Why not just get a raspberry pi for cheaper AND have more than NES games. Im always baffled by these gimmick retro consoles. I mean theyre cool gimmicks, but most hardcore gamers have their old consoles still. Theyre both emulators basically so why not get more consoles?

Yeah, I definitely get your point. The cool factor sucked me in on this one. I already added the majority of the NES library to it, and it can be modded to play Sega and SNES games, but the kinks for that still needs to be worked out. I had been using an emulator on my PSP for NES games, but I do prefer using the old gamepad.

I stalked Best Buy's site, as I heard it's the only online store now that will occasionally get stock. I got lucky and bought one when it was available.

I actually picked these up on Saturday but I checked out the other Walmart in my area and black series figures were only $10 so I picked up an exclusive shoretrooper since the local store never got any. Hot Rod came from Target which just happened to be the first in my area to get the new deluxe transformers, I actually like it a lot more than I imagined I would since I don't particularly like the character.

My local game stop had a full case today. $19.99 each. Feels good to complete the team,I still need to finish space though. The white ranger is really a stand out piece,they had 2 of him.

I got this a few days ago in an ebay auction. It was a prize from an Onstar contest more than a decade ago. I contacted them on Facebook yesterday, and they let me know over night it was one of 500 made. This is identical to the ertl 1:64, but it is made by Hasbro.

You hit the nail on the head. I now have a Pi thanks to the retro craze of the NES classic, but truly do not see the point of shelling out $60 bucks on a console that can only play 30 games and still need an additional controller.

That being said the purist of the world would say that emulators are simply emulating the hardware and then emulating the software, where the NES Classic is actually running the original hardware with the preloaded original game files. Nothing is actually being emulated since it is the untouched original files.

I'm not that serious into classic games, and to be honest the only NES game to see a decent amount of play time on my pi has been Super Dodge Ball, which in my opinion is one of the best multiplayer games on NES.

I played so much SNES on my PSP that I forgot that new PSP games were being made. I still somewhat regret updating my PSP and losing my emulators back in college.

I passed on the two constable figures for now only because I don't have room for all the Ricks and Michonnes that have been released.
Plus the Alexandria place fell apart so quickly that it isn't how or where I picture the group.

I did pick up the Aaron (said as A A-Ron) figure from Walgreen on Friday though and he is packed with accessories!

Too bad they're charging 18-20 for them though...

Considering how long it takes them to get everywhere else its worth it. Not having to drive around and waste gas or spend shipping thats a price I can live with it really saves me money :D
