CVS makes more sense to me.

I get why it's walgreens over CVS. At least around me CVS has just the cheap junky toys, even if they are name brand figures they are the cheaper versions. Walgreens has legit toys such as walking dead, star wars, transformers in their normal form.

Sav-on used to have some legit toys.

Eh, CVS overcharges too much for it to be viable. Walgreens is, for the most part, standard retail price.

Early Cuyler 05-16-2017 12:31 PM

Anyone with Sue have the UPC or item number? Thanks

I remember an old store called Gemco...it was kinda like a super walmart in the 80's. I used to find some really cool stuff there when my folks and i would go shopping.

You keep throwing me off, man - you use "Psych" instead of "Cyke" for Cyclops, and whenever I read it, I think there's some news I missed about a Psylocke figure! :D

Fedex has decided that my GOTG wave 2 needs to take a tour of the Old South. Picked up in Murfreesboro to be delivered in Nashville (30 minutes away.) Got picked up yesterday and hit the Nashville sorting site yesterday evening. Left Nashville sorting site and is now in....Olive Branch, MS. O_O?????...scheduled delivery on Monday the 22nd. sigh.

Kudos to Dorkside for getting these shipped out so quickly. Non-kudos to Fedex for their inefficiency. Ah well, it's still supporting a local business, and I'll keep doing it, I'm just not sure if this is normal shipping for Fedex or not. It would seem it should go pick up- sorting to Nashville and then delivery....I may have to rethink about ordering and holding for customer pickup which they offer, if it's a wave I really want fast.

Speaking of Psylocke, En Sabah Nerd's latest post regarding MCU Scarlett Witch gave me an idea finally of what I can use those ridiculous effects of hers for.

It's not perfect, but I think it works better than the Jubilee effects, and since no one is casting the psychic knife effect anymore, why not? Just a little bit of lavender and pink drybrushing and I think I'm set...

Maybe Stan Lee is the truck driver. Are you Tony Stank?

SymbiSpidey 05-16-2017 08:13 PM

Was able to look into my Walgreens' store computer and it said the expected arrival date for Invisible Woman is the 23rd of this month. Not sure if that's an across the board thing (though I'd imagine it would be), but I'd check your local Walgreens around that date.

I'm working that morning so I shouldn't have any problem being able to get one for myself unless a really dedicated scalper comes in before 7:30 in the morning and takes all 6 off the shelf.

If that's an across the board date then my store went rogue. Heads up people we've got a renegade Walgreens, gods help us all :bow

That's some MattyCollector bullshit right there.

While it looks strange that's actually protocol. Memphis is home to the largest Fedex super hub in the country. Every package we ship via Fedex passes through Memphis.

I've added a note to your account to remind us on future orders to always ship priority. Since you're local it costs us about the same either way.

Is that starks redneck cousin? Ahrn mayn. His armor is plaid on the top blue on the bottom and the boots are painted like mudstompers. ;)

Hey thanks Dorkside I really appreciate that. That is very interesting, I wonder why they do that. Definitely nothing to do with you all though, you did your part very quickly, whatever quirks Fedex has is on them. On the other hand I won't worry about it if that's their standard thing. It'll get here when it gets here. First world problems, right?

Not sure who the MattyCollector is that was referenced in a couple of posts, but I know once a shipper picks up an order from a vendor, unless the vendor has the wrong label or address on it (usually very unlikely and not the case in this instance anyways), any errors made fall on the shipper. I'm not one to cast doubt on every party just because one step of the way seems odd.

MattyCollector was Mattel's online store. The shipping was expensive and your package would move around the country for about a week before finally being delivered.
