If only the arms weren't so over-sized. Any of the other flaws would be easy to get over.

Finally picked up the 6" Jyn Erso since now that I've actually seen the movie she's a figure I want. Had to do some looking to find one with both good paint on the eyes and eyebrows but I think the one I got is pretty clean. The lego Ghost is actually from the other week, my local grocery store had it marked down to just $5 so I got it but I just now actually put it together. I still haven't started Rebels (I don't even know how I would start at this point) but it's a pretty nice ship design and one of the most intricate of all these little lego microfighters.

Nice. Kind of hard to find Rogue One figs where I live.

Every store here except for TRU got like 6 cases of the first Rogue One wave so none of them are too hard to find. K2 is the only one that completely sold out, even the deathtrooper stuck around. TRU just didn't get the Rogue One standard case because they opted to choke on what seems like close to 40 of their exclusive hovertank pilot figure.

Honestly, Watch the first 2 episodes of season 1, watch the last 2 episodes of season 1, then get into it at season 2. Most of the first season was pretty sub standard compared to Clone Wars. But in the 2nd and current 3rd season it has gotten much better.

Yeah same here about TRU and also Target. There's an entire aisle dedicated to Star Wars at Target with mostly TFA figures Rogue One virtually untraceable. Mostly sold out online too. Couldn't even find the 3.75' figures either XD

That would skip Rise of the Old Masters in season one, which is one of the better episodes. And the Lando episode which is pretty good too.

haha..."you big dummy...."

Riddick 01-10-2017 12:13 PM

LMAO! I was waiting on someone to comment on that. Plus the big fat shirtless dude I found on Ebaums World in that picture frame. I love when people visit and ask ''who the hell is that?'' If it's family, I tell them ''That's our cousin Jake''

It's hilarious seeing people's reaction to that guy. I can't believe someone took a picture of him in that pose haha.

Gotta commend playmates for making something I was actually impressed by...this is not a company I think of when the words "good toy" are spoken.

Outside of some odd paint choices (why is the upper chest silver and why didn't they pant the face of voltron?!?) they totally knocked this one out of the park at the price point.

The lack of paint of the voltron face bothered me a little too much, but 30 minutes of taping and spraying later I was happy
If only modern day power rangers zords could be this good

Totally agree with you, heck the combiner one of it looks bad ass and the price point for them is a really good deal for how they are very articulated.

Brownfinger 01-10-2017 01:44 PM

Dreamworks Voltron is the first mecha show I've seen that made me want toys of the pilots more than the machinery.
Man, that looks nice, though.

Yesterday's acquisition:

Amazing shots! Love the contrast to the white background!

Brownfinger 01-10-2017 02:52 PM

Aw. Thank you, kindly!
It's the cheapest and simplest set up ever. I just use an old empty styrofoam ice cream container, shine the mid day sunlight into it, and use Photoshop or GIMP (Photoshop's free to download step brother) to turn up the contrast.

Bring out the GIMP.

I'm sorry it was right there I had to do it.

I don't usually post on here but... I was glad I was able to pick up these two bad boys for 1/2 off @ Barnes & Noble!

** Wolvie was just around my desk so I figured he wanted in on some Hulkbuster bashing, lol!

That's just genius. GIMP and Photoshop for lighting always a must. I use it daily :D

I'm currently experiencing a renewed interest in the TMNT franchise, and since the Playmates figures are still terrible, lol, I've been focusing on Loyal Subjects, Kidrobot, and Funko stuff instead.

Even though I gave up on Playmates' TMNT line a few years ago, due to their substandard quality, I had to make an exception for this Playmates figure of Karai, since figures of her don't come along nearly often enough. I know that Kidrobot did a Karai vinyl figure, but, to my knowledge, neither Loyal Subjects or Funko has given us a Karai yet.

EDIT: Correction, I think it was actually Loyal Subjects, not Kidrobot, that included Karai in their line :p

Man, this Crimson Guard is probably my all time favorite G.I. Joe figure. It's the only figure I ever army built, back then I still collected Joes, I had like 20 of it, & even if I had to let go my collection, it's one of the few I still own. It's just perfect!!

Today is the 1st day of the winter sales in France, so I went toy hunting this afternoon. Everything was 50% off.

I already had the BS Hux, but get this one for trade, if someone's interested, PM me.

Also, Civil War II is being translated this month, since I missed the american version, thought I could give it a chance this time

Since you're nyc-based..I saw a bunch of the hulk busters at the Barnes and noble by the museum of natural history the other day. It was listed at $200 with 50% off.

With Barnes & Nobles RED DOT price, I paid $140 for both statues...The Hulkbuster retail, sticker price was marked at $199.95, the Hulk was retail, sticker at $69.95...So, I think its a good deal considering JUST the HB Kotobukiya statue on Amazon is going for 179.

I'll post of pict with the measurements later, but theyre labeled as "1/10" scale statues. So, bigger than Marvel Legends 6", obviously.

I love these statues! These make 3 statues from Kotobukiya that I have now. My first was the Marvel NOW Hulk that was a gift. That thing is AWESOME! Now these! They're huge and I have to find room for them now, but its worth it!
