From looking at the larger pictures, it seems the only difference is an ankle joint. I don't see evidence o anything else other than a slightly more detailed sculpt... I preordered the wave, but it looks like I'm gonna get screwed with another pile of Hulks.

paint looks a little darker too but not enough for me to worry about purchasing as I got the current one from my wife for father's day

BBTS has the set of 3 for 50...that's what I orderd....Then you don't have to spend 120,and get more hulks...lol...And there is one of the aliens with the set of 3 also...

Thanks, I appreciate the compliment and once you learn a few painting techniques it isn't that hard. I haven't did customs in years, but lately I am feeling more inspiration thanks to some of these newer MUs that are coming out. Just wait till I get my hands on the new MU Red Hulk.

I don't know why but it seems I love the Hulk a lot more than I realized. I must have made a number of customs of him, and I keep buying more of his figures in recent history.

P.S. I added a link to my previous custom work to my sig.

Nexodusrex 06-27-2012 11:29 AM

trying to figure out how many furys I am getting. So far 3. one for black fury, one to be modded with a winter soldier to make white fury, and one for a blade custom.

Yes, but only one alien. We all know that's not enough. plus this way I can help out another Arker with the extra Widow, Fury, articulated IM, etc. Also, $17 per figure is ridiculous. At the full case pricepoint, you're paying normal $10 retail.

True...And like Nex posted I might need an extra for Blade.

Also I shouldn't have a problem finding the Aliens...Going to get a least 20...So that's why this set works for me....

Dragon Prime 06-27-2012 11:44 AM

I just had a great thought since everyone is thinking on The Chitauri as the alien figure in the next Avenger wave.

Why doesn't Hasbro just make cheaper less artuculated figures in 3pks for army builders. Shit, they could even be hollow figures, but just something cheap to make for army building. Imagine a 3 or 6 pk of Chitauri. I still think they should give us a fully articulated one, but these in addition for displays and whatnot.

Torn Prince 06-27-2012 11:47 AM

There's not really anything in the new wave of 3.75 inch stuff that I'm interested in, but I'm glad Widow and Hawkeye are getting re-released, maybe everybody will have a chance to get one now :)

Nexodusrex 06-27-2012 12:02 PM

Toywiz has single Avengers Wave 4 preorders incase you dont want to get the ironman or chitauri.

Marvel Avengers Movie 4 Inch Action Figure Nick Fury Pre-Order ships September

I just preordered 3 Nick Furys. 5% off code "Ben10"

They did that for the first round of Clone Wars, Attack of the Clones and ROTS and it doesn't seem that they sold very well.

Anywho, I was bored at work this morning so I decided to pimp out my Avenger 4pk MU Hulk.

http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/a.../NIMUHulk1.jpg

As some of you know I already switched the Head with the Avenger Movie Hulk fig, but I decided to take it a step further by giving him a lighter green to match the movie skintone, and I always prefered jeans on the Hulk so I turned his purple pants into jeans.

Thanks for stopping by.

You did this at work? I couldn't do this on a week's vacation. Very nice!

I may check Toywiz out, I've never been there before.

Thanks.

Yeah, this took me about 2 hours off and on. I am fortunate to have a job that is very slow during the summer, and a boss who is really cool. As long as the store itself is clean, all of my repairs are done, and any customer who walks through the door is being taken care of I have free reign of the place. Yesterday I watched Tremors 2, 3, and 4 on Netflix and got paid to do so. I work 6 days a week, so I may as well get my relaxing days when I can get them. Come winter time, and I'll be too busy to be painting figures.

ashketch 06-27-2012 02:19 PM

Well I'm preordering the box. I still need that hulk lol. The good part is I'll be stuck with an extra fury, widow, and hawkeye. Keeping both chitauri. We all know the movie enemy figure is going to be a chitauri.

Also, I can't tell but I bet that articulated Ironman is going to be a reprinted IM2 fig with ankle rockers. Wouldn't matter to me tho, I really like that Mark VII armor

No, the armor is clearly different than any of the IM2 figures. Look at the shoulders and knees on the picture I posted.

I know her neck is a bit long, for some reason they decided to give Storm an extra long neck

I just noticed her belt lost a stud, I'll have to go back and fix it

Yea, Hulk is still vanishing from pegs. If you see him, grab him, your collector friends will be happy.

Sadly he's gotten impossible to find. Hopefuly you can cast that head with the pressure pot you're buying next week and make your money back over the summer... ;)

Its from the gi joe skystrike figure captain ace. I also use it for my peter parker head.

Works great for both! Though it looks a bit pale for Peter. Amazing how it can look mad on Starlord, but content on Parker...

Wonderful work. I often have to give a second glance because the movie head starts out looking small, but when you really look, it's just fine. That custom is how they should re-release the movie Hulk for Wave 5.

I hope it's wrists, torso, and a neck hinge, but you can't see any of that in the picture. Is it weird that I like nice articulation and I'm a MOC collector? Peer pressure!

I'd be all over your extras if there was another Chitauri. I'd rather help an Arker unload and save us both some cash than pay the ridiculous $62 I pre-ordered for.

I still think BW will be HTF. One per case is going to be just as bad in September as it is now.
