I prefer them to be separate, I think it hurts both types of figures by mixing. I always used to see as many comic figures as movie.

It's time for the Fantastic Four to make a comeback, and it starts with that new Invisible Woman.

I prefer them separate as well. For me personally it looks too strange to mesh them.

It seems every town has these asshats that steal the parts or buy the figure and return a shit figure in its place. These guys need to swiftly get their asses kicked. My Walmarts are flooded with these the some Black series figures have been replaced with those 4inch 1990's Star Wars figures. I don't know how the Employee didn't notice that.

Most really don't care or have knowledge. I experianced the swap n stop shit a few weeks ago when i went to get a couple black series figs. Saw the shore trooper boxes in clearance area but they were some kinda janky stormtrooper lookin knock off thing.

I'm wondering about that line. Invisible Woman was a Walgreens exclusive and kind of low key. Will they release a whole line this way? Walgreens exclusive with a lone figure every several months? Seems strange.

Yep agreed.

Nitelife! you're not Iron Fist anymore! This is so jarring...

Haha. I just felt like it was time to join the empire. They have Sith Roast brand coffee. That wasn't ironfist....that was karate kid, val armor, from the legion of superheroes. :)

Welp, we could use your help over here in Normandy. I've been stuck here with a cigar in my mouth for 4 months.

Kinda weird but I totally agree.

Dr Kain 05-08-2017 10:27 PM

Frankly, she was cool in the movie, but not cool enough where I feel the need to own a figure of her, especially once that requires buying several figures I don't care about.

Btw, do you get early access to figures due to working there?

If by "Early Access", you mean, "Oh hey, I just opened this random tote while stocking shelves and Wolverine was inside" then yes lol

Well they have Human Torch releasing sometime in August IIRC, so it seems that way.

I already have like $50 in Rewards Points saved up for the two of them.

I've always wondered whether they let you set aside figures for yourself when working at a place like that.

I tried applying at Toys R Us a lot, but nothing ever came of it. My application would always disappear into the black hole of online apps.

The only time I found success applying at TRU was applying for a seasonal position for the holidays, and they did bring me on then. Outside of that (both applying for a normal position before that, and applying to get back there afterwards), no luck.

Weapon X 05-08-2017 11:31 PM

Maybe I will try that this year.

So you got hired? How was it working there?

Honestly, it was pretty great. It's where I discovered that I actually like customer service-oriented jobs, as long as it's with a type of product I'm fairly knowledgable about and that I like. I was specifically a Big Ticket employee, which means that I not only refaced the product on the shelves and interacted with customers and such, but I also was one of the few employees allowed to get cases of product from the stockroom, get the bikes from assembly, bring down big items like Power Wheels and big playsets, and put product into and take product out of the FGO cage, where things like layaways and online orders set for in-store pickup get stored.

Weapon X 05-09-2017 12:43 AM

Wow, cool. I don't do well with customer service usually. Or rather, it drains me over time due to my inverted nature and anxiety. But perhaps I too would excel if it was toys that I was working with.

Yeah, I'm also usually not remotely good with interacting with people I don't know, but for a job where I'm dealing with something I know and care about, it just becomes surprisingly easy.

Harbinger 05-09-2017 05:45 AM

I give ya credit jed.... I hate people. I could not be a good cs rep. Hell i couldnt even be a door greeter im too sour. Id be like welcome to wal mart.....get your shit n get out. ;)
