Anyone got links on where I can buy the strange set and the guardians set online? I'm stateside if that makes a difference

MUfan97 03-06-2017 06:25 PM

Soooo is the hood on the new Moon Knight a separate piece? And if so, how does the head look without the hood piece?

'Cause the new figure is making me want a Moon Knight...But the new one has a weird thing going on with his head, and the older one is going for more than he's worth, so best option for me appears to be a custom.

Just found this figure at Target and I totally agree... great fig. It is such a good fig that I don't even mind that the torso is a solid piece.

You mean these ^

Jay West 03-07-2017 05:04 PM

If the line was up and running like the old days what would you guys like to see? I'd like to see some of the newer teen characters - Female Iron Man, Viv Vision, Young Nova. And some of the missing no brainer characters like Ronan. I'd also love some kid figures like Gabby from Wolverine and Annie from Spider Man. Heck a Renew Your Vows box set would be awesome with Peter, MJ, and Annie in Spider Gear. I'd also like Ben Reilly in Jackal gear. It was a temporary look but cool.

What would you guys want if it was the hey day of the line?

snake5289 03-07-2017 05:15 PM

A Midnight Sons boxset. Dan Ketch Ghost Rider, Johnny Blaze, Vengeance, Blackout, Lilith, and Zarathos. Probably wouldn't sell that well though.

Tigra to complete WCA original line-up
Crystal
Banshee
Frenzy (modern look) - can't explain this
Kingpin
Spectrum
Speed Demon
Prowler
Paladin
Justice
Night Thrasher
Namorita
Man-wolf
Songbird
Ronan
Super Skrull
High Evolutionary
Ghost
Swordsman
Agent Venom
Miss America Chavez
Blue Marvel
Batroc
Cobra
Mister Hyde
Moonstone

Jay West 03-07-2017 09:43 PM

Great choices. No idea how Agent Venom slipped through the cracks. Kingpin would be awesome. I wishe there was a way to make a custom. I sometimes consider Vort's kit, but at $60 for the kit and another $40-$60 to paint that is crazy expensive. I just can't quite go with the old Toy Biz one.

Jay West 03-07-2017 09:44 PM

Would have loved Hellfire Club troopers.

Il Cattivo 03-07-2017 10:10 PM

agents of shield and netflix characters would be awesome.

Stature
Hulkling
Wiccan
Iron Lad
Spider Girl Ana Korazon with a May Parker variant

I like the Vort Kingpin kit, it has its problems but is pretty good. The main problem with Kingpin is he isn't drawn in perspective. What I mean to say, his proportions are totally out of whack. Giant frame, WIDE shoulders, tiny head, super tiny feet, gigantic hands and so on. Using existing parts will only ever give you an "action figure look" version.... the old ToyBiz one is too tall, I am gonna nip and tuck and see if I can't shorten him 1/2" or so. Still not perfect but will scale a bit better and not stand out too much.

I though no the way to go is like The Blob figure, but with a more updated sculpt. That mean hollow plastic with most likely just shoulder rotation. How posable does he need to be really? In this capacity he could be perfect in a collection and just ok on his own.

I'm still trying to figure out how Superior Spider-Man and Agent Venom have come and gone and been made in every scale but this one.

Captain Nash 03-08-2017 08:22 AM

What would I want if it were the heyday of the line again? Trying to remember my wishlist but it's been so long...but I'm going to try.

Absolute needs/holes in the line:
Kingpin
Lady Deathstrike
Viper/Madam Hydra

Characters that should be given some priority:
Pyro
Avalanche
Justice
Domino
Crystal
Maximus
The Wizard
Songbird
Snowbird
Shamen
Sasquatch
Venom
Carnage
Ms. Marvel

Characters I personally really want to see made that I can understand may not be a priority for fandom over all or for Hasbro:
Polaris
Cannonball
Magik
Moonstar
Sunpot
Attuma
Annihalus (sp)
Karnak
Forge
Spiral
Citizen V.
Mach II/IV
Selene
Sersi
Fixer
Moonstone
Atlas
Sauron
Morgan Le Fey
Deathbird
Shang chi
Living Lightening
Exodus
Dazzler
Monet
Count Nefaria
Graviton
Madam Masque
Crimson Cowl
Titania
Typhoid Mary
Guardian (Heather Hudson)
Marrow
Syrin
Blink
Sebastian Shaw
Killmonger
Purple Man
Spectrum
Blue Marvel
Black Swan
The Hood
Angela

I'm sure I'm missing some I really want to see but that's what I remember off the top of my head. This is so X-heavy, I wonder if Hasbro would ever take note lol.

Lionheart 03-08-2017 08:38 AM

Great list Cap!

I'm a vintage guy generally, and while I understand that people love the new characters / new versions of characters, I always feel that the original needs some kind of release first. Sort of a 'join the queue' thing - though I realise that isn't necessarily financially viable. Here's a bunch I'd like to see:

Black Goliath (70’s version)
Jack of Hearts
Paladin
Phantom Rider
Prowler
Puma
Battlestar
Rocket Racer
Sasquatch
Chance
Red Wolf
Shang-Chi
Smithfield Thunderbolt
Texas Twister
El Aguila
White Tiger
Earth Force
Batroc
Blizzard
Firelord
Goliath (bad)
Graviton
Grey Gargoyle
Super Patriot
Left Winger
Right Winger
Hydro Man (classic)
Jack O’ Lantern
Meteor Man
Molecule Man
Pyro
Scorpion (classic)
Tarantula
Spitfire
Lionheart
Shadowcat (Excalibur Version)
Hellcat
Dazzler
Shooting Star
Silver Sable
Tigra
Titania
Thundra

Exodus 03-08-2017 09:44 AM

Whatever 6 inch version they had, down size them to the 3.75, they do it for both lines actually but sometimes they don't...

Karnak has been done, in the box set. Just a paint app and you have Wizard.

Oh that's right, I have that set too. LOL. I think I just transferred him over from my 6 inch scale wants, in my mind. The rest though I don't believe have been done, though there are alternatives to Venom I know, from other lines, as well as a few figures from the Wolverine and the X-men line (Avalanche, Forge)

This is what I think should happen have the same figures for both lines but release a different wave for each line and alternate.
