Just my opinion but DCIH gave us the best figures in the line right before it died and these are not the best Hasbro can do, so I wouldn't worry just yet.

I will collect this line till I die damn it! No cowards, NO DESERTERS! I'm too far in, been here sense the beginning, damn it I'll be here at the end. When I have them all, and that will be soon, I'll start a second MIP collection. And when the line goes the way of the GI joe, and I only get 3-5 obscure con exclusives a year, well, I'll buy them, and be damn happy for it! And if, at the end, I look around and no one else even remembers there was a MU, MI, ML375 I will quietly retreat to my vault, and play with my toys while the world burns.
Seriously, 375 gets its grill kicked in every decade or so, but it always bounces back. Remember boys and girls, we died at toybiz, came back, got burnt down, came back, all be it weaker, only to survive another rebrand, with a big FU stamped on it in the form of shit quality. But if you hang in all I can promise you is you'll be miles ahead of the game when the worm turns, 6"burns out, and some jackass at hasbro says in the board room " hey, what if we make a well articulated joe scale marvel line to supplement the losses on the 6" peg...now turning to isle, warmers. |

Amen, and don't worry I've long stopped rationalizing why I have three loose ghost riders, or an army of Aries... I just do.
By the way net, I'm sending those off tomorrow, had a rough week. Seriously though, I do really love this line, or MU to be exact, I was in the air force, got hurt, got put on pain killers, didn't get "hooked", but comping off them really sucked, I was looking for something to focus on outside of work, besides trivial things like friends and family. I picked up one of the 25th gi joes to take a wack at making a wolverine custom, I hadn't bought a toy in probably 5-7 years, is look time to time, but nothing seemed worth getting into, anyway like a week later I walk into the BX and bam, the whole first wave of XMO Bought them, and doubles to open. And honestly the first two years every wave was better than the last. I think we peaked around Jim lee Cyclopes and daredevil V3, even if you feel burned out, try putting together a full collection, you could spend years trying to find every variant, or finding new variants. If the line ended tomorrow, it's been a great ride, plus it'll just drive more business to people like Pilk, or maybe it'll leave the 3.75 rights to funko, I'd dig a set of funko style marvel figs, or 84secret wars style. |

I love my MU to death... but I opened my ML Iceman, Rogue and comic Scarlett Witch... and man... I am starting to waver. LOL. That ML Rogue figure is the best action figure I have ever played with.

What in the World is this new 6" line showing up?
Why does Hasbro insist on cluttering the shelves so badly. |

I'm with you sir. I've always loved toys an through the out my had some sort or college toon or mini collection or another. Years ago I had EVERY Jakks WWE classic superstars. Except the 1/5 warrior. Any way those things got me into customising and had to sell the lot to get a place to live when I got divorced. It's a huge regret in my life and never really collected anything to a completion state again until I saw the MU figures. It played around in my head for a long time deciding to commit and final bought a Doctor Doom figure. When I opened it I was hooked! I took the plunge and started buying seriously when the prof x wave hit. Very late in to the series but I was obsessed and by 3 months had a pretty impressive collection. I think I've had almost every MU figure real estate at 1 point but decided on getting the best version of every character. (Something I might go back to and get every figure) If the line did stop tomorrow ( which I pray it doesnt) I will still be making every character I need to complete my collection and help anyone else complete theirs. I genuinely think the line will come back to its former glory and think the lack of movie figs is a marketing strategy by not over saturation of the market listing ke the ironman 2 line. Once infinity war hits theatres then we will see more movie figures. As for MU the quality is creeping back I'm sure we will get re-release of characters on better molds etc like we did in previous years eg cyclops and daredevil. Ahain it's a great marketing strategy for us to buy more and more figures. I appologise for my little rant. I don't usually get into all the personal/political conversation but I'm very passionate about this line and this scale and enjoy meeting and chatting to people alike. I've met a few guys that collect and speak to them everyday about their collections and about their lives and the storage thing is most of these guys will say the same. We speak more and know more about each other than are local friends and family. We are a community and in this community I see a great set of people that always go out their way to help every other collector out there. |
Ky.... you had me at hello.
MUfan.... your word are good and your memes are old Jinx.... filth, simple filth. UBER&Pilk.... well said When the line dips and a wave of stuff you're not particularly into, I find it a good time to army build. Also, we all can always use new or more stands. DIO pieces, acid free storage bags, customs even. Pretty sure no one is set on flight stands? Point being, there is always something to go along with your collection. Time and money can go towards preserving, enhancing, displaying or highlighting your collection. I, like many of you have said before, never understood the "I don't like the new ones, I must sell the old ones" mindset. I recently got into a Iron Man Armoury, love it!!! Also been on a Spidey villains kick. Even scored a Daily Bugle playset last night for the cost of a pizza at Domino's. There are still many other areas I avoided because I was into army building. Had to pick and choose...buy a cool NEW figure or spend three to four times as much on a figure I have thirty of already. Easy choice there! ;) I think, and this is JUST a theory... I think we as collectors enjoy the hunting and gathering aspect MORE than the enjoying the fruits of our labours aspect. Once the "thrill or buzz" of the hunt is gone, we feel empty. I mean I didn't NOT pay this month's mortgage for NO reason. I love the line too. Besides, if HASBRO was awesome to us, we would have no one to complain about on TA and would have to spend time with our families..... bless you Hasbro. Bless you indeed. |

