And highly disorganized end caps at that. It's like the employee didn't feel like filling an endcap up, and they didn't want to move things around to put the displays in the center of the isles, so they just decided to put them up on the end cap shelves and left them there.

Went and did a wal-mart run a little while ago,and i was shocked to find majority of the homecoming wave right in front of me.

They were all there except tombstone and vulture. However i decided to snag moon knight. I already preordered the entire wave however i couldn't resist Moony lol

Robb 06-02-2017 09:12 AM

Sue is up on site.

Nice find man!

GizmoTron 06-02-2017 11:25 AM

Found most of the Homecoming wave at Walmart today. All that was missing was Moon Knight, but I picked up the rest. Walmart has the best price right now on these Legends, so I figured why wait?

They were also in aisle on the pegs, not on any endcaps. This Walmart has a Cars 3 and a Transformers endcap instead, so not every store is going to have a dedicated Spidey endcap but at least it looks like most stores are going to get the figures in anyway.

Vulture's wings are missing the end that comes with Moon Knight, but I think they're pretty nice. I'm not sure why there's so many complaints about them being cheap, seems like they hold together very well and Hasbro even tossed in a little stand to help display them. I think it's a good sign that Hasbro at least has a few new avenues to try when their selection of decent characters to be BAFs runs out.

For any interested, there is a stupidly huge sale on Marvel digital collected editions on Amazon today.

Started yesterday. I've already bought like $100 worth of stuff but that's still something like 40 trades. I've got another $50 worth lined up tomorrow if it goes on.

It's literally like 80-90% off. Looks like it breaks down to about 45 cents an issue if my math is right. It does NOT cover individual issues.

I just wonder how this came to be. All I can say if they better not go back and charge me full price if it was a mistake. At any rate it's gloriously insane. Comixology does the 50% off what 2-3 times a year? and sometimes up to 70-80% off weekly deals but usually not a lot. This appears to be everything Marvel.

Kirathis 06-02-2017 11:51 AM

Speculation is that it has something to do with some Marvel issues being part of Comixology Unlimited. I already have Marvel Unlimited so in some cases I can just read things there. Even so, these prices are insane.

I just wonder if it was supposed to be only for the items that are under Comixology Unlimited (and likely a new perm price I'd guess), and someone goofed and made it for every trade marvel.

Like I said, their loss if it's a mistake and they'd better not upcharge after, but I don't expect them to. Amazon is pretty good about owning their mistakes and eating the cost.

edit: I used to have Marvel Unlimited but the app to read it on was horrendous for me. I know it's weirdly non cost efficient but I'd honestly rather pay and be able to read than have a crappy reading experience for free.

These are old releases right? Not new...

Found Invisible woman at my local Walgreens yesterday, they had 2 more left. Just getting Tombstone & Beetle from this movie centric wave. Need classic Blacklash to team up with Blizzard/Beetle ala the great Romita/Layton battles they had with Ironman. Which is long overdue for a classic comics 70s BA Yellow/Red armor update. Tired of the endless movie armors Hasbro is cranking out. How bout comic based classic Silver Centurian/Space armor/Stealth armor & Warmachine armors. A ML sized version of the MU Crimson Dynamo would rock as well.

HaHA, yeah I know, I have been in Retail for over 15 years. I just know a lot of people don't know fixture terms , so I tend to just use basic descriptors.

Actually that is exactly how they came off the truck. There is a lot of wasted space in the shippers ( they had spacers behind each item and figure. They could have shipped almost double the amount of product that actually came in the shipper, but that is pretty typical on how a lot of shippers come in), and the way they are on the shelf is exactly how they are supposed to be. That style display is meant to fill an endcap display and that is all. Floor display's are much bigger.

And it really depends on the toy department manager on how things go out. IF there is not enough room or they can not kill a current display, they will sometimes take all the stuff out of a shipper and just put it in the home aisle spot.

And yes, I know what I am talking about. I work for the big blue box and am on quite good terms with the toy department manager. :-)

If it has been a while for you, they GREATLY improved the Marvel Unlimited app from when it started. The original was awful.

I like the movie Vulture, I just wish it had a Keaton head also. I also hope we get a Tom Holland head somewhere also, maybe in the 2 pack w/ Iron Man??

No, I meant how they just blopped them onto the shelves of the end cap instead of either putting the figures themselves on peghooks to make it look neat or putting the boxes in front of the toyisles on the floor itself (like they were made for).

When i found them today here in south florida, they were also in a end cap display.

Amazon gave me some credit towards the purchase of one of those graphic novels in the sale. Any recommendations? Bought the Dark Phoenix saga, X-Men Second Genesis and Infinity Gauntlet

Parademon1 06-02-2017 07:09 PM

Meh, Movie Vulture looks like a fighter pilot with wings.
