Got my Spiderman/MJ 2 pack in the mail today and I'm a bit irritated with myself. The butterfly joints on my Spiderman are stuck and I ended up scraping some paint off the left shoulder when I was trying to get the joint moving (which is still stuck). Fortunately Testors insignia red is a really close match for the red on the figure (almost identical) so it's mostly fixed now. Just need to go back and touch up the red around the web lines I had to repaint. Otherwise, I'm really happy with this set.

I'm going to shit on retail employees that don't live up to the same standards I did when I worked in retail. I don't care what the excuse is, you don't just stand there and mumble your words to a customer while shrugging your shoulders in a manner that says, "Why are you asking me questions, I'm here to goof off?"

You are there to help customers and when a customer comes up to you, you do the BEST of your ability to give them the help they need.

So with that said, son of a fucking god damn bitch!!! I went back to TRU AGAIN and they got the 2 pack in this morning. The guy said they were gone in less than 20 minutes as there was a guy at the door waiting for them to open who bought them all.

Yeah, There are like 4 or 5 of us on the Ark that are in the KC area. The Independence MO, TRU is one of the Market Stores or something like that. They will get product earlier than other TRU's, sometimes they get product the others never get, and they have a NECA rep that visits them from time to time. ( I have talked to many of the employees over the years). The Liberty MO, Wal-Mart is the same way. I hit up a lot of stores and I usually only buy 1 of anything when I find them ( baring a few troop builder figures and such), I only buy duplicates when I am hunting for other people. I am willing to bet some of us KC arkers have crossed paths and never knew it.

I think the middle Pheonix head will make a great Goblin Queen/ Madelyne Pryor custom I have been wanting to make. I still have an extra MS. Marvel (from the 3 pack) that I have been waiting to use her body.

Missed my chance at getting Sue from the Walgreens website. I will catch her eventully , but she is not a real heavy want right now.

There needs to be a rule where it's one or two per person.

For those looking for the Spidey/MJ 2-pack like Dr. Kain, the TRU item number is 158183. I called my local store last week and had them look it up. They had two left, but I only wanted one and asked them to hold it for me. TRU exclusives are still far easier to find than Wal-Mart, who I absolutely dread.

Still no look with Invisible Woman. My store didn't even get the shipment last week and it doesn't seem like any of the other nearby Walgreens' got any in either. Presumably because Black Ant and Daredevil are still clogging up the shelves.

Same situation here, same exact figure clog, with a few Namors thrown in. I'm not worried about the long term prospects of finding her, in my area eventually all the Walgreens stock their exclusives well, it just takes a little time, but when they show up they are around for 6 months or more. I just want to get her now.

They couldn't have gotten all of them, unless each case is just four or less.

A lady at my TRU told me that they can't hold stuff :(

A TRU employee told me she would hold half the Dr Strange wave for me when I was deciding whether I wanted plunk down that much on an impulse buy. I didn't take her up on the offer and just went ahead and bought the whole wave...my point being that there may be some flexibility to what you were told. Again, I'm friendly with them tho'....

Quick question about the colored lghts in your pictures. Does that come from a camera effects filter or do you use colored lights when taking photos?

Both. I use acetate and editing filters/software. I'm cheap and lowbrow! :D

Edit: Yeah, the employee who told me she would hold the figs informed me that she could only get away with doing so for the remainder of the day. I figured (heh) there was no difference between that day and the next and purchased the wave on the spot...

Maybe that's how you feel. In my experience, it's the exact opposite of what you suggest. Maybe, it's a regional thing, or the truth lay somewhere between our perspectives? I was referring to my guerrilla photo style using low budget and low-tech tools...I don't have a spare $500-$2500 for a professional camera.
