Either Doctor Strange or GotG Vol. 2 were the first movie made under this new hierarchy.

Unfortunately, Jeph Loeb and the Marvel TV division still answer to Perlmutter, and that's been the main thing keeping the shows/Netflix series and movies from crossing over as much as fans would like them to.

Interesting.....Marvel in tv/film is a complex subject I'm coming to find.

Terence Howard was replaced because Jon Favreau did not get along with him, and RDJ took some of the money that was supposed to go to Terence, and Terence was not happy with the pay cut and walked.

I would link to the source of the thing abiut Ike replacing Terrence with Don, Financial Times, but their website seems to be one of those ones that requires you to pay for a subscription to access their website. Plus, again, that was allegedly the reason. Plus, things like that can happen for multiple reasons.

I read that your version is on wikipedia, but Terence Howard has gone on record (you can find the interview on youtube) where he talks about how RDJ pushed him out of Iron Man 2. If Terence was fired because of Ike, he would have said something about it like he did RDJ.

Now, perhaps Ike had a hand in casting Don Cheadle.

Weapon X 05-19-2017 08:18 PM

I also must say I find it hard to believe that anyone thinks Don Cheadle and Terence Howard look even remotely the same. Completely different skin tones, facial structure, hairline, even body type.

It's very complex. Very vague on one end, and almost nonexistent on the other. For those looking for the Netflix characters to show up in the movies, Kevin Feige always says "never say never".

I used to want them to cross over, but then I actually sat down and watched all the shows, and realized they don't even remotely resemble the MCU in any way aside from shoehorned references to "the incident". I think they should just be in their own world.

Any rational person would say the same, but racists are very good at mass generalization. Again, that reasoning for replacing Terrence with Don was alleged, but it's not that far-fetched of a racist thing for a billionaire mogul to say.

It's sometimes literally like night and day. I like them referencing "the incident ", but I'm glad they don't force feed like Agents of Shield. LOL

Dr Kain 05-19-2017 08:28 PM

No luck on MJ or the Homecoming LEgends yet. Can someone give me the UPC for the MJ pack?

Weapon X 05-19-2017 08:29 PM

I'd prefer the references stop, especially since they can't say The Battle of New York for some reason and keep calling it the incident.

Also, while we don't exactly where in NYC the battle took place, it's weird that there's no reconstruction visible.

Yeah....sorry....ranting. I would just prefer they be on their own where they can shine.

You've got a heck of a point. Let me just say this in regards to the battle of New York...why did we never get a Mark 7 Iron Man? I mean what was that all about?

Daredevil Season 1, chronologically the first in the Netflix series, took place two and a half to three years after "The Incident". I know that construction can take a long time, but we wouldn't be seeing /that/ much, especially if Tony Stark's Damage Control and similar companies (which are confirmed by Spider-Man: Homecoming to exist in canon) have helped clean up; Tony using his technology to help clean up and rebuild New York would take vastly shorter than in the real world.

Actually we did. Halfway through the movie he changes suits. I believe it was when Loki threw Tony out of Stark tower.

Apparently they have had a hell of a time getting distributions of Groot to their store.

Thanks pal, you saved me a drive to the two around me :).

Hey man, Im in KC too. The 40 hwy store had some last week and I posted about it, but theyve since moved. Ill keep my eyes out though. Im looking for Sue, but my stores still have Namor, Punisher, Daredevil, Ant Man...Theyll hit eventually though.

Don't worry...you'll be getting plenty of that "own world" stuff when Sony gives us a "Venom" without "Spider-Man"....but plenty of Black Cat and Silver Sable...who will also be without Spider-Man.

Although I can't disagree with the casting choice. Tom Hardy was my number one pick to play Eddie Brock (either him or Charlie Hunnam I always said,) and I am SO happy Brock is the focus of the film, and not those other cosplaying clowns who wore the suit. It's a shame that it's because of Sony wanting to cash in on the "R rated anti-hero" craze that it's keeping Spidey from ever meeting his greatest nemesis not named Osborne...

Hmm...I agree. Now I want one too.

I think Hasbro should revisit Phase one and give us new figures from it.

That's totally the different, the Venom film is just a stupid idea. Venom is contingent on Spiderman. Without Spiderman, he can't exist. He's a Spidey rogue.

The Defenders can exist without the rest of the MCU.

It's just not comparable.

I was being facetious. I'm a huge Brock Venom fan (I have two tattoos of him) and yet, I want nothing to do with a Venom movie without Spider-Man. If it wasn't for Spidey, Venom would not even exist in the first place, as Spidey is what ultimately kick-started the events, and was the motivation for him to become Venom in the first place.

And you know the whole thing is gonna be done just so they can throw Carnage out there because Sony wants to make their own comic Murder-verse to compete with Fox's and DC. BLUUD!! MONSTARZ!!! PEOPLE DYING!!!! ARGH...SO ANGST...SO EDGY!!!!!111111

Cloak and Dagger looks like it's gonna have NOTHING to do with the MCU though either, outside of a couple of Marvel name drops (like Roxxon, which was featured in the trailer.) Shame...cause C&D are two of my favorite street level heroes, and they also usually end up teaming with Spidey all the time...(including...*GASP* Maximum Carnage!!!)

Oh, my bad.

"BLUUD!! MONSTARZ!!! PEOPLE DYING!!!! ARGH...SO ANGST...SO EDGY!!!!!111111"

I'm tempted to make this my sig.

Yeah, I noticed Roxxon (which in the "actual MCU" has only appeared in the background of a few shots right?) but yeah it seems pretty distanced.

Found that Toys R Us had the Mary Jane-2 pack on the mobile version of their site this morning. Went to look it up on the desktop version, but couldn't find it. I was able to order 2, and got the free shipping. Just a heads up.

donmeca2020 05-20-2017 06:32 AM

Is there a good site for checking TRU inventory? There are a couple in my area, but both are a decent drive so I can't be running to them every day to check. Better off just calling them?

I know how you feel. The closest store to me is an hour away. Calling is probably the most reliable way. The only other way I know of for checking TRU inventory is on their site but it's very spotty. All items on their site will tell you if they're available to ship to your house or to pick up at the store. If they're available to pick up at the store, then you can search nearby stores to see if they have them in stock. But it seems like that option is rarely available. If you call, give them the R web number found in the additional info section of the product listing. That would force them to check the computer instead of looking on the shelf. Or you could just order it online.
