Hey New Wolverine, do you want to be in a Deadpool movie?

That Wolverine looks great. Hopefully I'll see her or the upcoming Jewel around at retail.

MeLikeJinx 03-05-2017 01:47 PM

^ That new Wolvie looks so good. I missed my chance I think... only saw an IM and beard guy left at Target this morning. Who knows when this wave will show up elsewhere in large numbers. Probably gonna have to pay mark-up prices now.

LordMudd 03-05-2017 02:02 PM

That head might double for Hawkwoman...

I think a good six figure line woulda been Logan, Xavier, Caliban, Laura, Pierce, and the Final Boss.

snake5289 03-05-2017 03:05 PM

Ordered the Doctor Strange pack earlier today. Said it should be here some time next week.

Or Shartimus Prime.

Mordiganne 03-05-2017 04:37 PM

Meant to ask this the other day when I logged on...

I was painting up the unmasked Captain Marvel head recently so I could get that done and put it back with the figure and it got me thinking.

I've seen a number of ML size customs where they put "make up" on female figure customs and I almost put make up on Marvel here, then I started to think...Why? I have a hard time believing that superheroes would stop to put on makeup before facing whatever crisis might be going on much less it staying on during combat. And it really just seems pointless.

Painted lips is one thing, since lips are already a different shade but I'm not seeing the point behind makeup in general. Any thoughts?

Mordiganne 03-05-2017 04:43 PM

Onslaught is all painted up and boy does this look sharp! I might post this guy early for folks to check out. He's for the next batch. Toybiz BAFs are still way batter than Hasbro's both in detail and paint, but being able to pull them apart again without breaking like Hasbro's can do is a nice touch. Made repainting Onslaught so much easier. Just need to get a second so I can make a custom I have in mind.

LordMudd 03-05-2017 04:45 PM

A woman gets up in the morning and puts on make up for the day. She wouldn't stop to wipe it off any more than she would stop to put it on, especially if she is Janet Van Dyne Pym.

I was looking at ordering a Toy Biz Onslaught for my MU setup but while I do like his monstrous final form his more human Magneto look is my favorite so I went with the Hasbro one. The articulation is very limited but damn I love his presence among my other powerhouse villains.

I still have to pick up a cap wolf to get the final piece, which I kind of feel like is optional. I feel like the onslaught baf is more in 3.75" scale... speaking of which if we get another Logan wolverine it would be cool if he had his look when his adamantium was removed.

Also saw a fin fang foom loose and complete at a local comic con this week but they wanted $500, or $1,000 for the carded wave

A lot of people on eBay certainly feel the back shell is optional as I saw a lot of "complete" listings that clearly didn't have it yet still they charged $60+ for it. I got Cap on Amazon for $13 Prime but now he is back up to $16 so I guess I found a good window, I actually really like it as a good 6" classic Captain on its own but I feel like Onslaught is incomplete without his shell so it was needed to finish him. Onslaught works with the legends but he definitely feels better with universe figures as he is typically drawn as being massive.

snake5289 03-05-2017 08:14 PM

Does the ML/BAF Dormammu work well with MU figures?

May be a while before I get started but I've been thinking of tracking him down even if it's piece by piece.

Dormammu is capable of being whatever size he wants, the BAF absolutely can work with MU stuff. He's been as small as a person and as big as a planet and all places between.

snake5289 03-05-2017 08:31 PM

I figured as much but my knowledge about him isn't super detailed so I wasn't sure. Thanks a bunch.

Kernel 03-05-2017 08:39 PM

Old pic... but since we are on that subject...

Dormammu, I've come to bargain!

Dang it en Sabah... now I want that back shell lol... plus I've always had a sweet spot for cap wolf.

Nice. That scene was great. Hell the whole Hong Kong/Dark Dimension part at the end was ****ing awesome.

I'd say go for it. Like I said not only does it truly complete Onslaught but I think it's a very solid Captain America figure on its own merits. The paint has plenty of room to come out sloppy but I've never seen any that were terrible and the one amazon sent me is mostly good.

Visually it was a real treat but I kinda felt like it was a fizzle compared to the buildup.

Looks a little big for his MvC3 self... is there a shorter one?

Augustus_Cole 03-06-2017 08:39 AM

I found the wave for the most part at a local target. No Lady Deadpool or Moon Knights in sight.

yeah that version of onslaught is a great addition to the MU ranks.i think the 90s version was the best looking as it had a cool feature of prof x trapped in a psyonic bubble that was molded into the back shell.articualtion was crap though.i still like this version though!

agreed both versions work better with our line than the legends.its the reason i held on to all my toybiz bafs.im still trying to find the end hulk BAF piece to complete my foom(i was sent the variant savage hulk instead of the end).500 is a bit too much considering he was selling for 250 loose and complete about 2 weeks ago.
