of what the best release was in 2016. I wanted to get them all together to decide. I left out Antman and House of M Spider-man, because they had nothing new about them. There was some great character selection this year, though short on X-Men and villains. The articulation issues drive me crazy. 3 more points(waist and wrists) would make all these figures awesome. Because of that, the best figure from this year (for me) is Jane Foster Thor. Excelent sculpt on the new parts plus more than enough articulation. Anyways here's the MU class of 2016:

Same here. Deadpool is great and all, but I was always more of a fan of Gideon. Need to make a Crule next.

Mordiganne 01-15-2017 11:31 AM

Hey folks. Been an age since I've been on.

On a personal note, I won't go into all the dirty details but had a car accident on election day due to this ass running a stop sign that totaled my car and started a spiral of events that I'm still dealing with. Been a fun holiday season... /s. Hoping 2017 goes better.

Anyway, lots of great stuff has been posted. Some amazing pics and customs. You guys keep me on my toes with the customizing game! I'll post my last customs of 2016 later.

While making my Kree military I had the exact same thought. 3 points of articulation would resolve a lot of issues. The thigh and calf artic is good but also largely unnecessary.

They made a decent amount of figures in 2016. Not all were very good, but they made a good chunk of characters.

LordMudd 01-15-2017 11:53 AM

Are there any differences between the Gamora figures?

CCC.

Just slight color differences.

I had some issues with the deluxe movie figure's scale. At 4.5 inches, Sam Wilson Cap is too tall, unless he's 6'9".

Nice shots! It's nice to see all of the figures together at once. Unfortunately, I only actually saw a small fraction of these at actual retail.
