Maybe clear mineral oil could work. I know it's popular for submerged computer rigs because it's non-conductive and non-acidic. Distilled water is cheaper and easier to get your hands on.

Been researching. Mineral oil is perfect in every way except it'll eventually go rancid, and frankly, that would be the time I'd knock the thing over.

A friend recommended distilled water with a splash of radiator inhibitor oil, so I'm gonna see if there's any downside to that online...

maybe, but just the thought of the mess/sticky factor makes my ocd goes off the charts.

Mineral oil will eventually dissolve the plastic, and certainly strip the paint. Syrup will crystalize if there isn't a seal. Your best bet is water for sure. Make sure whatever you use is totally non acidic... Maybe some of that play goop, I don't know what to call it, gak I think? Or the ninja turtle ooze.

My good buddy Billie Dee Williams says there nothing better for an aliens display than an icy cold colt 45 malt liquor

Thank you. This weeks haul continues my obsession with collecting multiples of latest X-men Legends or I simple forgot how many I pre-ordered, lol. On the high side I'm up to 5 Wolverines w/ 4 Rogues and 4 Deadpools. Maybe these figures are my "Catcher in the Rye". Was stoked to catch the Punisher finally though. Got so many custom ideas for these, I gotta go back and pick up some more. Bummed we never saw Namor in my area, maybe they will show up later.

This came in the mail today !! I believe i've had this preordered since the end of last year.

Iceman 09-17-2016 08:59 AM

Picked one of these up a couple a weeks ago and they were $7. Found some more and when I scanned them they came out at $3 so I grabbed them all. That Walmart must have really wanted to get rid of these things.

The Walmart near me that I usually go to doesn't seem in a hurry to dump them.

Was really on the fence about this set but the TRU sale pushed me over and convinced me to cave. Glad too, pretty nice set.

How were the cannons on yours? The Poe one I bought was all messed up. Hasbro has me ship them back to them and they said they've shipped me replacements but I haven't gotten them yet.

Picked up most of this on the cheap. Since all of these Toybiz ones are larger characters, I got them hoping they would scale well with my 3.75/4" stuff.

While I had run into the Tommy a couple of times, I was starting to kick myself for having passed out Jason the one time I ran into him. Then finally after weeks of hunting, I ran into him again today. Not passing him up a second time...:)

They do. Extremely well I might add. Strong Guy has been my placeholder for X-Factor since MU Havoc came out. And Marvel Infinite Deathlok is about the same size as the original Toy Biz one. Really should do a side by side picture of those two. It's hilarious.

If you can find it for cheap still, I'd suggest trying to get the Toy Biz Brood too. It's a little shiny cartoony style, but it scales really well and adds some size variation to any Brood horde.

Sugarman, Holocaust(Ninja Force Nemesis), AOA Apocalypse, Onslaught, Ozymandias with Apocalypse, and a whole host of others from toy biz are also really great with the scale too. Almost all the bigger characters are perfect.

Really recommend the AOA Apocalypse if you're planning on getting AOA Magneto later too. They'd look pretty decent together in a collection or dio.

Street dates be damned, lol, a local Kroger already had the new Rogue One 3 3/4" figures on the pegs, despite the September 30th release date.
I passed on the Rogue One characters (because I'm sure they'll be EVERYWHERE for months and months), along with the couple of other Rebels characters added to the Rogue One waves (s), but I was ecstatic to find the new, un-helmeted Sabine!

Also, I was thrilled to have found the Pops of Davros and the War Doctor so quickly, while shopping on Friday.

Street dates need not apply. Found the new Star Wars Rogue One Black Series 6 inch K-Mart Exclusive Sergeant Jyn Erso (EADU).

A friend called me and said he saw this on the shelf and I ran to my local K-Mart on my lunch break and there she was. 4 of her on the shelf next to a fresh case of Rey (Starkiller Base). I am guessing the tube she is carrying might be the Death Star plans.

Jyn was waiting for me when Kmart opened today. The Halo 5 figs were on clearance at Walgreen's and they had exactly what Falcon was missing, guns! Supergirl was a bonus as well from Walgreen's and Deadpool was a score from Target hidden behind stuff...

My haul for September so far. Most I spent and the luckiest month for action figure hunting. It's a damn good month for me.
