Agreed. Optimus Vader's lighting skills are impeccable.

Everyone should post pictures.

No worries Shockwave. Especially when you got a little one to look after. There will always be time for that stuff, we'll still be here.

I've been busy this weekend and was hungover all day yesterday. This thread does need a shot in the juggular.

Fixed the man cave a bit. Here are some shots of my collection and display.

This looks fantastic! It's not often we get to see shots of each other's entire man-cave, and I'm always curious how people like to go about decorating theirs. That entertainment center you have is solid.. very clean and classy looking.

And thanks for the lighting compliment!

You are right about that and I am not saying the BAFs were the sole reason, but part of it. I also think it was hard for Hasbro to do what had already been done by Toy Biz and the original concept for BAF was to make really big figures, and I really think they were running out of ideas that appeal to the casual fans and collectors.

Take me for example. I am not a die hard Marvel fan, infact I couldn't tell you a damn thing about the current BAF nor do I care to. I only care about which figures are the nicest looking in the set (I have yet to buiy any) and if it is a character I am familiar with. The older BAFs like Galactus, The Sentinal, and Apocolypse were must haves for me. Regardless of who was in those sets I had to have those BAFs. These newer ones... not really especially at $15 a wack for each figure. The only newer Hasbro BAFs that was worth while to me was Red Hulk, which all I ever got or needed was his head, and Fing Fang Foom which the stores in my area never got series 2 and I have no need for that many Hulks.

I will admit I was very dissappointed to see that they didn't even sculpt Ben Reilly's costume. Granted it was a big upgrade from Toy Biz's but still lazy.

Symbiote, you're still my hero. Always.

I realized I haven't given this shelf any appreciation love yet, so here it is, even though it's still kind of sparse.

Nice shots guys,i'll contribute soon enough, but i need some advice,i have a chance of scoring an ML antman 6" version,do you think he could make a good substitute for a giantman alongside the MU line if i remove his helmet???

Well part of it is a good chunk of the people who I know who watch avengers, the second it switched timeslots, they just opted to download it. Especially when the eps aired overseas first. Plus look at all the people who watch the pirated streams who have the channel anyway.

As for thundercats, that's just fan fear. It'll be back. The next set of 26 is being animated as we speak and getting voicework done.
CN didn't have it on the upfront because to them, the new season had already started. People are just overreacting to it. It's really only two seasons of 26, but cn has taken it and broken it into 4 seasons of 13, even though the production numbers reflect sets of 26.

MGTAJ 06-25-2012 01:48 PM

That EMH finalé makes me want to pay over the odds to get a Galactus over here to the UK; I'd also like a Heralds 4 pack, but there's probably not enough demand for it

jaybird7072 06-25-2012 01:49 PM

Symbiote dude man guy,,, that mancave is so fucking sick... i wish i had a room like that.. one day ill have a sick setup like that..

You are APPRECIATED.

Thank you kindly. The past pages were morbid and I hate it when the conversations get like that. Its easy to get wrapped up in something we are all so passionate about. MU is our escape, our hobby that calms us down in our day to day lives.

I'd post more MU pics, but I don't chage many things around. I don't like repeating myself either.

You know what, I totally understand. I tend to refrain myself from posting a lot of pics in one post so that it doesn't clog up the page. I try to stick with 3-5 pics a post but sometimes I can get carried away. Sorry for that but this time it was needed as shockwave gave me the call "arkers assemble!!" Or thats what I heard in my head at least, lol.

Thanks. I did make one for lord marvel too. His grand skrull army needed one.

Always optimus. I move that ghost busters backdrop. I'm going to setup some shelves soon too. Gotta make space for sdcc stuff. I had a desk in the man cave that wasn't being used. My girlfriend convinced me to take out the desk and put a couch there so I can actually see my collection and watch tv. True man cave status. She calls them, my little guys. Now she's afraid she'll never see me anymore.

Thank you. I want to do fiery hair on dark phoenix like the one someone on here did. Apologies to the arker that did it. There are so many new peeps here that I forgot who it was.

Twas I. I'm still trying to get the base figure for another custom he requested. I'm hoping to find it at sdcc from an outside vendor.

Symbiote, where did you get that entertainment center and how much did it cost? I'm in the market for a new one and if I can combine MU with it its a bonus.

Torn Prince 06-25-2012 02:11 PM

Just thought of two other MU figures that need to get made: Eric The Red and Meltdown

KingLouie731 06-25-2012 02:17 PM

Phantasm88 more pics of that Quasar custom please and thank you

I'd also be down with a Heralds pack but I think I would want a 5 or 6 pack so I could have all the heralds involved in the Herald's Ordeal. We have Surfer already so I'd just need Firelord, Air Walker, Terrax, Nova & Morg but I wouldn't be put out if they wanted to pack in a Stardust too

I got my widow, hawkeye, skrull and advanced armor iron man today I know a lot of people here don't like movie figs but I must say dispite articulation on H.E. and skrull these are among the most detailed and unique molds and why I like movie lines widow IMO has the best female mold at this scale ever porportions are human accurate articulation excellent my only regret is I couldn't buy doubles like I used to awesome figures now I must wait for them to show up in some 4 for 20's because I don't want to open them :D

shortysben 06-25-2012 02:59 PM

going on vacation this week, bad news: gonna be away from the collection (it is still in ruin and chaos after my nephew came and gone), Good news: I have a WM 6" Hulk, and MS Thanos waiting for me at my destination!

Aw, thanks guys.
When I finished my last batch of customs, the the collective opinion of this thread was fewer customs, more appreciation, so I made a thread for my dudes and dudette. But I got no problem giving them some love here too.:D

interestingly enough, I am being drawn to gettting the hulk, and cap now (just to complete the team)...but I am still squeamish about spending 9$/piece on them...

jaybird7072 06-25-2012 03:12 PM

I love the avengers cap figure. I think it came out good
