That dinosaur does look great J. I have been kicking Groot ideas about for ages. Loved the super Tom, really like the Young Patriot version. Got this one kind of on a whim after stumbling on a deal and haggling with the seller.

I thought the neck too K. Could really help out the overall look. Got the StarLord Groot combo from a cat in Indiana as well. Made me think of you. I am seeing that toy guy this weekend about your Rick Grimes by the way. I will let you know by Sunday.

I am going to the post office again tomorrow to pick up your head Jedi. Have went three times and they were closed each time. Have it timed this go though.

People are always going on about the mods here and "staying in topic" but in 2 years time and 2000 plus posts I have never seen them say anything. Not even close. Fuck all in fact. Also, I got kicked off Facebook for using a false name. Arre Tist was me. As in artist,so I may have to start a MySpace page! ;) as long as we don't kill anyone I am pretty sure we are fine here in our little corner of the ark. To quote David Walliams, " what makes Britain great is it is the greatest country in all Britain."

Hope your package arrives tomorrow Pilk. I so want to see what the Doom army looks like with 8 bots, K Dubs main Doom from his awesome diorama and the two new Terminator Dooms from TLD. Gonna be pretty epic!! Might not be the biggest Doom army but it has to have the most high profile figures in it! Also most have travel several thousand miles altogether. Lot of love in that lot of evil.

My Space is so 90's didnt even know it was sill going, talking of social media is anyone on Twitter i use it a lot, would be good to follow you guys and vice-versa

ukmu 07-31-2015 05:23 AM

I thought MySpace was fun. It was like your own website. No two peoples page was the same and you could have music and such.

I am on Twitter, but rarely use it

@ArtWasMyWeapon

Also Law, do you want that helicarrier this weekend? I can bring it to Halifax if so....

There is no escape.... Welcome back, if I knew you were coming I'd have baked a cake!

TheLongestDay 07-31-2015 01:38 PM

I just passed up a LEGENDS movie Ant-Man and Giant-Man...just couldnt justify the £23 price tag on each...I have a horrible feeling Im gonna regret my decision though :/

Madame Warlock 07-31-2015 04:05 PM

MU more or less doesn't exist in Ireland, save for some overpriced figures I found in World of Wonder(17 euro each I think, 35 for MLs in one shop!). A few used to turn up in Tescos a few years back but not anymore.

Hi Madame warlock welcome to the ark.what part of ireland?MU and MI have arrived in my area on a steady basis, usually a month or 2 after US release, and on the rare occasion BEFORE they hit shelves in america(red she hulk wave)

ukmu 07-31-2015 08:37 PM

There European distribution has improved greatly. Maybe Jackie can help you out Madame Warlock.... He is good guy and has a great reputation in the community all over the internets.

That Red She Hulk wave landed here too before there. I believe there was a longshoreman strike in LA and all the goods sat in docks for a month which I turn pushed everything back like three months.

ukmu 08-01-2015 12:42 AM

Everywhere I go, I keep seeing Beast and Dark Beast. Two different Sainsbury's, two different ASDA's, a couple of small toy shops and even saw one in a charity shop yesterday!!!! Kinda blew me away seeing it there. Almost grabbed it for the sake of grabbing it, then thought some kid should get him so maybe he can appreciate Marvel figures later. So glad I got the SHS Beast last year fromTLD. I thought that figure would have sold well. All the chinabay sellers have him for a fiver as well.

asia got the red she hulk wave first....phillipines,japan,australia then northern europe.
as far as im aware the strike held up distribution on certain Legends figures,ML collectors were up in arms because of it.

ukmu 08-01-2015 02:39 PM

Region 4 always gets retail first. Then usually region 1 ( n. America) then us, Australia and S. America in no particular order.

Wish I would have grabbed an Emma the other day from C-bay because now they are auctioning them one at a time and they are £25 and climbing fast!!!

Also, Korg was in Taobao but not C-bay.... Weird.

Pilkster 08-02-2015 08:22 AM

OK guys Ive started casting and its going better than I thought. failed my first attempt but my second and third went well.

So to carry on with my testing Id rather make the casts of the heads that people would want more so any suggestions on heads to cast first that you guys would want to buy?

ukmu 08-02-2015 08:40 AM

I need 4 Red Guardian heads for Kree soldiers on Whirlwind bucks.
Those are my first order! ;)

I have four water slide decals of the planet emblem for their chest. Not going big, just the four, a Ronan, a Supreme Intelligence and a Mar-Vell from next years 2 pack. That will do for the Kree for us.

Aye been collecting WWE figures all the time , But i'm starting to dip my toes slowly back into MU , going to be heading to DCC next week with the missus maybe ill pick up one or two do ya reckon there will be many dealers there man ?

Jackieboy 08-02-2015 12:12 PM

i could not really say,Brian.i have only ever been to one con and that was Dice about 2 years ago, didnt see many at that.if its DCC hosting it then im sure they will have a stall at it.

brianregan09 08-02-2015 01:36 PM

Off to chinabay i'll be going for alot of them then I reckon one thing that has caught me off guard is how much most of the figures held there value

TheLongestDay 08-03-2015 09:34 AM

Alright geezers!

I got my bootleg / Knock-off YELLOW JACKET today.

He's pretty much what I expected in terms of quality (not great) but given Hasbro's recent movie figure output I find him perfectly serviceable as is.

However I already had plans for this guy and was pretty happy to see my idea to use the head and "arms" on a TRON figure body works okay, although Im waiting for a CLU figure which should work a lot better with his yellow highlights.

I think the head would be good to cast for customs (I can send you this one if you want Pilkster?) but to be honest this figure and the set it came in are so cheap you may as well just use this one (if you don't mind the wait from China).

So what's going on with those arms - are they articulated in any way?

Unfortunately not, but they are attached together by a peg so can move closer together in a "scissor" fashion.
I reckon you could cut them and glue some joints in there with little problem though.
