If you have a drill, you could just drill a hole in the arm and in the stuck peg and superglue a pin to connect the two. That's how I fixed the crappy Booster Gold DC Infinite Heroes figure and it still holds up. Otherwise use a thumbtack to make the hole. You really just need to make a hole in both parts. Mind you, I recall DC Direct uses harder plastic and the the thumbtack thing may not work as well without heating up the plastic.

Barefootabe 06-09-2012 09:01 PM

that sucks man ,maybe someone could fix it for you? i have a dremmel but im not sure if i could do it or not

DogFashionDisco 06-09-2012 09:04 PM

I'm afraid I'll mess it up, seriously.

You dont have to pay for shipping. Its all handled through PayPal. They email you a shipping label. The figure is broken not to sound rude but thats why it probably was such a great deal. Get the money back and put it towards another one.

EDIT: I could never have/tolerate a high dollar Lemon figure.

DogFashionDisco 06-09-2012 09:39 PM

Alright, I'm taking this all into consideration and I have emailed him one final time with my version of an ultimatum, which is more like a "let's figure this out, otherwise I'm letting Paypal take care of it". I hate awkward crap like this, but you can't just puss out and let sketchy things happen.

PayPay has access to all the emails. What is his feedback rating?

SwindlesShop 06-09-2012 09:49 PM

anybody get the new 52 dc direct Batman? I absolutely love it for some reason :p

DogFashionDisco 06-09-2012 09:52 PM

Its great, but so is mine, and this guy was very pleasant up until something went wrong so I don't know what to think at this point. Now I just have to wait and see what happens I guess, but seeing this figure in person makes me skeptical about the fact that it broke in two places so easily. I mean it seems like it is made well, so what the hell would it take to bust it apart like this?

Thats very depressing! I would do what I posted. This is sounding like a first time for you on a broken purchase on eBay. Its natural to feel like you do. Everything is in your hands not his. You received a broken product that was listed as NOT. You have all the Power. Your seller has to pay for shipping and refund your money. That figure as awesome as he is is a LEMON and should be treated as such. Do you really want a great sought after figure like Mad Hatter stitched and glued together?

Barefootabe 06-09-2012 10:34 PM

it looks like an easy fix to me, but you did pay for it and you shouldnt have to pay for a broken figure and fix it yourself. so id try to get a refund

DogFashionDisco 06-09-2012 10:40 PM

You're both right, I just hate that I finally got one and now I'll have to turn around and send it back. I have had a few things like this happen in the past, but people were generally cool about it and sent back most of the money I spent, and the damage was never this extensive. This guy is apparently a customizer, so it is one of those weird, random scenarios where he wants it back (did he break it because it didn't sell for enough, who knows?), which is strange and I thought I finally checked another classic character off my must have list.

How was the figure shipped DFD? Envelope or box? If it was an envelope, it is all the sellers fault and it breaking in transit [if it did] is not surprising.

So what happened DFD?

DogFashionDisco 06-10-2012 06:05 PM

After a very long letter to the seller in which I pretty much covered every concern I had and was as polite and articulate as humanly possible, he agreed to send a generous partial refund. I know a lot of guys would only settle for a full refund, but with this figure I won't be changing its pose so I'll just do my best to fix it and appreciate the fact that I finally own one. In the end, the seller can retain his integrity and I can at least add to my rogue's gallery. Plus he does have his tiny, ridiculous tea cup.

edit:
Ok, I just finished a ton of homework so I decided to try and fix the figure myself since I settled on a partial refund. How does it look?

As long as your happy. He looks good. Any movement in his right arm or did you just glue it on?

This reason here is why I choose not to buy dcd or marv. Sel. Figs any more. I have had a lot of the 1st ones and even still have some of them now but I won't buy anymore because they can break easily! I have had this happen several times now. They look fantastic and poseability is mediocre @best but they are not that durable. I admit its hard to resist because the sculpting, detail is better than kenners but if it breaks then your outa luck. And some of these comic shops that sell these don't want you coming back for a replacement or refund either!

DogFashionDisco 06-10-2012 07:29 PM

To answer both of you, I haven't tried to move his arm because I'm worried it'll fall off again. I used glue, but tried to get it just on the peg part.

I recently bought a DCD Hush figure, but his guns weren't designed right and the triggers break off. I tried to email DC Direct about it, but of course they don't respond to people who question their quality control.
