good luck with that. I imagine this would be a trading site for collectors and customizers. Less discussion as to new merchandise. But maybe news on future lines that may fit. But it would suck ass if marvel universe got canned. I cant understand why the marvel universe is so successful in comics, tv, movies, and merchandise, but can't make an action figure line.

What's with that? They have a winning product, but they screw it up somehow. They spread themselves thin, over-saturate the market with fluff, while they cut corners on the better line, they don't promote, and distribution is a joke. Marvel universe is an amazing line. It deserves more time and exploration. i would do a subscription. but it would have to be reasonable.

This better be hype before they rock our worlds at sdcc. But imagine how much money i would save if it were true.

seconded!

I told him to state his source on page 1105 so either near top of that page or earlier, I don't think he started the original topic, just backed it up

there is no declaration of such a travesty. its all speculation and doomsday prognostications.

crazy thing is... it just might happen.

then whats all the uproar about?

bitman2 06-24-2012 07:45 PM

Whats up with MU

David Vonner was let go by Hasbro. MU was pretty much his baby and maybe the writing was on the wall then.(Speculation)

2.MU has been pretty much treated like a ugly step child so far this year.(very little new product hitting the shelves so far this year.) FACT We have been promised much but what has actually been delivered?? The argument that Hasbro wanted to wait for the Avengers to run its course is a little lame to me. If MU was high on their list of priorities and a cash cow they wouldn't put it into hibernation for 7 months.

The Beta Ray Bill wave has had preorders BUT the newest wave that hit the Phillppines does not match the Case assortment preordered. WHY?? Hasbro choosing to consolidate several waves in 1 OR some kind of Revision wave OR again stuff being released by the factory in an effort to get Hasbro to pay for already produced lines(pure speculation)
3.The SDCC Exclusives ARE pretty much a sure thing.
4. Several "credible" sources have Cited the lines impending scale back or demise
So it seems AT THE MOMENT the signs may not look too rosy for MU but until NO NEW figures are produced the line is STILL ALIVE .

IT woulnd't hurt to let Hasbro know how you feel about the Line though, Maybe someone in the know can provide a contact # or email addy?? And maybe we should start thinking about a petition to save our M.U. If not at mass retail then maybe something like Hasbro MU collectors.com.

page 1111 lol like the crazy movie 11 11. lol or when you just glance at the time and its somehow always 11:11.

on topic, i looking foward for july 1 to see if that new 6pack is gonna be on the shelfs at toysrus. gotta swoop on that for sure. hopefully the new figures are released on the same day aswell, thatll be awesome!!!

Ninjinister 06-24-2012 07:48 PM

Wait, did somebody say that the movie lines sell better than MU? How is that possible when those fuckers never leave the shelves?

Here's a link to the last time I had to defend myself on the Ark, enjoy the read:
http://www.toyark.com/marvel-univers...e3/#post295405

In this specific case, regarding the future of the MU line as of 6/24/12, two highly regarded Internet journalists have confirmed via their source(s) as well as my own independent confirmation via my own Hasbro source can confirm that MU as we know it, or as we are used to know it will not be the same in '13, if it even exists at all. The future is not bright.

If you want your voices heard let Hasbro know....

if you cant back up what you are saying with proof of a credible source then this is just another rumor, why even bring up the subject if its so hush hush?

i have always maintained that these very same forums we frequent are visited by Hasbro reps incognito. the same goes for other toy lines and their respective threads.

our APPRECIATION thread alone is an example of the fanbase already in tact, and growing. dont kid yourselves into thinking that our thoughts are not being read.

our thoughts are being PUBLISHED.

I'd buy a turdload of MU direct from Hasbro's site just to show them how much I like it... if only they had a respectable selection :/

Never understood how they could not have a better selection than any other site of their own product

bitman2 06-24-2012 08:24 PM

Can someone ask Mr Vonner what he thinks of the future of MU?( I am wondering if he may be one of the "sources" I know he no longer works for Hasbro but I would be willing to wager he has a pretty good idea of where the line is heading.

The only thing I want on there right now (Patch/SilSam for customs) is like $5 more than I can get it in a store for :/

It used to be pretty good once upon a time! A couple of years ago I bought something like 12-15 figs at one time!

bitman2 06-24-2012 08:25 PM

If Hasbo Toy shop would fully stock their own website they would make a KILLINg.
