:D

I'd say get the Select Abomination as it is easier to find, bigger and has a nicer overall sculpt

While I appreciate this line and all I would like to appreciate the folks who posted pics of the head swap of the movie hulk for the 4 pack hulk. Thanks so much it looks good

Which they do this often enough in MU anyway.
Astonishing Wolverine? XMO:W mold.
Comic Pack Crossbones? First Avenger mold.
Comic Pack Gambit? XMO mold, new head and scarf.
Comic Pack Deadpool? XMO:W mold new harness.
Those are just 4 off the top of my head.

Hasbro intermingles the lines where it's feasible and makes sense. So "In name only" is all that matters.

Change the name all they want if mold is from another line doesn't change the fact it was created from another line when you gave the above examples you knew where their from when see an mu mold you know it's mu all I'm saying is if it ain't an true mu mold its not mu I can call shit roses but that don't make it so

The rest of the wave was available but I only grabbed Inferno Armor (Clear) and Artillery Armor War Machine.

Inferno and Artillery Armors are up for trade.

I found mine at the only TJ Maxx in town! SO thrilled to almost be complete on this one. Just need #42 (42. Mark V Iron Man (Movie)) and I'm golden!

I'd do as Martin from Cool Toy suggests and if you want to see this line survive, let Hasbro know.

I did! I will at the Hasbro booth as well. I firmly believe in complementing someone when you enjoy their work, no matter what they do. The custodian at work gets high praise from me.

Lol. I'm glad it's still active. For a couple pages there, I was thinking, shit, this thing's going to end soon.

I've been thinking a lot about that. Say the line ended tomorrow, I'd be more inclined to say that the prices will GO DOWN over time. Look at all the past ended lines. No one wants those things anymore because it isn't active. Most people won't wait 10 years for it to come back like Legends seemed to do for a second...

I can't say for sure, but I might jump ship if there's official news of it sinking...

I can see what you're saying, but I've heard from Toy Managers at several Walmarts that the Avengers Movie alone has pulled their entire section out of the toilet.

I don't know about the end. I believe Star Wars Paul. Too many people I respect respect his info. I hope it's not true, but I'll do some extra butt-kissing to help out anyway.

In the meantime, I have army builders! Anyone need some South Carolina AIM Soldiers and Red Ninjas?

I even have an Avengers Skrull left...

Something about this doesn't look like Magneto...

And Luke fell on hard times when he realized his beanie and tank don't match... I think that's cocaine on his face.

it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Hasbro decided to cancel the MU line, everything else has been going to shit this year anyways.

Hasbro has already been fucking GiJoe fans up the butt for many years. first they cancel the awesome 25th line for shitty ROC toys. Then they bring out some awesome POC/30th figures, but barely release them before canceling them for shitty Retaliation toys. Then they tank Retaliation toys altogether for a year with nothing to fill the void.

Hasbro promised to roll out some new Marvel Legends. But they ultimately turned out to kind of suck and be unavailable at retail.

As far as MU, they fired Vonner and revealed some shitty Avengers and Spiderman movie figures. Then they postpone MU figures for 7 months.

And even the totally badass Avengers cartoon is getting dropped while a totally shitty Spiderman cartoon is given a second season.

What the fuck is going on this year? Last year everything was badass and the future looked better than ever. Everything was supposed to be so much better this year. We had the promise of new Joes, new Marvel Legends, an awesome assortment of MU figures, high hopes for possibly cool Spidey and Avengers movie figures, and an Avengers cartoon that was better than any Marvel media title ever.

then everything sucked donkey balls all of a sudden. Well, at least the Avengers movie was good.

If it's in MU, it's MU. No matter where it was originally from.
That's kind of the whole point behind the movie-line comic series, so they can do stuff like that.

Is IM2 nick fury not an IM2 figure since he uses a GI Joe buck with a new head?

MU is diverse with body types. Some better than others. Look at the first ironman and black panther figures, then the human torch, and now commander rogers and crossbones. They all use the same articulation types, just differently intermingled for best effects. So if it's under the MU banner, it's still MU. Now whether or not you like the figures is another matter, but taste doesn't determine what they are or aren't.

Like the upcoming Ironman Mandarin pack. That's pure MU even though it uses IM2 molds. Just like Transformers figures that may get slotted into different lines from where they once were. That paint scheme for that transformer is still unique to that line even if the mold was created for a different one. The same applies to MU.

I agree with some of that, but considering I'm still looking for several decently priced Scarlet figure from ROC. I wouldn't call that line crap personally. Ditto to some of the retaliation figures (though yes some are less than desired, others are awesome).

As for Ultimate Spider-man, it's doing too strong ratings-wise, so of course it was renewed. Avengers has been waivering in the ratings, and a lot of that has to do with the fact the majority of the audience now turns to online piracy for it. It has a steady audience, but I can't help wonder if maybe the 'fury files' after the show and the marvel mashup after avengers are what's hurting avengers. Plus the ungodly long commercial breaks are a pain in the butt. Makes me glad I dvr both.

It's kind of funny in a way though watching the fan reactions. EMH had a vocally outspoken against it fanbase always comparing it to Young Justice. Now it's going to do something more in line towards young justice with fluidity with better designs, and people are complaining that emh is going away for this instead.

DogFashionDisco 06-24-2012 10:56 PM

People are in an uproar, and the Walmarts and Targets of America are trembling at the idea of not seeing the business of all the adults lurking in their toy aisles trying to buy stuff that probably doesn't effect their bottom line at all. Our hobby is not the center of the universe, and when stores end up with a pile of figures that no one wants, no one wins. All good things must come to an end, but you folks are definitely assuming the worst.

Levity people, calm down.

I agree except for the piracy part another factor is the change in time slot I know a lot of people only watched dxd for this who didn't know the show had moved and never known of a second season and thought it had it been cancelled then putting it on hiatus for weeks also the same can be said for thundercats there is rumors it may not be back for a 3rd season

zim 06-24-2012 11:03 PM

don't get mad but could we dial down the profanity a bit. The admins just warned that if they saw this again they would get rid of this thread. I just joined this awesome community and don't want to see it go away, which is the only reason i am speaking out about it. I understand the passion, fervor and frustration.

Maybe we could start a thread to save the MU line. In addition, other sites should do the same. Once Hasbro sees the love of the MU line than maybe they will think otherwise to cancel it. I don't post much as I have roamed more then post here and on the Hiss but I know SWP has been a legit source. If the line ends, so be it. I've enjoyed it and thank Hasbro for bringing the line to us consumers. But I hope it doesn't end but if it does, I'll just stick with collecting Transformers. :)

Scythe 06-24-2012 11:19 PM

I don't wanna be this guy and such, but we should voice our opinion of MU possibly going away with signs of support and the urge to pursue it further. I haven't seen it that much here in Toyark, but in some places you have peeps saying stuff like:

"Eff, Hasbro, it's now Hasblow, they hate us."

"Oh well, they can go suck [male reproductive organ that at the average size is still eclipsed by Scythe's] all night long"

"They can go to Effing, H-E-double hockey-sticks (New Jersey?)!"

"Them over at Hasblow are gay!!!1111matrix!!!!x9,000"

Especially that last one, that's a no-no, we can be adults about a kid's line. So far, Toyark has been pretty good, but I'm just sayin' and I hope you peeps agree.

If MU ends as year-long wave-based retailer line, I hope they they figure out some way to sell online waves to collectors since most of us are fine buying that way.

Oi! I think you are on to something. The MU line is not really going to die, it'll probably be blended in to the movie lines because we do get the "comic series" sometimes when movie toys are released. Right?
