EDIT: I definitely have been noticing that "misaligned hinge" problem, but never anywhere near that badly. |
Went to my local walgreens to drop off Arrival at RedBox. which was a horrible movie by the way and i went to browse the legends and guess who i saw, Invisible woman. 2 packs also. not into invisible woman but its good to know that fantastic 4 is coming out in my area. the figure that i am interested in is Human torch.
That being said i went up to the worker and told him when does the truck come evry week, then i went to another worker and she said the same so i just wanted to confirm. will be hunting alittle smarter now. im coming for you human torch...if they would have made her at least half transparent then i would have been interested in her but they just did the arm transparent, kinda lame. |

The one non MCU figure out of the Mantis wave that incorporates a new body mold was Death's Head, and he was the one I had the least issues with in terms of miscast plastic and assembly, which didn't surprise me because of how new the Colossus body mold happens to be. The others that used older parts such as MJ, Pizza Spidey, and especially Ex Nihilo on the other hand, I ended up spending over an hour today shaving off extra bits of plastic, using hot water to free up or reshape joints, or had other issues right out of the box. Of course, the Bucky Cap mold stayed was surprisingly issue free with Adam Warlock, so I have no explanation there other than that damn mold being resilient. Either that, or Hasbro has a factory of them still brand new in the box, ready to go when one wears out...lol. |

Walked into Walgreens the other day, just as they finished unpacking a case of Sues

@Triv
Based on the photo, Ex Nihilo looks to be made of the same plastic as Nova-Prime and Cosmic-Ironman. Is that the truth of the matter? Is it gummy? |

I've been looking for the Invisible Woman for a while now. As of yesterday there still weren't any around here, but hopefully this week.
|
Evidently missed out on MJ 2 pack on the TRU website again.
The game is unwinnable. |

For my fellow 'out in the boondocks' dwellers, who lack access to the big brick-and-mortar retailers:
HTS currently has both Warlock Wave Colossus & Sandman Wave Spidey 2099 in stock: Generic Error Generic Error |

I remember you in the past saying that you were interested in the Adam Warlock figure, and I really think you're going to like it. It's nothing extremely special since it's on the Bucky Cap mold, but I really love the use of the Pizza Spidey splayed hand (I wish they would have given any of our Vision releases one of those,) and the Magus head is terrific and menacing...I actually prefer that one over the Adam Warlock head. He also has a great bit of head tilt which allows him to look truly psychotic. I didn't care much for the bubble effects though, but I swapped his out with the ones that Shocker came with, and I honestly think it's a 100 percent improvement. The figure is growing on me, and truthfully, I've never once cared about Adam Warlock in any capacity... http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...521_122857.jpg |
@Triv
Huh...Nihilo looks like it's implementing the exact same swirly plastic that produced a gummy feel for Nova-Prime, Cosmic-Ironman, Gladiator (one of the few that didn't end up gummy), Baf Ultron, and Baf Thanos. Maybe Hasbro had their manufactures "bake" (I've no idea what the process is called) Nihilo longer providing greater tensile strength for the plastic and a harder feel. ...I can't wait for Adam. Thanks for the info and pic, bruh. |
@Triv
Do you know the UPC for the Walgreens Black Panther? I was surprised to find Sue today, especially considering that I haven't gotten whiff of BP... |

No problem on the pic...I whipped that one up real quick just for you. I can't wait to see what you're able to do with it. Also, I should mention that the Dr. Strange "magical" effects look great with him as well. As for the Black Panther UPC...sheesh...I got rid of the box a long time ago. I found mine at a Walmart in the border town of Nogales, just outside the Mexican/US border. I'm like you, I thought they would have been here by now. Something about that release just doesn't feel right. |

Although seriously, what's the point of offering a fan vote if they are just going to give us the figure anyway? At this rate it means that Scream will also be coming in the near future... |
