Maybe that's how you feel. In my experience, it's the exact opposite of what you suggest. Maybe, it's a regional thing, or the truth lay somewhere between our perspectives? I was referring to my guerrilla photo style using low budget and low-tech tools...I don't have a spare $500-$2500 for a professional camera.

oops, i meant to say high brow, my bad! i apologize.

TheBlueMarvel 05-27-2017 12:47 PM

No need to apologize, I didn't take any offense. Even if you did feel that way, it would've been fine. People feel however they choose to feel...

For those looking for the Spidey/MJ 2-pack like Dr. Kain, the TRU item number is 158183. I called my local store last week and had them look it up. They had two left, but I only wanted one and asked them to hold it for me. TRU exclusives are still far easier to find than Wal-Mart, who I absolutely dread.

Good luck everyone!

You're the man, that code helped me snag one out of town. Now can you find me the code for the pheonix two-pack??? Is that even out yet?

The butterfly joints on my Spiderman are stuck and I ended up scraping some paint off the left shoulder when I was trying to get the joint moving (which is still stuck). Fortunately Testors insignia red is a really close match for the red on the figure (almost identical) so it's mostly fixed now. Just need to go back and touch up the red around the web lines I had to repaint. Otherwise, I'm really happy with this set.

That stinks. It's too bad you got a problem figure. I've really enjoy this Spidey and his paint is actually very well applied. I've never noticed how bad and spotty the Pizza Spidey mold is painted until I put it up next to this guy, but it's a huge improvement.

SymbiSpidey 05-27-2017 02:20 PM

The blue on the modern Spider-Man figure is probably my favorite blue of any of Hasbro's recent Spider-Men.

Thanks, Symbi.

I agree about the shade of blue used on this new Spidey. I half expect modern Spidey to get a single card release without the green glow effect. I still need a Raft Spidey (and Dreadknight - I have the other figs)...

Still no look with Invisible Woman. My store didn't even get the shipment last week and it doesn't seem like any of the other nearby Walgreens' got any in either. Presumably because Black Ant and Daredevil are still clogging up the shelves.

I'm not worried about the long term prospects of finding her, in my area eventually all the Walgreens stock their exclusives well, it just takes a little time, but when they show up they are around for 6 months or more. I just want to get her now.

Went out looking for Sue, today, but no luck. My stores seem to have the opposite problem. Went to four Walgreen's and saw stacks of Namor, but only a few sporadic Black Ants and Daredevils at each store. Kinda worried that they'll skip over Sue, because I don't even think I ever saw the Exclusive Punisher at any local Walgreen's.

As of right now, I believe it's only been found at retail in Australia.

@Tim

Thanks a lot, Tim. I'm really glad others enjoy the images!

Cause hes superbly bad ass!

With the freckles, I think the MJ head makes for a better Pepper Potts. The Rescue armor has a slightly smaller ball-joint, so the MJ head just sits on top.

While I do enjoy the figure, there are quite a few improvements needed. I really hope Hasbro could tweak it, and release it again.

It would be nice to get a properly sized rescue. Maybe they could do a two pack with rescue and a gotdamned silver centurion armor! I swear hadbro must hate it cause it has never gotten a proper release outside of the gorilla armed toybiz one.

I'm a little frustrated with the quality on Spidey. There are mold lines on the head and thighs on mine. I guess I should have looked a bit harder. I should be able to clean it up. Mary Jane came out pretty nice though, no complaints there.

Was on EBay yesterday debating whether to pull the trigger on Invisible woman...After avoiding Walgreens for about two weeks, I decide to go Walgreens tonight just to get some drinks for dinner...Went down the toy aisle, and saw at least 7 Invisible Womans...Wow!..Patience is a virtue, especially when it comes to toy collecting game...But, the funny thing is I saw no Warlock wave figures...That waves seems to be now going fast in my area, considering I see so many of the lesser known figures from past waves like, Absorbing Man, Onslaught, Dr. Strange, and GOTG2 clogging up the shelves at most of my retailers...Happy hunting, folks...I must say, Invisible Woman gives Angela a run for her money for best female action of year so far, in my opinion...Hasbro has made the best
Invisible Woman Marvel Legends action, far superior than any Marvel Legends version of her that I know or seen...

You are Correct Sir. Patience is a virtue. I was in Walgreen a few weeks ago to just pick up some Medicine and while waiting walked down the Toy Isle and saw Cyclops sitting there I was Shocked for a second then herd my name for my Prescription and grabbed him a left Happy.

They will get product earlier than other TRU's, sometimes they get product the others never get, and they have a NECA rep that visits them from time to time. ( I have talked to many of the employees over the years). The Liberty MO, Wal-Mart is the same way. I hit up a lot of stores and I usually only buy 1 of anything when I find them ( baring a few troop builder figures and such), I only buy duplicates when I am hunting for other people. I am willing to bet some of us KC arkers have crossed paths and never knew it.

Ah, that explains why those stores always seem to have better stock than those in this area. Olathe and OP stores are pretty much a joke when it comes to stock. The Targets around here have virtually no Legends anymore.

I ventured down to Joplin, MO today to meet up with some family passing through the area. I had some time to kill so I popped into their Books a Million since everyone here seems to have good luck with that store. Lo and behold they had a Cyclops sitting on the shelf for $23. Not exactly a great price but he seems to be pretty hard to find so I figured why not. Speaking of this wave, anyone have Warlock pieces for sale/trade? I have Sunfire's piece and now Cyke but I am not really into the rest of the wave.

EvilMonkeyPope 05-27-2017 08:36 PM

Hasbro cheaped out on that 2-pack Spidey. In the comics that suit has raised webs & a metallic sheen. The blue glow doesn't even look right.
I'd much rather get a Mary Jane & Dark Phoenix two-pack.

that's a definite fact of these collecting game. i tell you what though when it comes to the more hotter figures. they are still usually elusive. i still to this day have never ran into a wolverine but one time and deadpool never in any retail stores.