I customize way more than I actively collect and that's not going to change. I've wanted Marvel superhero figures in this scale ever since I was a wee lad and what I can't buy I'll make - and what I make I enjoy way more than just buying something any day of the week. I haven't even bought half of 2016's product and honestly don't have any urgent need to get what I haven't picked up yet, though I'll pick it up the rest of what I want eventually. Speaking of collections...time for some collection pics! Well, custom pics anyway. :D |
2016 customs & pick ups minus a few that are on another shelf or in the storage boxes. 2017's items will go on the shelves next to this until I get my custom made shelves built. Pics aren't the best. I need a new digital camera. This one is almost 10 years old now and it's no DSLR either. Hopefully soon.

I would only have 1 version of a character on display, those are in these boxes. I have a third box that I keep the overflow in: alternate costumes, multiples, etc. http://i465.photobucket.com/albums/r...pswgwkaseg.jpg http://i465.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps8vfpdqcq.jpg And a teaser pic for the first batch of 2017. Have one left to finish. http://i465.photobucket.com/albums/r...psrjvckzjx.jpg |

Seeing all of those figures inspired me to finish one that has been in the WiP pile for a while.

Movie Spidey needs a Blackwash IMO just like I gave the ASM movie one but then he'll look great. Pissed at the lack of blades on the Vulture though, also having to buy 2 Spidey 2-packs since I really want a Shocker too lol.
I'll probably pick up the GotG 2-Pack but I'd rather they give us Mantis/Nebula. |

Kind of a re-hash of a couple of old threads so apologies but been thinking about the MCU 2 packs (and hoping against hope for more reveals at next weeks Toyfair). If (and it's a big if)this is the direction Hasbro might be going in, what is on people's 'must have' list? For me I think it is the following (splitting them as we'll never get 2 packs with 2 female characters):
GOTG: Drax/Mantis Gamora/Rocket Groot/Nebula CA:CW: Vision and Scarlet Witch Dr Strange: Kaecilus and Ancient One Netflix: Daredevil and Kingpin Electra and Punisher Jessica Jones and Luke Cage Then going forward, Thor and Hela from Ragnarok, Thanos and Throne from Infinity War. Given up hope on AOS figures, so Customising is still the only way to go (still hope it gets renewed for a 5th season though). Incidentally, read on a couple of sites people saying in effect that they won't buy the Strange pack because of the Astral form or the GOTG pack because on Yondu as these are, in effect, wasted slots. I can kind of understand that mindset but if people don't buy them IMHO it sends out the wrong signal. Hasbro are giving us pretty much SA MCU figures but if they don't sell then there is no incentive for Hasbro to continue the line. Thoughts! |

Either way, they should probably just switch to sticking them into normal waves with comic figures alongside them like they do the 6 inchers. |

I don't know if somebody mentioned it already, Target is doing a $6.49 sale for 3.75" figures.
