How do we know that? The guy on the other site says "his friend said" I can say my friend said the sky is falling, doesn't mean I'm wearing a helmet to get my mail

SH0CKWAVE 06-24-2012 03:13 PM

I've been collecting MU since 2009 and every year its the same tired @ss internet topic "Is MU coming to an end?"

It's the most annoying thing to read on these boards. Think of something else to talk about... and if you can't think of anything, refrain from posting.

Sadly the Concept drone was nowhere to be found, But I did snag the best War Machine hands down light up chest and all.
The rest of the wave was available but I only grabbed Inferno Armor (Clear) and Artillery Armor War Machine.

Inferno and Artillery Armors are up for trade.

Maybe I've got a shot at Sonic Storm IM now!

I can try back again tomorrow after work. I had it in my hand and thought "meh, I dont think anyone will want this" LoL!

StarWarsPaul 06-24-2012 03:21 PM

It's cool. Not my intention to bring down the thread.

Just don't want people to freak out when theres no "new" MU as we currently know it at SDCC.

I'd do as Martin from Cool Toy suggests and if you want to see this line survive, let Hasbro know.

And to think I skipped Marshall's yesterday. Nice find!

Been down this road before and on this site if I'm not mistaken.

It's important to know who your info is coming from and who their sources are.

The examples you cite above are night and day and honestly not even close to being a good analogy.

State your source

Robogeek28 06-24-2012 03:34 PM

So wait, the sky is falling on the MU line again?

That was quick, wasn't the last time only a couple months ago?

Veronica Mars 06-24-2012 03:36 PM

I know right?

IF that day comes,.. I'll be upset for a minute, then move on. Until I hear official word that it's cancelled, though; I'm going to assume it's alive and well.

No offense to you, or anyone else who might have good info, but I'm too excited about the two handfuls of new figs that are on their way to stores this summer to be worried about something that no one knows the answer to right now.

Tarooster 06-24-2012 03:37 PM

If Sdcc comes and they announce nothing, maybe then we could at least speculate. At this point it's all heresay.

Even then, with the movie lines being so in focus, there is a lot of MU stuff that has yet to be released so if we only see minimum stuff at SDCC that doesn't mean there's a problem necessarily, it means Hasbro doesn't want to get ahead of themselves

The long and the short of it is Ms. Senator, you don't disclose your sources if you want to keep receiving the information you receive. Even if you've never heard of journalism, that's a concept that should make sense to everyone.

Here's a link to the last time I had to defend myself on the Ark, enjoy the read:

In this specific case, regarding the future of the MU line as of 6/24/12, two highly regarded Internet journalists have confirmed via their source(s) as well as my own independent confirmation via my own Hasbro source can confirm that MU as we know it, or as we are used to know it will not be the same in '13, if it even exists at all. The future is not bright.

If you want your voices heard let Hasbro know....

Damn... that's so awesome. And you didn't even use any stands either. I just opened up all my MU (except for 2) and am trying to make my X-men setup too... but I am kinda intimidated by your pic now. Haha.

EDIT: Ooo... just noticed no Psylocke. LOL.

Maverick 06-24-2012 03:43 PM

T.X maxx has the new iron man too picked up storm surge, war machine and the drone yesterday. Finally found a 6 inch red arrow too so i was quite happy.

lol and what do we see showing up now! the new wave, an xfactor 6pack that one knew about and hasbro didnt even mention it. like i said earlier hasbro always has a trick up there sleves for us mu collectors. to cancel the line theyd make it public. and it hasnt it happend yet.

StarWarsPaul 06-24-2012 03:46 PM

All I'm trying to do is bring information to the forefront of like minded individuals.

You can try to do something about it now, or go back under your rocks, the choice is yours.

But if it's something you're passionate about, now is your chance to do something about it.

Yeah, the new wave that we've only known about for over a year.

Any other year, we'd have had an idea about what was happening beyond the currently slated Wave 21.

Oh yeah and a nice box of repacks is reason to keep the candle burning that all is well...

First off I don't appreciate the attitude bud. Secondly I'm tired of all the BS flying around about things being canceled without facts to back it up. Nebulous nameless "sources"? We can all have those. I could say I know someone or know someone who knows someone, doesn't make it true. Unless and until there's an official announcement from someone who actually works for the company, it's all just alarmist speculation and rumor mongering

Let your voices be heard.

SH0CKWAVE 06-24-2012 03:57 PM

if Hasbro is not making sufficient capital profit from the MU project, then it may very well be the end. maybe licensing is gouging every penny. who knows. the massive success of the Avengers movie may very well be the new direction. we've heard in reports before that the Avengers movie is only one in a long list of Marvel movies on the horizon. its been masterfully planned out for some time. now its unfolding. maybe MU will become a collector-centric line (as it has been) and the focus will be on the movie lines.

my two cents of speculation.

Forgive me but you came after me with the attitude first.

If you want to be blind to the realities about how information works and how it's shared, that's fine. You keep making the same baseless argument without paying attention.

Forgive me for making an effort here.
