^Bengal and classic Wonder Man in the mail to me please^

For the rest of you guys that either just collect or collect & custom, whatever, what do you do with your figures?
I just stand them on a shelf. Most of them live in boxes. I wish I was a child so I could play with toys again...

Whoa, I don't remember ever seeing that Vision custom...Maybe I just wasn't paying attention or something, but do you have a pic lying around somewhere of that figure?

MeLikeJinx 04-13-2017 03:05 AM

I really like that Cannonball... I like when mutants wear their blue and yellow X-men outfits with the x symbol on the belt. Also using the bottom half of the water guy is pretty neat.

The Spiderman Sinister Six multipack is up for sale. $70 seems a bit much for this.

Hmm. Guess I'll watch this through to Christmas. I mean, last year, I got that 12 inch Iron man for $15, so maybe we'll get some crazy sales going on again.

Even worse it's $80. Which puts it firmly in the "LOL no way in hell!" category. $60 would have been pushing it and I actually like the set. I'll definitely wait for that to go on sale.

Don't blame you for missing it, there's 25+ figures in the pic:

Sweet. I'm guessing standard Daredevil/Captain America mold with the head and cape of the 2016 Vision?

Same for me. Hasbro's 'bulk discount' pricing strikes again.

Have any of these shown up on Chinabay yet? Wonder if they will...

Who can see anything else with that stellar Firelord in the shot?!

$11.43 per figure ($80/7) wouldn't have been bad if these were NEW figures, or at least a spidey on the articulated Jim lee cyclops buck. $80 is just way too much to pay for some grill mark reprints. If I didn't have all of these already it might have been ok.

Too bad it couldn't have been a savage six box set, a maximum carnage, seperation anxiety, or any type of infinity box set. I still need a Mac gargan scorpion.

ukmu 04-14-2017 03:09 AM

It is a new Kraven. I actually like the look of that Spider-Man in box, has the proper retro look. This set is obviously NOT aimed at guys like us. More for the collectors of comics with a few statues, a couple modern figures and few childhood throwbacks. More of a nod to Spider-Man fans and NOT to toy fans. I think the articulation isn't an issue as it is sort of meant to not be opened.

Same price as the Force Awakens troop builder set if I remember correctly. That set sold out rather quickly and I see this selling out well before Christmas. I also would wager on NOT seeing them pop up on C-Bay as Hasbro will most likely produced these figures under contract rather than an out of house open ended buying agreement. Numbers of ill be low and tightly guarded.

Mord... Wow. Some of the cleanest work out there. I like that your work is fully possable and not painted over joints. As someone who actually gets figures out and "plays" with them, that is important to me. I like to collect work from customizers and am looking forward to adding your work to our collection.I enjoy the customs from members here, elsewhere and I even eBay perhaps the most out of all the stuff in my little plastic world.

My favourite in that group shot is Moondragon though. She is on my short list, but I want a Hasbro release of her. So that will probably never happen. Love some classic Avengers.

Of your latest, I love how you did Wonderman with swappable heads even!!!0

He uses different legs from the individual Kraven, they're just re-uses of another figure's legs but they are "new" for Kraven. That and now he has bracelets, I don't count that as an accessory since you're not meant to remove them. Mostly the same though.

Ah... I count that as a repaint then.
