My additions over the past couple of weeks, all Marvel save the Black Lanterns in back and Angry Birds up front.

I want to thank all the Arkers with their support via commerce and advice.

Nico247 06-28-2012 01:41 PM

Thanks for the support(?) guys. I was lurking here ever since i started my MU collection.
I post really really (sometimes a bit too) long opinions/insights about toys and stuff which may not be appropriate in the forum and more suitable for a blog post. Anyways thank you for the encouragement! Peace

I honestly don't get how this guy has so many bids on things? Everything is bidded on and most all of it (even WITH the shipping discount) is going for MORE than the lowest buy it now of the exact item on ebay. For example, the nightcrawler/storm pack is already $6 higher than the cheapest buy it now and has over a day left. This guy must be jumping up and down as to how much he's getting for all this.. :x

I asked him why he was selling (thinking maybe it was the doom and gloom talk of one of the boards), and he said that he thought ML was over and got into MU, now that ML is back, he's switching back and getting rid of this collection.

And yes, his bids ALL look inflated. (Save the IM2 ones).

Nevertheless, I still love his title of his MJ listing:

So pretty much the same prices on line, but I don't have to pay shipping. And I can sell and trade off the extras to you guys!

I'm still might not pick this up! Who am I kidding I will! I'm a MU whore!

Back in September, I'd say $10 a figure is too much. Now I think it's a steal!

I believe we're all MU whores. Dirty, Filthy, Stinking, Whores. ;)

Saw that. I especially like the loose Daken figures. That's a great deal if you don't care about the Dark Spider-Man fig.

Peteparker thanks for the Hawkeye!! That same day I found 1 at Walmart before I got home and discovered yours on my doorstep. Im only selling 1 for the price i got mine for just to recoup the cost $15 shipped.

Thanks pete im gonna hold on to the one you sent me and im going to pay the other one i found forward. PM me.

Isn't that how it always goes? Someone help the brother out and pick up the extra Hawkeye from him!

just wanted to give a quick rundown of the figures in that shot i'd posted. thanks a ton for the appreciation, fellow forumites! :D

Panther - cast Panther head so i could add in a right sized socket, Warpath hands, Namor body, Namor bands, and apoxie details on feet. didn't have a Bullseye at the time or maybe i did but didn't want to mod it but had started painting the Namor body to see how well the paint would hold up. also sanded his sequin hot pants down.

Widow - single carded Black Widow's head, modded forearms (gave em ankle pegs so they're swivel hinged), and her belt and stingers onto an X-23 body. used hot glue to keep the head on the body. had added indents into the tops of the sockets in the thigh in conjunction with carving away at the hips so her legs could have better range. also tried to add more torso range by carving away at the torso hole thing. had learned you could pop the torso apart with heat, basically just a socket and peg. did this for maybe all 4-5 of my X-23 bases.

You see friends, that's hours of work right there in the two figures alone. That's some dedication to customizing! I wish your picture came in wallpaper-sized, NC!

this is pretty much how i feel about that. also seemed the stores around me just stopped stocking the avengers stuff since the movie came out. and by seems, i mean they really haven't stocked anything. all i see are the same leftover comic series figures.

Then it's time to start moving the peg warmers from one location to another, little by little. ;)

This guy posted his reviews elsewhere, and I thoroughly appreciated this one, so I figured others here would appreciate it as well.

I also thought this was a great deal until I realized it's only 3 pieces and the shipping is 800% the cost of the figures...

proteus 06-28-2012 02:37 PM

Any of the guys who have spare Movie Hawkeye figures, should contact chris (Toyark Toy Forums - View Profile: Sector15) he's chewing his arm off to get hold of one!!!

SquirtleSquad7 06-28-2012 02:52 PM

Is that X-Men pack worth getting, if I have no X-men whatsoever? It looks fine, but I'd like opinions.

That is IF I ever see it at retail.

gunzilla 06-28-2012 02:56 PM

I think the 2 pack sinister is better than the one here same go's for Apocolypse but if you don't have them then I say it's a good deal besides you get the angel early

Whoa when did MJ cost that much? I passed that figure up last year at a Walmart and Target once, ended up getting it from a board member though.

And haha ya no kidding on 10 being too much:p Now we have to get used to that being a normal price.

Ninjinister 06-28-2012 04:30 PM

Ms. Lion's actually the highlight of the pack (those arms on MJ scare me). Viva la Pet Avengers!

bmorr 06-28-2012 04:35 PM

I never saw her at retail. Too bad she costs way more than id ever shell out.

ashketch 06-28-2012 04:35 PM

I have to drive at least 80 more miles to reset my O2 sensor on my car so I figured why not just hit up all my 24hr walmarts?? So If I find any goodies I'll let u all kno.

Also that xfactor TRU pack just dropped to a no buy for me. That angel (even tho it's red variant to the blue in single card), I can't get over that they r using spidey mold for it. I thought they were using the newer Jim lee cyclops mold but oh we'll. Knife thru my heart

The pre-orders for the subscription white Nick Fury on BBTS have switched to in stock.

I think i'd pay $50 or 60 tops, no way i'd do $90.

its the series 3 lizard which are translucent, and iam thinking since lizards camouflage they thought this would be a good ideal .. which i really dont know but i kind of like it, :) even if this figure sucks

Jason Abbadon 06-28-2012 09:07 PM

You should try some 90% alcohol on it to see if he's all clear...but even then, the figure really sucks.

He looks so suprised "Wait...why do I suck so bad!?!?"

Tiberius 06-28-2012 09:08 PM

He has that "surprise butsechs" face.

Jason Abbadon 06-28-2012 09:16 PM

He's got that "Last thing I remember I was at the party and ...where's my pants!??" look.
This is one of those things where his friends talk about for years to come.
